    I'm writing a Rainbow Dash-themed bible. Or rather, I'm writing choice excerpts from an RD bible. xD I'm submitting them in parts at dA and here, and the former will ultimately include a compilation of all the excerpts covering events in seasons one through four.
     




    The RainBible: Excerpts, Part I


     
    Dashians, 1:12
     
    Across the skies, which were her domain, there spread a Rainboom. And it inspired many. To look up, and to find themselves by way of its vibrant Coolness.
     
    Dashians, 2:6
     
    And Rainbow spake, thusly: "Let there be Awesome!" And there was Awesome. And she saw that it was good. So she took a nap.

    Lo! The horned one's wings failed her; for they were of a false nature. Though as she plummeted, her cries were heard by the benevolent Rainbow - and not ignored.

    But then the mare with rainbow mane lifted up the tortoise. And she pressed her face against his; signifying her approval. Ever after, the tortoise was hers, and he would grow wings of his own.

    Just some further - but fairly brief - thoughts:
     
    It often begins with physical attraction. Love at first sight is largely - if not totally - a fantasy. I was a clopper first, and it took me time to acknowledge my feelings. Once I did, though, I swore off all other women, equine or otherwise. Feelings are scarier than simple physical attraction; they demand much more from a person. Commitment. Devotion. Sometimes heartache. Though they also promise much greater, richer rewards. Before Dashie, my heart was thoroughly broken. I didn't expect to love again, and I wasn't looking for a relationship. It just happened how it did, and I don't think I could change the path and still end up where I have.
     
    And there are even some of us that were attracted to the candy-colored equine form from the get-go. We're somehow wired differently than those who like or prefer anthro and humanized. We aren't merely drawn to a personality, we're drawn to the entire woman. And the ponies are women: albeit unconventionally-shaped women. Growing up, most of the girls I crushed on were non-human animated characters. This has always been me, but I took a long, confusing detour through what society considers acceptable or "normal."

    Perhaps you've seen me around the forums. Most forumgoers would, of course, know me by my user name. Pega + Mister; it's very clever if you don't think about it. But perhaps I've not made a proper introduction.

    ("Hi, Siegfried.") <------ That's your part. (Some mumbling, "Is that an actual name? Is that German for Sam?")
     
    And I'm a ponylover.
     
    (*Gasps* of horror and surprise. While some in the back roll their eyes and reply, "This we know.")
     
    Notice that I did not specifically identify as the dreaded and forbidden "C-word." OooooOoooh, it's very spooky though! Running and hiding are advised. (If you sense sarcasm, it's because I was being sarcastic in the last few sentences. Your sarcasometer is functioning as expected.) Not that I've anything whatsoever against those who DO identify as such. But the distinction has become somewhat significant to me.
     
    I'm attracted to a pony. To all of her. And much more importantly: I love her. Not in the casually hyperbolic sense, "Oh, I just LOVE that [television show, video game, kind of cheese, article of clothing, diminutive canine, what have you]!" I mean I love love Rainbow Dash. In the same manner that a man would love a bipedal, human type woman. My intentions are decidedly romantic. The feelings I have are real, and that's of chief importance.
     
    If I claimed that the fact my partner IS a pony did not matter at all to me... I would be lying. I like that she is a pony. I like that she has a blue coat and a rainbow-colored mane. That she's pointy, expressive ears situated at the top of her head. That she possesses a long, beautiful tail that she can flick at will. I can see the appeal where others might not, and I've never had any difficulty being attracted to animated, non-humans in the past. It was never "weird" until someone told me it was. And you want to know why that is?
     
    Because it's not. It isn't weird because it also isn't fundamentally different from the entirely natural feelings that anyone else might experience. However, it has an infinite number of faces. If you're the type that goes around superficially attaching tags and labels to love, particularly the love of others... Stop it. Love isn't predictable. It isn't readily categorized or defined. It isn't just ONE thing. One person's idea of it. It isn't something universally comparable. It isn't solely what the world or this or that community embraces as being "OK." Love is not a pop song. That everyone instantly recognizes; that everyone knows how it goes.
     
