  1. When your an orchestral composer, something like this is a dream come true... http://www.soundsonline.com/CCC2 Dang it I'm only $300 off! D':

  2. Hm, been a while since I participated in this thread come to think of it. Here, have a couple pics of the productive things I did this last week. DAMN STRAIGHT MY HANDS HURT.
  3. Someone on Tumblr started a blog for Filly Twilight. I thought "Oh hey cool." Then I went to it and found their first post was basically just like mine in terms of the picture. "Okay that's creepy." Then I noticed they were using a lot of the same techniques that I have been using for my "Ask Tia and Woona" blog. "W8 WOT"

  4. I did it... I survived the camping trip without my electronics... and now to get updated on what the buck happened in the last week.

  5. New avatar/logo, just in time for me to go on vacation for a week.

      Nice. Have fun!

  6. If you've watched the videos by FlamingoRich that I suggested to you, you should have heard of something called Single-Framing. Single-Framing is (excuse the pun) the single most brilliant invention of flash animation... Okay maybe that's exaggerated. If you double-click into the eye-lashes of any flash puppet, you should be able to find multiple different frames, the first six or so being for a blinking animation. (It takes six frames for a full cycle blink animation.) From there you can create a more-or-less randomized loop, to make the blinking inconsistent, making it appear more real and less systematic. Basically have them blink once, wait 10 frames, have them blink twice, wait 30 frames and have them blink again a couple times. Either way, great progress! I won't repeat what others have said but you should definitely take those to heart as well. EDIT: Oh, I almost forgot! When animation one part of the body, try animation the entire body just the slightest bit. This doesn't have to be done in any complexity, just a little bit of a skew motion tween for when her head leans forward for example. You should also focus on anatomy and see what parts should move in conjunction, such as the head and neck. (Trust me, anatomy is the most annoying part to learn, but it's a life saver, especially with legs!) Here, this was one of my first animation tests. The mouth movement isn't very good, but I focused a lot on the motion and such. I can provide a .fla file for you to look closer at some of my works if you wish? http://technologyflash.net/SWF/TiaTalkandTurnTest.swf
  7. Alright, first things first; the traditional answer to things regarding recent problems... Try clearing your cache by going into google chromes settings > advanced settings > clear browsing data. Select "clear cache" and try reloading the forums. If this doesn't work, it may be an issue with IP.Board. If that's the case, I'm sure we can get to the bottom of this issue ASAP!
  8. Hello x86cam, and welcome to the world of animating! I've been using flash animation for quite a while now, and I've discovered a few great things to help with learning to use flash animation with ponies. Primarily a glorious thing called Flash Puppets! Flash Puppets are basically pre-made artistic assets, that you can move the limbs and parts around whichever way you want. (Kind of like the Pony Creator.) These flash puppets often include different facial expressions and speech patterns, animations for pegasus wings flapping and other similar things! (Such as blinking and eye expressions.) Take a look at my avatar. The ponies there were made using custom flash puppets by myself, plus some image effects and editing. I recommend going here and downloading all these flash puppets, and messing around with them. http://jerry411.deviantart.com/art/MLP-Flash-Puppets-collection-UPDATE-21-6-2013-371440821 On top of that, you can use these videos to learn how to use them! The person does great commentary, and provides great help on how to use flash animation with these puppets. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLOekhFFnlWer7iqH4ckQIu-CCl-v38nx Good luck! If you ever have any questions, feel free to let me know. There's another person around here somewhere who I believe has more experience with flash animation than me named @Motion Spark. You should keep your eyes peeled for him and contact him about it as well.
  9. This topic concerns a technical or general issue that is better suited for an admin to handle, due to its' complicated or private nature. It is thus better suited as a Support Ticket. This is an automatically generated message, by the way.
  10. Made a preloader in flash CS6 \o/

