Well, the title/question of the thread is "Why are Bronies Disliked?" So it makes sense that he's talking about bronies. And of course, not everyone who calls themself a brony does this, but regardless, it IS acts like he's pointing out that make people dislike the fandom. -
It should have been, since it took two hours to write it. And thank you for the welcome, and yes, I like Pokemon and ponies.

Honestly, while most aspects of the game mechanic wise and graphics wise were fantastic, possibly the most enjoyable I've played in the series, but one thing that bugged me was the lack of stuff to do post-game compared to say, Heartgold and Soulsilver. That and I keep getting my ass kicked in online battles... And if I were to list my favourite new Pokemon, it would probably be something like this: 1.Sylveon. Saved me from dying a lot, and I just find the design adorable. 2.Chespin, but only the first and third forms. Because Quiladin just looks too goofy to me, but the rest of the line is great. 3.Xerneas. By far my favourite of the legendaries. Not only does it do a great job of showing off the new fairy type, but it's so majestic looking. 4.Fletchling line. A really nice idea for a reigonal bird, I love the fire-flying combination (a reason why I like Charizard) and I just like the design. 5.Greninja line. By far the most overrated pokemon of X and Y in my opinion, but even I can't deny that it's badass. Plus I love Pokemon with high speed and special attack. 6.Goodra line. New Dragon type? Looks adorable? Purple? My kind of pokemon. 7.Espurr line. Literally just a case of liking the designs, plus it's a rare thing for the series, a cat pokemon I actually like. And those are the ones on the top of my head. Keep in mind, I'm not a competitive pokemon player or anything.

True, but such a thing can drive people away from the fandom, causing them to dislike bronies. Plus, word on the internet, rants, etc, tends to spread surprisingly far.

In answer to the question "Why are bronies disliked?" (since I haven't given my two cents) 1.The obvious, some bronies will try and shove ponies into everything. Every conversation, every comment thread, everything. Even if it's about as related as a camel and Neil Armstrong's space suit. 2.Bronies tend to whine. A lot. And no, not all bronies do this, but I've seen it a lot. Such as the reaction to equestria girls, reaction to Vinyl's eye colour, e.t.c. 3.Bronies will sometimes refuse to accept anything that has been deemed out of the general fan-cannon. Examples are people always associating Vinyl with dubstep, Equestria daily have been known to decline stories that move away from fan-canon, and how fans pushed and pushed to get Heartstrings' name changed to "Lyra". 4.Another obvious one, Rule 34. I know it happens with everything (heck, it's in the rule's description) but the sheer amount of it, and the sheer amount of strange artwork and stories involving rule 34, and at times rather creepy rule 34 is shockingly large. Not going to go into details, but you can probably guess what I mean.

Well, it COULD be men past their teenage years, since a considerable amount of bronies are at that age.
