  1. Oh lord... a yugo. It might be a good car if you live in the ex-bloc countries.
  2. I've had my heart set on an Aprilia, but I've two V-twin bikes already. Both Suzuki. A TL1000R and a SV1000S, both great bikes. I love em.
  3. It depends on how loud it is imo, I was never the biggest fan of harleys but I do love a V-twin sport bike (they're getting rare nowadays) It's true though that the louder your pipes are, the more noticed you'll be on the interstate. If people were more observant and learn to check over their shoulders before lane swaps it wouldn't be as big of a problem, but I've had people try to come over on me before. Honk and they typically catch that you're in the lane. Thx about my avatar. It's supposed to be a ponified version of Ayanami Rei from Neon Genesis Evangelion. It's not a creation of my own, but I did touch the eyes up since the original artist got them the wrong color.
  4. as the old adage goes... loud pipes save lives.
  5. Only accident I've had on mine was not my fault. Stupid deer. They do make rain gear for motorcycles, as you said staying warm shouldn't be an issue, and bikes aren't as bad as people make them out to be unless you're doing whole day trips on them or something.
  6. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Suzuki-SV-2007-suzuki-sv-1000-s-sv-1000-sv-1000-w-warranty-/201003192285?forcerrptr=true&hash=item2eccb94fdd&item=201003192285&pt=US_motorcycles Got all sorts of cool factor, cheap to insure, cheap to drive. What more could you want? Also brilliantly fun.
  7. So you were playing GTA and Half Life at the age of five? Either you have some wonderful parents or you're full of it.
  8. According to your profile... you were still sucking your thumb in the early 2000's.
  9. I don't think that he meant go back to the 80's hardware wise rather as a process of thought. However, I think late 90's to early 00's would be better. That's the golden age of gaming in my book. However I'd support moving back to the mindframe of the 80's simply because anything is better than today's game devs.
  10. Games also sell for significantly more than a blockbuster film and have an equally wide audience. The problem isn't rising development costs, it's that they've lulled themselves into thinking that they can just take a big crap, wrap it in shiny plastic and everyone will buy it.
  11. That's a lie. It was an excuse to save on R&D costs. Anyways, like I said, it's irrelevant. Games are shitty in today's market.
  12. @, The departure to use X86 breaks a 20+ year tradition and is a symptom of the bigger picture that Sony and Microsoft(except for the case of the original Xbox, which everyone can collectively agree was shit) are less interested in making a good product and more interested in just pushing out crap to the masses. They could have easily still done the same things on more specialized hardware, it didn't need to be X86. Power architecture worked well for current gen. It could have worked equally as well for next gen. I don't really see the relevance of any of this though. The video gaming industry has collectively gone to hell in a hand basket. First the big names got greedy and started doing DLC instead of X-Packs, then came microtransactions, now they don't even bother to made a decent product to begin with because they can promise us a "better game" next year. Now you've got Indie game developers following suit with horrible customer service and shitty products. If something big doesn't happen soon in the industry, it's not going to matter what console you have because all the games for it wont be worth playing.
  13. I wasn't talking about the do-it-allness of the software. The PS3 and Xb360 were quite capable of doing pretty much everything that the PS4 and XB1 except for the watching TV part. In fact the PS3 in some aspects is more capable than the PS4. I'm, however, was talking about the hardware used in the product itself.
  14. Consoles used to be specialized pieces of hardware, they aren't anymore. The Xbox one and PS4 are just a PC in sheep's clothing.
  15. You're seriously trying to compare SS3 to BF4? They're complete opposite ends of the genre.
  16. When a game hasn't changed in over a decade continues not to change?
  17. rofl... cod. you got jokes son.
  18. I play it, haven't had many problems with it, Alpha sure, shorty after release the crashes sucked and they fluffed up my premium order, so I didn't actually get china rising until a couple days ago. My big thing with the BF series is that they've made vehicles too overpowered by giving them infinite ammo. Now you see tanks, apc's, etc... just blowing the hell out of buildings all the time. There was a day when you had to worry about ammo conservation in vehicles and because of that you couldn't just sit there and lob shells at everything. I really have enjoyed team deathmatch mode. Small maps, no vehicles... I've yet to run across a high ticket count TDM server tho.
  19. The more ram sticks you have the more likely an unstable OC will occur but it's best to fill out a channel at least.
  20. My desktop is an AMD FX-8350, OC'ed to around 4.6/4.7 (I don't remember the exact number off the top of my head) For simple gaming, you will see much better performance out of a comparably priced i5. That is indisputable fact. AMD still lacks the single threaded performance that Intel has and most games are still single threaded. Sure the GPU is ultimately just as important when it comes to gaming, but after building my AMD desktop, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking to build a good gaming computer except in the sub 800 dollar price range.
  21. I remember playing Wolf3d when it was brand new :/ Now i feel old.
  22. When it comes to the FX series, I'd have a hard time recommending it for a gamer. Sure you can take it and overclock the hell out of it, but its stock performance for gaming leaves something to be desired. You'll get much better performance out of a comparably priced i5 for simple gaming. If you're doing things such as recording your games, and other heavily multithreaded applications, the FX-83xx series does start to come alive and can hold its own against some much more expensive i7 processors. Also, there's a leaked AMD roadmap showing that there will be no future advancements of the FX series past vishera (at least for the foreseeable future), all future R&D from AMD is going to be going towards their APU's. AMD's chipsets also leaves a lot to be desired compared to intel.
  23. Ayanami Rei must be number one on the list. No exceptions.
