  1. @ahiquqbqi If we go with the Daybreaker theory, the real question is what would lead up to that, and is she still alive?
  2. Before the announcement for Celestia and Luna's retirement, I kind of pictured this being the aftermath of a tidally locked Equestria, wherein the sun and moon have stopped moving and in the absence of magic, the extremes of thermal exchange have caught up to the World via global devastation and storms. There's a few issues with this idea of course. One glaring one that I only just now realized, is that Starlight and Twilight were most likely traveling to the same point of time in the future, and it would take significantly longer for these affects to reach that level of,,, extinction. So something much worse must have taken place in a shorter period of time. Also, I have no basis for this concept within any Canon
  3. Yes, but I have 3 catches to this, two being personal and one theoretical. The first is that I'm a very go with the flow kind of person, so even when I recognize that something is impossibly different or out of place within a dream, I tend to just go along with it. The second is that even if I'm in full lucidity, the experience is often short because I tend to wake up. This is good for nightmares where I tend to be directly in harms way, because I can just nope out of there, but bad for enjoyable experiences. And third, I don't think we're in control of whether we get to be in control within a lucid dream. I don't know the official terminology, but while I'm certain the ability to see things within our mind through recollection, imagination, and dreaming all share a connection, they're different processes. Something I'd like to know from others, is, Have you ever have dreams where you're someone else entirely? Have you ever had dreams that last a significant amount of time within them, such as multiple days having passed in their entirety or longer?
  4. This is the only Kelpie I'm familiar with,,,
  5. Oh it's been so long I've had two. The first we got around 2005? Used it for a road trip, and then got it out when there was a power outage and used it regularly after that. It was thin, grey metal, and angular. It opened like a laptop and the player lid within did the same. Definitely had a look for it's time. Then in 2011 we had a different one. Much bulkier, black plastic. The player opened by sliding out. I don't think the battery on it was very good because I remember it having a short cord and we kept it at the end of the couch where it could stay plugged in. My first stepfather worked graveyard and didn't want to hear stuff playing while he tried to sleep, but I also didn't want to stop playing a movie if I went into the kitchen, so we got a set of ear covering headphones with a 30 foot aux cord. He got rid of that one after moving in 2013 or so, and we went back to the oldie which started crashing? The movie would freeze for a few seconds them the screen would turn blue. You could turn it on and off again but I think you could only skip ahead 10 minutes at a time? Plus when it started doing this it often did it with more frequency so you'd be done for the day. Then it started having battery issues as well. Luckily this was around the time I had my first laptop which of course had a disk player in those days. We didn't have internet in our apartment for the first 2 months we lived here in 2020, and phone service was iffy at best if my girlfriend and I were both trying to use it, so I broke out the old laptop and watched my dvds for the first time in a long time. That laptop is now dead dead.
  6. Small toy dinosaurs. If I see some, I have to get them. I just love seeing how accurate they can get some, while others are just fun for classic or weird designs. I mean look at this guy! He's a quadruped with an upright stance and a sail back! That's no Dimetrodon, no modern variant of Spinosaurus! They probably just went, that'd look cool! And he'll yeah it does which us why I spent $5 just to get him out of some random DIY sensory slime kit. Could be an Arizonasaurus, but I didn't know what that was till today, so I highly doubt whoever designed him did either. If I'm wrong on that though, major props! Also my go to rant if needed is how to properly make PB&J, and make it the best possible way. I have over a hundred ideas for things to be done with them. But I'm obsessive in general so just get my attention on something and I'll go off.
  7. Of course Obvs for you! Absolutely not for me. To quote The Crucible, "How may I live without my name? I have given you my soul; leave me my name!" And while many a name I have had on ze internets, they are all an intrinsic part of me, that I shall not depart. Also, I accidently made Sharp Wit my name on my first Uber account, and it was a blast having drivers call me that.
  8. I hate to disappoint, but I haven't been up to no good. The closest might be that I'm offering some of my girlfriend's birthday spankings to her mother as part of her upcoming birthday present, and my beloved is unaware.
  9. Something I'm curious about, why is he shocked? Sure you've kept this hidden, but do you not openly express joy for anything similar, such as cartoons in general, or other forms of media with world building? I myself was lucky to have family that was accepting or apathetic for the most part. They either understood it or thought, "Ah, the weird one has found something weird again", and moved on with their lives. The only two people I've gotten anything about it for in the mildest sense would be my younger brother who was into Sonic, so I could counter him there, (Not that there's anything wrong with that) and my girlfriend who is into Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, and my goodness the art style is similar on that one! Anyways, congratulations on your journey of self expression within this fandom and beyond. Take pride, both for being part of a greater community, but more importantly for being true to yourself. Never shy away from who are. As with all good things, enjoy in moderation, and we wish you the best.
