  1. @Seamore Sandwich Hey! Heard you were playing princess Luna. Now, I'm not entirely sure if you're aware of my characters current situation or what has been happening with my character, but currently she's dreaming. If you can think of something meaningful to intervene and talk with her about, that might be cool. It's a fun idea, but if you're not aware, or you can't think of anything meaningful to do, then you deffinately don't have to.

The path towards the tents weren't exactly going fast, but with how Phoenix were holding up, it was amazing that she were even able to get up there without being carried regardless. Quite frankly, since they didn't get there before around 23:00, he had only gotten mor e respect for her will, though will were only going to keep her up for so long.

Going to one of the empty tents near where they had met Widdershins, Foxy and the others, he'd help her into what turned out to be a vastly more spacious area than were shown on the outside. Some powerful spell by a unicorn no doubt, but he wasn't interested in pondering this right now.

"We're here. Now let's get you to bed before you pass out. I'll stick around until you fall asleep if you prefer, but then I will have to find rest myself in the tent next to this. I should likely check up on the scorched draconequus we left behind too before then. Likely better to make sure that he's still there before he interrupts your sleep out of nowhere."

Though he were curious about how she had learned to transfer magic, asking about it was pretty far from his mind right now. Phoenix needed rest, and his drilling and prodding into her mind wasn't appropriate considering that. The more she could sleep the better.

    (let's not leave out @Widdershins)

Phoenix simply went with him, silent the rest of the time. she was sure she had lots to explain to blitz. she was sure that he wanted to ask millions of questions about her talent. quite frankly, it would have been a bit much for her to explain at the moment, and she was thankful for the fact that Smokey respected her current condition. after they had reached the tent, she flopped down onto a sleeping bag, not even bothering to waste the energy to crawl into it.

she knew that Smokey would probably stay there until she fell asleep anyway, and she was too weak to protest. she simply lay down and closed her eyes as she let the thoughts and events of the day dance through her mind. slowly, as she held these thoughts they began to become more and more abstract as she drift into the realm of dreams. some of them were horrible, as she dreamt that the draconiquus simply went on revealing every detail about her, and all of her attempts to attack were fruitless. and some of her dreams were rather delightful, as she dreamt that she was learning from Smokey.

. from the outside, Smokey could clearly see Phoenix laying there like a sack of rocks as she lightly snored. it was very clear that she was asleep, and it had happened nearly the instant she closed her eyes.

Smokey considered chuckling as Phoenix fell to the ground, but it seemed rather rude all things considered, so he just went with a knowing look in his eyes and a small msirk as he bent downand did his to help her back on her hooves.

"There is no shame in being exhausted Phoenix. After what you have just done, I'm surprised you even lasted on your hooves for this long. Now come on, let us take one step at a time, and you just support yourself against me, okay? If anything goes wrong or you start to fall, I'll keep you up with my magic until we have gotten to the tent area so you can have a good, well deserved rest. We will try and find out what to do about Widdershins and so forth when we both have a fresh, well rested mind to gaze upon things with."

Carrying her on his back might seem a bit undignified for a proud mare like this, so he did not offer that option, and wouldn't either unless it turned out she were to not able to be moved at all, but that was simply a bad thought hopefully. With some degree of luck and some parts determination, it should be possible to get her up there relatively okay, long as they took it slowly, and then be on route for long-awaited sleep. Celestia knows that even if he had some energy, he could really use some hours to shut the brain off and just dive into the dream world.

Phoenix gave a quick nod, and a "thank you" as Smokey lifted her up off of the ground. she lifted up one of her hooves to brush the dirt off of her face, and chest. she leaned against him as she moved each of her hooves one by one as they walked towards the tent.

although it did work against her sense of pride, she couldn't help but be thankful. after all, he did sorta owe her after she healed him like that. she rolled her eyes a bit as she imagined the following conversation. surely he'd pry at her to try and find out where she learned that. even she herself knew that not many ponies had such a talent.

Smokey had lost consciousness for e few minutes whilst the stream had done its work. Too much energy usage tended to take him out of it like that, but as he regained himself a few seconds from Phoenix being done with her energy transfer, he barely felt wrong at all. Tired, granted, yet he were generally rejuvenated.

Opening his eyes, he were pleasantly surprised to find that the clouds had vanished and left his eyes as normal for now. Though he could handle himself with the partial vision, it was a huge nuisance and left him open for attack or tripping over things constantly, and being out of what he had expected to take at least a few hours was a relief. Until his eyes fell on Phoenix that were, and how she seemed to have to really dig into the ground to be able to stand up.

