    Pet Peeve: Starlight being called a Mary Sue. Uh…if you call her a Mary Sue, you don't know what it means. Mary Sues have no personality weaknesses or flaws. Starlight has two really severe flaws: lack of awareness to consequences and applying the extremes to the simplest of problems.

      For example, I don't think having flaws disqualifies a character from being a Sue. The protagonist of the Twilight Saga has all sorts of flaws (excessive dependence on her boifriend, clumsiness, etc) but she's definitely a Sue in my eyes all the same.

      If I had to put it into words, I'd say that a Sue may have many flaws, but they'll never be treated like flaws or be presented in a way that'd actually make you think less of the character. Sort of like "I'm a workaholic" is a weaksauce answer to the common interview question "What is your biggest weakness?"

      Anyone who looks at Starlight and calls her OP just by looking at her magic is being incredibly shallow. She has plenty of weaknesses to go around.