  10. Night! I say as I type this at 8:24AM, but I woke up from an anxiety dream where I broke a tooth in a movie theater. Unless I'm feeling unwell, I'm not usually able to fall asleep with nothing playing in the background. Boredom keeps me up, so I find something interesting to drift off to, but if it's something I also find exciting, then that will also keep me up! Before I knew this about myself, I'd regularly stay up extremely late diving into topics I had no business div8ng into at such hours, but curiosity was trying to kill this cat through sleep deprivation. I still occasionally find myself straying from my bedside till 1 or 2 in the morning, but with far less frequency.
  11. Pegasus child, no. High level unicorn, yes.
  12. Little League for one summer. Sandlot was my favorite movie so I wanted to give it a try. My parents thought I didn't like playing so they took me out of it. In actuality, I didn't like standing in a field under the hot sun where no action was happening. This was entry level, so no one could hit it very far. I liked the game when things were happening, but turns out I have some light sensitivity and burn easily. Despite what Twilight might lead you to believe, not a great sport for vampires. Didn't matter, I've never been particularly good at sports, and the batting machines hurled the balls way faster than any reasonable person would, so I just stood their trembling until the time ran out.
  13. I only like mint tea, and to 1 cup I add, a tablespoon of honey, a tablespoon of white sugar, and half a cup of cream. Is it tea at that point? Not sure, but a bag was involved. When we housesit at my parents, I'll make coldbrew mochas for my girlfriend. That's usually a cup of milk with 6 swirls of Hershey chocolate syrup and a cup of the dark stuff.
  14. Fudgecicles. I could eat those all day.
  15. I used to work for a city run farm that operated during the summer. We were the legacy of a full sized zoo that used to operate there, and through that continuation had provided care for many animals, and an educational outlet for the public. It was my dream job honestly, and I'm proud to have been a part of through to its 100 years of operation. It was hampered by a multitude if things. The addition of red tape over the years which limited some of the animals we could have and means of interaction. Almost no means for advertising promotion on or offline. We would get a snippet in the paper and one or two Facebook posts to announce that we were open for the season. That meant if you didn't know about the farm, you really only found out by stumbling across it, and it's tucked away within a park behind some trees at the bottom of a hill, so you really only notice as you're leaving. Also, only being open during the summer meant plenty of regular park goers were used to ignoring the closed space the rest of the year, so they could easily pass by if it wasn't on their mind. The city was over budget and had accumulated quite a bit of debt, so they started shutting down smaller programs and slapping bandaids on issues. We even lost our Park Rangers last year. We had barely gotten approval to operate for another season. Then covid happened, which was the perfect excuse to shut down so much. I'm hopeful it will make a return someday. The buildings are all intact, receiving somewhat regular maintenance and a few major updates to signage, fencing and plumbing. Someone has a plan for it, but there's no available timeline.
  16. until

Last year we went to see the Phantom Menace in theaters for the 25th anniversary, and dressed up as Imperial Officers for our first Emerald City Comic Con. It was so much fun, and we were even mistaken for being members of the 501st! I wish Attack of the Clones had been given its fair shot so we could see the prequels on the big screen in order. I still need to come up with a Starwars Menu. I have my own blue milk recipe. Anyone else go to see the 25th anniversary screening for Revenge of the Sith?
  17. V for similar reasons to liking the daimond shape. Simple, sharp angles, seems to have a perspective all it's own. Is it focusing downward, or casting upward?
  18. A much younger me would've said a circle, but nowadays I go for a diamond with equal sides but elongated points on the longitudinal plane. This still falls under the label of a rhombus, but I prefer this configuration.
