      I can totally recognize your style. Shoot; this jazz style seems like it deliberately has notes and chords that're just a little off from what your ears are expecting, and it keeps you listening to see for where it goes next, almost like the music is about to topple over into a different chord. Maybe that's a good picture of the times from when this music was coming: the economy and social structures were about to change, and everything was so fragile...

      I like it :) In fact, it's a better listen the second time!

       

      Anyhow, as for ideas for lyrics, what came to my mind the second time I listened to it was a singer in a nightclub, very tired (hence the slow, low music without much excitement), and she's written a song about why she doesn't want to be a singer at a nightclub anymore. The hook that flitted through my mind was "Nights were made for sleeping".