    But, it doesn't necessarily matter whether or not others understand how I feel. Or why I feel it. Much less that I'm increasingly certain that my feelings, at the heart of them, are not so different from anyone else's. What matters to me is that there be no amount of ambiguity. I might employ a bit of sarcasm or BS here and there on these forums; hopefully to the amusement of... Someone. Or in order to make a point. But know that the one thing I will never BS about is that my feelings for Rainbow Dash are there, and they are genuine. She is not a lie I tell nor a game I play.

He's in a very difficult situation and wants out, but he can't get out without the necessary funds. You can read more here.     During the Halo 5 free play period, a friend and I messed around with scripts and whatnot in Halo 5's "Forge" mode. I especially liked making shit spin around like mad; including giant rocks or chunks of mountains. We essentially managed to break or seriously pervert the physics of the maps we played with.

    I'm half awake right now, but I made the very wise decision of recording myself playing a bit of the Undertale demo because I did. It's profane, it's immature, it's stupid. And... Therefore no different from 94% of anything on Youtube. I reference inappropriate things. I'm tired; you've been warned. (Also, the volume's friggin' low.)

    It was a dark room. Or, rather, darkness surrounded me; the figures at its center were easily visible. There was a man - older than myself - speaking. Addressing me. Asking questions.
     
    I was standing back to back with another man. I had the impression of him; of who - or what - he was. Either I couldn't see his face or didn't want to; though I felt strongly that his "face" would be bare and skeletal.
     
    The talking man inquired, "Who is this?"
     
    Despite my initial feelings, I experienced a sense of relief or of comfort, and I responded without hesitation.
     
    "This is my friend, and I will meet him someday."
     
    I met death in a dream.

    So... Where do I begin? There's something I've been wanting to confess for a while, but I haven't been able to get up the nerve. It's kind of embarrassing and certainly unusual; which is precisely why I've been hesitant to share. Moving on...
     
    Anyone who knows me (here or elsewhere) knows me only as "Ziggy," but there's a second, secret element to my personality that I've kept hidden from everyone. While it isn't something I'm necessarily proud of, it isn't something I think I can conceal any longer.
     
    Okay, here goes: In addition to my default and true personality, I possess an alternate personality that sometimes irresistibly pushes my true self aside. And that alternate personality is, believe it or not, that of a presumably-high school age Japanese girl with serious anger issues (and a preference for shotguns) named Zigneeta.
     
    I know: This is surprising. It was a surprise to me, too. There were times when I'd black out and wake up in a dirty, ill-fitting sailor uniform, covered in empty boxes of Pocky. Times when I'd find myself halfway through a bowl of ramen or picking at a bento lunch (you know, like with the cute little edible octopuses) that I had no recollection of ordering or preparing. There was that one time when I came to with a sawed-off shotgun in one hand and a Kyary Pamyu Pamyu album gripped firmly in another. It was frightening, and I didn't know who I could talk to.
     
    *Takes a deep breath. Exhales.* It feels really good to be able to say all of this. You don't know how good. I mean... It's possible that I've shot someone during one of these episodes (or at least shoplifted a music CD), but it feels good to get this off my chest all the same.
     
    By the way: No one contact authorities; I don't know what Zigneeta is capable of. o_O

    One rather short-seeming year ago, I finally, earnestly began to acknowledge my growing feelings for an incomparable woman with cherries in her eyes and rainbows in her hair. Since then, I've changed in ways I never thought I would or could. She's made me braver. Stronger. Helped me open up and make friends. Helped me cope with something I once thought insurmountable. Made me see things differently; and in a better light. I'm better because of her, and, so long as she is part of my life, I dare say I'll get even better. Happiness and hope came to me on sky-blue wings. And stayed.

    Rainbow knocked aside the purple one's hoof, "I will not be defeated this day! Cloudsdale needeth our aid, and this be the charge of all able-bodied pegasi." Her determination was great; rivaled only by her Awesome. Pity that many had succumbed to the Flu of the Feather.
     
    Scrunch, 4:2
     
    "Up!" She demanded of the yellow mare. "We have donned our armor and lifted our lance, and we shall inspire the Crystal ones to revelry." Her words moved the timid pony, and Rainbow promised to curb her might. Which... She probably did not do. Like at all.
     