It was as one could expect he supposed. This kind of thing were likely incredibly draining for the caster, especially with the state he had been in before, which made him rather surprised actually that she hadn't fallen down currently. It was likely more will than actual energy that made her stand tall, though that couldn't last forever.

Getting on his hooves, he brushed a patch of dirt off his vest and took a few steps closer to Phoenix, looking equally impressed and worried at the mare.

"I thank you for that Phoenix, as reckless as I feared it would be. Yet I can see that it have taken its tool on you to go through this. Please, allow me the honor to help you towards the tents so you can rest?"

He could really use a nap as well, but he were not as bad off as Phoenix likely were right now. Quite frankly, he wasn't sure if she could get up there on her own, or if perhaps he'd end up having to carry her, but it didn't matter either. She had lost her own energy to provide him with some, and the bare minimum he could do were to bring her safely to a place where she could rest, even if it meant having to carry her there.

    (and @Widdershins)

Phoenix looked at Smokey as he offered her the help "no thanks, i'll be fine..." she said as she lifted her hoof to attempt to walk. she was able to successfully lift one of her hooves, and with a decent amount of concentration, place it down where she wanted it. however, it was obvious that this method was slow and inefficient. she clearly wasn't walking normally. she made another attempt, and tried to put herself into a good rhythm, but as she tried doing so, she stumbled and fell face first onto the ground.

"so much for playing it off" she thought to herself as she huffed, blowing her mane out of her eyes. it was clear then from this point on that she would require some assistance, something that a pony like Phoenix absolutely despised asking for.

to Phoenix's fortune, it seemed as though Smokey was the understanding type, and wouldn't ridicule her or make fun of her for needing help. she simply lay there in wait for him to assist her to her hooves.

  5. ah. i'm a fan of anime with a really deep story. ones like fate/zero and fate/stay night: unlimited blade works. as well, i also love code geass and guilty crown.

i'm also a mecha junky, so gundam is in there as well.

would widdershins pilot a 60 foot war machine that was as agile as a ballerina and could fly as fast as a sonic jet?

Issue really is that morning, if we follow the current time spend, will take about two months to actually happen. Time moves slowly in the RP. since I don't run the sort of ship that goes a day in real time is a day in RP time. Far too rushed that sort for my taste.

Again, my offer stands to have you join me in a morning part and then RP between us until the rest picks up, but it is your choice of course. :)

actually, i think you said it was 21:30 (or 9:30) but i think what Phoenix and Smokey have been through has taken them an hour or two at least. so i suppose time is moving, somewhat.

also, i know this might make things a little more confusing, but with so many things going on, it could be entirely possible that time moves at different speeds for different groups of characters who are getting things done faster than most. it may not seem to make a whole lot of sense, but think of it this way. since many of these interactions hardly ever cross over, it wouldn't damage things /too/ badly. you'd just have to think that perhaps, what's happening with my character and smokey, could be up ahead in the future for some, or in the past for others. the way i prefer to think it is that each and every single one of these seperate stories happening within casual stroll are like their own little bubble. and these bubbles can move at whatever pace they want to without interfering with other bubbles

i think that's a wacky way @Widdershins would wonderfully work with

Much as he wasn't okay with this, Smokey didn't have the energy to try and move away again from Phoenix. Even if he did think it better that she did not waste her energy on somepony like him, the choice had been made by the mare, and the only thing he could really do were to just lie still on the ground and accept it, all the while thinking on how weakened she would be after this.

    "I'm not leaving her here."

That was the first thought that came to mind when he thought on that scenario, where she were drained on the ground and he were unsteadily wandering around on borrow energy. Much as he were somewhat selfish at times and knew that in this life, thinking about yourself first were the only way to get somewhere long term, he couldn't just go ahead and do something like this. It was immoral and a pathetically petty thing to do, and especially after what she were doing now.

It wasn't just that he owed her more than taking a hike though. He would have done that for mostly anypony outside of the black and grey market circles, long as it didn't cause him to end up with a knife in his chest. Truth be told he actually enjoyed the company of Phoenix and how each layer that slowly peeled off seemed to reveal more questions than it answered. Mysteries intrigued him, just as a sharp wit did, and Phoenix had both in spades.

Granted, he had friends here and there in the lands. Contacts, those he spoke with, some family, that sort of thing. But that wasn't the same as one who truly fascinated him like this. Those he knew only a few dozen of, and Phoenix were ranking near - if not on - the top.

