  1. @@Windbreaker "Well, you sure are cocky. Popularity was always the least of my concerns." She replied. She stroked her hair back. She was wearing some kind of black-and-grey outfit, including a jacket, medium-sized skirt and some leggings made out of some kind of silk fabric. She also had this unusually grey flower in her hair, yet it looks healthy and alive. She actually looked pretty gorgeous for a Penumbran, not something you would see everyday. But, it's probably not someone you'd fall for, anyways. That spear she's holding is quite ominous, however. It's a lance with a Jagged Blade, almost to resemble a serpentine fang. It also has some sort of snake wrapping around the pole as some kind of decoration. It's not something that'd be made by the average blacksmith. "I'm Anima." She says. "But we should probably save the talking for later." She turned around and headed out the door. The last thing you notice is what seems to be a Mark of Nemesis on the back of her jacket, also known as the Symbol of the Vigilants of Erinye. Well, it appears that your new friend seems to be a trained assassin. Luckily, she doesn't seem to be after your head, so that's good; meaning that nobody particularly wants you dead. But now you probably have a hint on why she's around.
  2. @@Windbreaker You pull out your book and shoot a dancing flame at the bandit. You made it so wide and somewhat powerful that it managed to damage him more than you thought. The flame hits him square in the chest as he's knocked back a few, and he grunts in pain. There's a pretty significant burn mark on 20% of his body. "Urgh... why you little..." He raises his axe and charges at you. He actually DOES manage to get a good slice at you, and leave a little cut behind. The Bandit's really pissed now, as he's about to raise his axe and strike you again. But suddenly, the head of a spear pierces right through his heart, as a few drops of blood land on your face. The bandit drops dead, to reveal a Penumbran woman standing behind him. "You two okay?" Anima asks both Aria and the girl behind the counter. The girl nods and proceeds to run somewhere to safety. "This entire town is under attack. I'd suggest you stay out of harm's way for now," she says to Aria.
  3. @@Soullite The distress call definitely came from where you're headed. When you reach there, you see a Bandit with two swords pillaging someone's shop. He's about to do the sword thing on the shopkeeper. Maybe you can finally put those questionable weapons to use.
  4. @@Pinkamena Dianne Pie The bandit was none too happy with his demise. The spellbook's magical glyph suddenly shot out a huge glowing orb of light, which landed straight onto the bandit's chest, knocking him a few feet away. He then finally bit the dust and ceased to breathe.
  5. @@Midnight_Aurora Awww what a cute little wofi- OH MY GOD IT'S EATING MY ARMS OFF! That wolf does a good job of protecting children. The bandit wails in pain after a good, deep scratch to his leg. @@Ranger22 This time you DO manage to bludgeon the poor man. Looks like it's Hammer Time after all. @@Omar And that particular bandit appears to be the same one that Sylvana's pet Wolf is beating up. You pull out your trusty sunsword and throw away your cheeseburger, and attack the man. You stab him in the side before he could react to anything else. Time for the finishing blow, eh?
  6. @@Ranger22 , @@Pinkamena Dianne Pie It looks like it's M.C. Hammer Time! Er, minus the M.C. The attack misses, however it does seem to catch the Bandit off guard, having Christoph appear straight out of nowhere like that. He was a bit surprised, which gave the both of you a huge opportunity to smash him. @@Soullite Maybe that Sublime Liquor wasn't the best choice. In the distance, you can hear someone scream: "Someone, help! Please!"
  7. @ After being run over by fearful civilians, you quickly recover and attempt to attack the bandit. You manage to successfully slice his face, leaving a bloody scar running above his nose. "Agh, you bitch!" he shouts as he attacks you for real this time. His axe manages to leave a slight cut on your stomach, but nothing major.
  8. @@Pinkamena Dianne Pie "What the-!?" the Bandit shouts as you both tumble down onto the dirt. The children run away to safety, as well. The Bandit then pushes you off. "You little brat...!" He grabs his axe and attempts to attack you, but luckily for you he misses by a few inches. ((Enemy Perception Roll: 2)) Now is your chance to counterattack!
  9. @ The Bandit turns around. "And just who do you think you are, cupcake?" He puts on a smirk. He then swings his axe at you, and misses on purpose as some kind of warning. @@Pinkamena Dianne Pie The bandit ignores you and is about to bring down the axe. You might want to think very, very fast.
  10. @@Pinkamena Dianne Pie , @@Midnight_Aurora , @@Soullite , @@Ranger22 , @@Omar The City of Ithagor seems to be under attack by what appears to be Bandits. But not just any normal bandits, each of them seem to bear the Symbol of Mosthurn. What...? @@Windbreaker "Oh, yes, that would be the shop next do-" she was soon interrupted by a Bandit slamming down the door, with an axe in hand. "I'd suggest that you hand over all of your stuff before this axe starts craving blood!" @@supersonicfan91 Feel free to participate anytime, now! Because those bandits look mean.