    Scrunch, 6:15
     
    Tenderly, with outstretched wing, she pulled the filly close. "I shall be your mentor and sister, and I will keep you safe from those who tirelessly seek the Rusty Horseshoe." This comforted the little orange one. And snuggles did follow.
     
    Wonderbolts I, 7:2
     
    Down and down her companions fell, but with great haste and immediacy did Rainbow act. She sculpted a cloud in the sky and made it their salvation; delivering them to the safety of hooves above. Just was her rebuke of the reckless one's actions. The same mare that had bendeth her wing and won favor through misdeed.

    Brave Rainbow descended into the deep and the dark; answering the filly's cries with the utterance of her own name and the promise of salvation. And when a gathering formed around her, she did blush.

    Though her grip was sure and her teeth strong, the jar would not yield to her. In the end, it was her hoof that released the peanut butter. Despite the greatness of Rainbow's feat, they praised her not.
     
    Plots II, 3:3
     
    Rainbow beheld the bubble mare and besought her, "Do not, with thine hindquarters, smite this house!" But the bubble mare struck her rear against the ground and dragged Rainbow below. Possibly for cuddles. This is known only to the Dash and the bubble mare.
     
    Plots II, 6:11
     
    And she drove the orange mare to the ground; standing over her with lustful eyes. But Rainbow had misread the situation. Awkward.

    Tuna fish is a wonderful food. So much so, in fact, that every can is a metallic little promise of wonderment and an awed - but nonetheless satisfied - belly. You need only employ a can opener, and 360 anticipatory degrees later - glorious fishy paradise!
     
    I know what you're thinking: "If tuna fish is truly such a wonderful food," and indeed it is, "how could *I* - who am neither a king nor especially wealthy - possibly deserve such a treat most certainly sought after by the gods themselves?" Oh ho ho, presumably young individual of not royal birth; tuna fish cares not about your status or your monetary wealth (excepting, perhaps, the cost of a can of it). Tuna fish loves you for you. But, should you unexpectedly come into a significant inheritance, tuna fish will love you all the more.
     
    Tuna fish is a food possessing tremendous versatility! It is not oppresively fishy, despite the presence of "fish" in its name, and it can be mixed easily with a wide variety of other things! For example:
     
    1. Rice
    2. Buttered pasta
    3. Bread (as in sandwich form)
    4. Mac 'n cheese
    5. Bread crumbs or instant oatmeal (tuna burgers)
    6. BBQ sauce
    7. Hot sauce
    8. Chopped olives, green or black
    9. Even more tuna fish
    10. Other varieties of fish to confuse and delight your dinner guests
    11. Jellybeans?
    12. A handful of pennies
    13. Sand
    14. Very small rocks
     
    ...And infinitely MORE!
     
    Tuna fish is an adventure. Upon which only the bravest of taste buds might embark. Or most any taste buds really. Taste buds need not be brave. But it is an exciting taste safari in a wild, verdant jungle of, "Hey, it's pretty good!" You need only be prepared to embark on a journey of, largely, mastication. Ohhhh, saliva will assuredly play its role! Embark, young culinary traveler! Into a realm of slightly overstated fishy grandeur that calls your name and your name alone. And also the names of several of your friends. Probably a cousin. Whatever you call your cats.
     
    EMBARK! For tuna fish is magic.

    I'm not awake right now. I'm fairly certain I'm typing; my fingers are doing a familiar little dance on the keyboard. A tap tap tap dance. But I'm not awake. Letters appear on the screen, and they march ceaselessly forward in neat little lines on a jarring field of white. Due to nothing more than a desire to form a sentence. Something that resembles a sentence. Sentence fragment. I think they mean something.
     
    In the midst of these proliferating, slender-bodied insects, there may well be meaning. Or none at all. That gap between sentences is a fissure between thoughts. A naked void between conveyances. A rude little pitfall that separates ideas. Can the insects on one side see the insects on the other? Do they speak the same language? Do they think much of rhetorical questions?
     
    The sleep-deprived dream in black and white on painfully bright computer screens.