He wasn't going as far as calling her a confidante currently though. Mysteries were all find and dandy, but the shady sort of thing he did had details he'd not even go over with his own family. What he had said before about how he dealt with things were essentially what the most scrutinizing pony in his life knew, and that was really not giving details, because he knew that giving too much, could put him in jeopardy. You didn't openly go and flaunt about with proof that you had broken a severe amount of laws unless you were a fool.

As he thought over this, he felt the strength start to get back to him,and his sight clearing up more and more. Not enough to remove it completely, but to make it a lesser nuisance that only caused him some blank spots infrequently rather than as the general norm.

"Please don't overdo this Phoenix. You don't know what can happen if you go too far."

    (let's not forget @Widdershins)

Phoenix simply sat there and watched as the golden stream of magic whisped it's way from her horn and into Smokey's. as she did so, she couldn't help but think about how Smokey seemed to care for her well-being. "why is that?" she wondered. perhaps he was growing fond of her too. it brought back some memories.

images of her old village played like a slideshow in her head. she remembered the friends she had. the feeling was very similar. was she beginning to consider her a friend? that's a lot considering what she had put him through. without a doubt she was not the easiest pony to put up with.

she closed her eyes as the stream of magic continued. she was feeling a bit dizzy, as if she had been overcome by vertigo. that, and her muscles simply seemed to be less responsive than normal. but, if she put up a good act, perhaps she could convince Smokey that it's nothing to worry about.

after a couple more moments, the stream of magic seemed to fade, making sounds like the whipping of wind as it disappeared. she had finished doing what she needed to do. if she was correct, Smokey should now be back to around 90% of his normal strength. she would have gone farther, but Smokey was right. much farther and she wouldn't be able to simply shake it off.

after she had finished, she pushed herself up onto all fours, and dug her hooves in a little bit in order to anchor herself. otherwise she might stumble or collapse. she looked down at Smokey, waiting for him to get up as well.

So cute how they're getting closer together! Were I not dead currently I'd totally be reaching into both their souls to bodyswap them for more awesome rom-com hijinks!

i would allow it. would be funny and kinky

might be difficult, however without complete understanding of how each of our powers work. we would each have to sorta write the outcome of the actions they try for eachother.

Smokey's eyes widened as he were being fed magic by Phoenix. What exactly he had hoped for when she got closer to him were... Private, but it certainly wasn't something like this. A practice which he had heard a few stories about before, but never seen in action. Quite frankly, he had thought it a silly notion that it was a thing, but as his own horn got fed a small stream of magic and his eyes began to cloud a littlw less, he had to face that this were fact. Which were also one on the reasons why he mustered some of his remaining strength into rolling away from her until he were out if radius.

    "Please stop this Phoenix."

His voice had gotten pleading as he glanced at her, still with his own version of cloudy eyes, though with more consistent, rapid pacing of the clouds that allowed him to catch glimpses through the blanket of white.

"I know you mean well, and I thank you for the concern, but I cannot accept your strength. It belongs to you, and keeping on this way will just weaken you as well.

I will be fine without, I promise. I just need a few minutes to rest my legs, and as for my eyes... I have wandered with them like this before. I'll live."

He did his best to sound reassuring and give a big, calm smile afterwards, but truth were that he knew how mucked up he were right now. Something which would be fixed in time granted, but could have been pressed along if he had just accepted the magic flow for long enough.

Yet he found that he couldn't find it in himself to be so selfish about this. Whilst he could get his strength back by having it given like this from Phoenix, he didn't think it right for her to end up the weakened one. Not for him.

Besides, much as he underplayed things, he would eventually be okay, he was sure of it. Never been permanent thus far after all.

    ( @Widdershins as well)

Phoenix lifted her head as she heard the grass rustle beside her. she saw Smokey as he rolled away, trying to avoid her magic. she simply watched him, and listened in silence as he made his pleas. she simply stood up and stared down at him. she gave it a bit of thought. she could decide to abide his request and stop, or she could keep going

the way she saw it, smokey wasn't going too far. she could simply keep making attempt to heal him, and he wouldn't have very much say in it. or, she could be selfish, and use this as an excuse not to reveal the true extent of her magical ability.

of course, smokey also made a point of his own. using this magic was fairly draining. as a light breeze blew by, her own legs began to wobble. her strength was temporarily faded, but she was determined.

she dug her hooves into the ground, and made an effort to make her way towards Smokey, as she moved each of her hooves one by one, making sure each was dug in enough to give her a bit of stability before attempting to move another. after a few quiet moments, she began again, as the stream of magic made it's way over to smokey.

this wasn't an easy decision for her. not in the slightest. never before has she shown another pony any of her magic. at least, none who survived. she chuckled lightly to herself as she realized what it was she was doing "i guess i'm growing fond of him" she thought to herself. she was having mixed feelings about it. part of her was upset, possibly even angry that she was letting this stallion see her magic. the magic that she had researched for years.

although she was a mare of reason, her fighting instincts were still fighting their way to the surface. she wanted to stop. such an act she was currently performing was an act of mercy, and that could easily be taken advantage of. it's a risk she's never been willing to take, at least not until now.

part of her felt... okay with this, as odd as it was.