  11. @@Windbreaker The girl at the counter greets you. "Hello, there. If you're looking for a bath, the men's locker room is to your left," she says. ---------- Time flows on for a good 10 minutes... until everyone can hear what sounds like the rumbling of horse hooves. It feels as if a band of people are coming to the city.
  12. @@Midnight_Aurora , @@Pinkamena Dianne Pie , @@Omar , @@Soullite After waiting for a few minutes, each and every one of you obtain the food and drinks that you ordered. They all look really good, especially coming from a pretty mediocre city. Guess it's time to chow down! But as well as that, it's time to notice that the tingling feelings are getting stronger.
  13. @@Midnight_Aurora , @@Soullite As you both arrive at the tavern and have a seat, waiters come to take your orders. (From the menu shown in Post #49) @@Windbreaker And with that, you go and do whatever you came here to do. @@Pinkamena Dianne Pie That little awkward showing got you more attention than it should've. Moreso the fact that a young Penumbran woman with black hair and clothing is looking at you, possibly wondering what the hell is going on. Though, a few seconds later she returns to eating her salad.
  14. @@Midnight_Aurora Upon reaching the Warden's place, the Warden himself was lodging on a chair, reading some kind of book. He closes it to look at you for a moment. "I'm guessin' you're the one deliverin' Deix's Necklace, huh? The one who stole it had a pretty good eye for jewelry..." he said. "A'ight." He placed a bag of Gold on the counter and collected the necklace.
  15. @@Windbreaker It appears that the public bathhouse is only a few blocks down. The city itself seems dirty, and not as modern as you would expect. There are Beggars, Artisans, Merchants, and even Performance players all over the streets. Quite an interesting place, indeed.
  16. @@Pinkamena Dianne Pie The waiter leaves to get the order to the cooks. It's most likely gonna take a few minutes or so for the seafood to show up. Some interesting notes those mages left behind contained things such as nifty spellcasting tricks, and one note that said if you use Mythical Prisms on magic weapons, they might upgrade, generating new spells to be used at your disposal. Though, this can only happen a total of 2 times per magic weapon, and each time it creates a spell that is the next Tier of the weapon's corresponding element. (Such as, a book with Fluorescence, when upgraded, will create Starlight, and then to Sacrament.) This effect only happens to Spellbooks and Wands, but fortunately that means you don't have to go out of your way to purchase new weapons in order to get better stuff. After that particular note... it sort of ends. You also notice that the book is missing a few pages. Whether it might be an old grimiore or not, someone decided that some of those notes must be kept secret. But who knows? Maybe you could find these pages sometime, they might teach you some cool magical tricks. Aaaaaand, cue the others.
  17. @@Pinkamena Dianne Pie The food definitely smells like food. There is also a menu in front of you. Then, the waiter comes up. "Yo, you must be new here. Did you come up with an order, yet?" he asks. To you, it might or might not be a hard decision, considering it includes meals that only a hefty lumberjack would wolf down. Oh well, just make sure not to waste your money on a Ridiculously Overpriced Golden Ice Cream.
  18. @@Midnight_Aurora The wing preening and the bathing seemed to take longer than it should have. But nontheless you're clean, and ready to head back out into the dirty canyon city. With nothing else to do, it might be a good idea to finish up your primary goal and maybe spend an hour at the local Cafe. @@Omar And that local cafe appears to be a few yards down the street, past a strange and somewhat desperate bookworm and a klutzy young woman whom just tripped over a brick. Next thing you know, someone might just trip over absolutely nothing because it's a running gag for some reason.
  19. @@Soullite It doesn't look like the city is having that much trouble currently. But you can still feel a slight chill go down your spine, as if something is going to happen in due time. @@Ranger22 Those few bandits might possibly be the last within the area, but there are surely more to pop up. With nobody left to kill, it would be a good idea to follow your original goal and arrive at Ithagor as soon as possible. Luckily, you're not too far from it.
  20. @@Midnight_Aurora To your luck, there seems to be a Public bath house somewhere down the street. Though, it's a bit ironic considering how dirty this city seems. You also looks around to see that Anima has disappeared, but that probably wouldn't be surprising considering how independent and secretive she seems.
  21. @@Midnight_Aurora , @@Soullite Within about 20 minutes or so, you all manage to reach the city with nobody harmed. The town looks pretty lively as it seems from a few distances away. The wind, at that moment, blew quite a strong breeze, enough to knock what seems to be a Grey Flower out of Anima's hair. Surprisingly enough she manages to catch it before it escaped entirely with her two fingers. "Damn wind..." she says as she places it back where it was. Well, it looks like the road trip is over for a while.
  22. @@Pinkamena Dianne Pie , @@Omar It won't be getting dark out for possibly another ten hours. Most likely the only things worth doing at this point are going somewhere for a meal. However, the both of you have an eerie feeling about something dangerous that might happen. Maybe it's the wind, maybe not.