  11. Final Exam of the year! Finish him! *plays Archangel by Two Steps From Hell*

  12. Wow. Today was... pretty productive. :o

  13. I'll be honest. Pretty much all of my IRL friends... I'd probably fail to go very far. Sure I care a ton for them, but my emotional attachment to them just honestly isn't as high as the kind I have with my online friends. Yeah, it'd damn well make me lock myself in my room for a couple days if they were to die or something of the sort, I'm an emotional person. Now it may sound funny for me to say that I feel more attached to my online friends than my real life friends, but I'll be honest. A majority of my friends just share a common interest. Almost none of them are the kind of people to provide advice, comfort, support and care. My online friends, whom of which know who they are, are the ones I would literally sacrifice a great deal for their sake. Now I doubt anyone can guarantee a life-sacrifice sort of situation, but I'm sure many can come pretty damn close. These people are the ones who truly express emotional ties. People that you can lean on, and that will also lean on you when they need to. People that truly care and matter. I don't know what the difference is between online and real life. Perhaps it's just easier to find people because they're more outspoken online. Perhaps it's just luck. But in the end, I would give a lot to see my truly close friends happy, and to see them escape harm, and I make it my goal, no, my ambition to see it through.
  14. Well, there are other ways to get an image-randomizing signature. For example, this is what I used until I learned how to code it all myself. http://www.random-image.net/ It supports images with different dimensions and file formats I believe... Albeit it kind of has a bandwidth limit. There is obviously a way to make an image randomizer that works like this, it's just a matter of having the knowledge on how. @_@ Anyways, if it was to "just work" then the forums could easily and quickly break. If it supported PHP script embeds then that could be not only dangerous to the sites status as a working, functional and full site, but dangerous to security as a whole as well. (Not to mention it'd be incredibly difficult to implement.) Sorry this didn't quite turn out the way you had hoped. Either way, I think this is worth considering taken care of now and brought to a conclusion. Therefore, I'm locking this thread up. Thanks to all those who participated in this... interesting development of a thread!
  15. Don't worry. I claimed the first one, not the pony one. :3 The TENDO!Twilight one was too freaky for my liking on a pony forum. D: It is mine. You cannot have it! D:<
  16. HNNNGH It's honestly really tempting for me to use this. I think I might just do it... Aaah I don't know... I'm a crazy Naruto nut, and the entire Pein/Pain arc drove me mental from the sheer combination of "All this mystery and information, stunning!" and "HOLY CRAP THIS IS AWESOME." Must... resist... urge... ~CD~... may I please use this sig...? D:
  17. Actually, from what I've seen it does in fact support scripts, if you do it right. Take a look at the signature I made here, This is created with a PHP script, using a pre-made image and then pasting a random text message on top of it. (After some mathematical text centering.) The PHP script can be found here, which does the same function: http://technologyflash.net/Siggy/sig/siggy.php All I changed was adding a /ZAWP.png which can be whatever you like, as long as the image extension matches. So for all I care, I could make it /GENERICSIGNAME.png and it would still work. For one you shouldn't need the jpeg and jpg file extensions since from the looks of things, none of your images are jpeg's. This script is redirecting to a different image, unlike the one I was using which just uses the same image each time and adds new text to it. The problem here is that the script cannot load correctly since, this in general doesn't support pasting a PHP script. You'd have to find a work around like me and Zoop used, where we added a non-existent image after the script location. Unfortunately, this won't work for yours since it requires redirecting, and uses two different image extensions. With the way this script is it simply cannot work on the forums, unless you find a way to randomize the image within the file. The reason it can't get the dimensions is because there is no image for it to get the dimensions from. Try visiting http://rotw.ca/images/avatars/random.php/randomimage.png or http://rotw.ca/images/avatars/random.php/randomimage.gif (after making the random.php file again.) It gets an error as a result. (A redirect loop to be exact.)
  18. "Hm, oh cool, another artist made a thread. I should go check this ou-" *trips over the first post* D: This... this is good... this is excellent! You're an awesome artist my friend! I cannot wait to see more from you! Keep up the good work, and welcome to the forums!