"Did I look at you like I blamed you? I'm not sure anymore. if I did, I'm-"

Smokey were interrupted as his legs finally gave away and he fell flat on his stomach with a thud.

"-sorry. I just can't believe this. Draconequui, they're supposed to be demigods. How can you kill that with simply fire? Was his magic really that unpredictable that it fueled it enough to straight up end himself?"

He couldn't remember if he had looked wrongly at Phoenix anymore. He didn't think so, but right now, as his vision were compromised from the grey clouds soaring lazily over the otherwise pure white that had filled his eye-sockets, and his energy had been spent so severely on getting hold of the fire that had been tossed around, he was quite frankly not certain that he kept completely in control of himself. Could be that what he thought of as bafflement, had muddled up in his tired mind and looked like blame or something akin to that. Not intentionally, but he could see how she would not like it regardless.

"Perhaps he isn't dead though. It could be another game, or just something that puts him in stasis. I've only ever heard of one draconequus truly die before, and the circumstances around that one's demise is nothing small, so they have to be insanely resilient. Perhaps enough to survive what would kill anything else?"

A shaky hoof were raised to his face as he shook his head a little, trying to think about what this might all mean, and what the consequences of this would be. Not to think of the implications, which would cast the few things he knew of draconequui in a muddled, uncertain light.

"We will see I suppose. How are you doing though Phoenix? I can't really see you that much right now. Are you hurt?"

The eyes of his were a problem when it went like this. Using too much magic at once would essentially whiten his eyes completely, with only faint glimpses through a fog that would run over his eyes like clouds until he were finally rested enough, but that could take anywhere from a few minutes to days, depending on the circumstances, and whilst this wasn't the worst he had tried, he wouldn't be surprised if this would go on for several hours at least.

    @Widdershins

Phoenix retorted to his first statement "you seem like the type of pony who would be upset that i just attacked someone..." she said, as she took a few steps off to the side, away from the burnt corpse. she heard the light thud as smokey fell to the ground, but she didn't turn to look at him. simply, she listened to him ask himself all of those questions.

of course, she wasn't feeling too well either, after she had carelessly cast all of that magic. she lifted up a hoof to rub her horn as she winced. now, she had quite the headache.

as she listened to smokey, she couldn't help but think that he brought up a good point. draconequui are supposed to be immortal. it wasn't unreasonable to think that it was simply playing dead for the time being. "what a bummer" she thought to herself as she glanced over once more at the corpse. then she looked at smokey, who was laying on the ground. clearly he was exhausted from all of that.

then, she was shocked a little by his last question. it's almost as if he cared more about her and not himself. why would he feel the need to ask her if she was alright? perhaps he was simply the selfless type. in any case, Phoenix could see no reason why he'd need to know. "i'm fine" she answered with a bit of a huff.

another detail about his last statement that caught her attention, was the fact that he said he couldn't see her very well. was something wrong with his eyes? she trot over towards him, stopping only a few feet away. she squinted as she looked him in the face. she noticed that his eyes had a visible cloudiness to him "if anything, i should be the one asking you that" she said as she looked away from him.

for some odd reason, she couldn't bare to look at him. not with the current circumstances, at least. "but why?" she asked herself, as she stood there. certainly, she thought he'd be upset with all of this going on. after all, it was seemingly her fault that he was in this condition. could it be that she was feeling a bit of guilt?

in any case, the only way she could possibly make things right is if she tried to heal him. very gently, she knelt herself down at his side, and her horn began to glow with a warm friendly yellow color, lighting up the surrounding area. a gentle stream of magic began to flow into Smokey, as she attempted to help rejuvenate him.

hey! yeah. i was actually at work around the time i said that. i was a little exasperated and exhausted and i also get a little self conscious when people point out inconsistencies i might make :(

that being said, i was just caught at a stressful moment .-. i'm sure if i proofread (which i normally don't) things would definitely be more consistent to what you were ACTUALLY trying to do.