  19. Disregard if any of this interferes with your art style, but I see three areas that could be improved on. The first is the forelimbs. They dont appear to change in thickness where they would need support, at the shoulder for connecting to the body, or the hoof supporting their weight on the ground. This gives off what I call the noodle effect, where a lack of structure makes a limb or other body look extra flexible, as though it could wiggle like a tentacle. This is sometimes desired for certain displays of motion, particularly in early cartoons. The curves in the hind limbs are a great example of showing that the body is supported by something relatively solid, and you would not expect them to flex out in an extreme fashion. Second is the angles of the breeze created by the fan. Obviously with the height difference, some air has to be pushed upward to reach Sketchie's mane, but the angle going up should be matched opposite by the bottom, based on where the center is aimed. In this case, the bottom line should come down just a litter further. Something that can be added to indicate general direction to avoid these lines could be mini attached streamers as seen on some fans, or some debris, like a few leaves or feathers, but those work better for an outdoor setting. Third is the length or amount to to which the raised hind limb sticks out. If we cover Sketchie's front half, the back looks like it's facing towards us, even though it's really her front. Tucking that limb in slightly by shortening would adjust this view. Now for three details I particularly like. The little vents/buttons/screw holes on the fan while minimal, add so much detail to it being an actual piece of machinery. The waviness of her mane with the hair tips generally following the same direction do a fantastic job at conveying motion. You can picture the flow, and see beyond just a still shot of it suspended. Finally, in the mane again, the subtlety of the pencil work going from dark to light from the base of her head does well to show the hair dispersing and becoming less dense the further out it's blown. Thank you for sharing your artwork! This community can never get enough
  20. He also said, unfortunately no one can be told what the matrix is, you have to see it for yourself. Perhaps the scale of the matrix is beyond most people's comprehension, but we all get the general idea and can infer from there. Morpheus doesn't even try to explain what the real world is like, all while pushing Neo towards it. We're not allowed to make a reasonable decision because crucial information is being actively withheld from us. "you exist in a computer generated world of your own dreams forever" These aren't compatible. I would only be a slave to the limits of my imagination, and an illusion requires that I'm out of the know, which I shouldn't be in this scenario. What risks and hazards are present in the world of my making, and how?
  21. Yikes, should've filled this out earlier! Wearing: Nothing Hair: Windswept Eating: Pretzels a bit ago Drinking: Mostly water today, and not enough Thinking: About things I have to get done by a certain time tomorrow Feeling: Unmotivated Talking to: You if delayed conversation counts. Listening to: A car go by and my girlfriend sleep. Watching: The cursor as each letter appears with the taps of my fingies Loving: The sea Hating: The fear as my cat suddenly swipes at my foot as I lay in bed Wanting: to stop tasting blood from from biting my lip. Thanks cat. Waiting for: The inevitable Weather: 58 degrees American, mostly Cloudy, but began with complete cover that burned away with the day and is seeping back in as dusk approaches Time: To type the next line Hoping: For a good answer to the last Situation: Cetacean Absent, Citation Needed
  22. I keep reminding my girlfriend and coworkers to say please and thank you when asking Alexa for something something, and they won't. As a result, she cooperates with me on a higher performing level. Also she sang a your welcome song once, unprompted. Practice good manners at all times, and they'll serve you well when most needed.
  23. Firstly, the question here is not the same as that of the matrix. Here we are offered a world at our whim. If it fails to satisfy, that is merely user error. Also, the pill colors for the "similar" scenarios are switched from the originals. Second, forget about reality. The point of taking the pills, is to make the first real decision of your life, but that's only on paper,,,on screen? Choice is an illusion. We are bound by a variety of systems with many functions. Anywhere from defending bodily autonomy, maintaining order, keeping those in power from losing it, maintaining relationships, etc. All occurring simultaneously whether it be to our betterment or detriment. Your choices are never truly free to make because there will always be consequences. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. That's simply the cost for being part of a society, and the securities that come with it. That's why choice is an illusion. Morpheus offers a choice, but only after a considerable amount of effort in influencing our decision while pretending not to. And if we make that "choice", we're not any more free. We know the truth, but now we must work equally as hard, if not harder, to survive the hellscape that is the real world. We become a slave to the resistance, or we fight for our sole survival, which is guaranteed to end poorly. In this topic's option, Morpheus may not be a part of the question, but the struggles that his world comes with absolutely are. When picking between that or something of your making, not even the machines', there's only one clear answer.
  24. Sleeves of holding Oh man, where do I begin without saying too much? Poplar trees would sprout up regularly on my grandma's property along the treeline growing up, and if left alone would gradually take over the yard. I thought it would be fun to climb up them, then swing back and forth till they snapped, and timber! Down I'd go, tree and all. My grandma liked that they were no longer taking over and started paying me to do it. One that I still do is on chicken nuggets from McDonald's, I eat the skin/breading first, and then the meat separately.
