Selene laughs cruelly. "Painless, she says!... P-painless..." She slowly trails off, her laugh going silent... and then turning into sniffles and sobs as she just collapses on her rear, her skin turning a miasma of ugly colors, like paint that's been overly mixed together, as she tries and fails to just blend in with the floor and disappear...

Selene suddenly twitches a bit as if she were slapped in the side. She stands up slowly, facing Scarlett as her skin turns blood-red. Her tail lashes around, the fan at the tip of her tail spread out wide. Her voice comes out with a tone of biting, hateful sarcasm. "Oh, you're sorry! Well, I suppose that makes this all alright, doesn't it?! Forget the fact that I never even asked to be here, or even on the damn BASE! No, EVERYTHING'S FIIIIIIINE, because some lady I DON'T EVEN KNOW, APOLOGIZED FOR THE FACT THAT I'M ABOUT TO BE BURNED ALIVE!!"

As the dozens of ponies in the gate room all start inevitably shouting and panicking, Selene just covers her ear-holes, her skin slowly turning into stripes of lime green and bright red as she curls up into a nervous, breaking-down ball of quivering, whimpering vashti. no no no no no...

Selene takes a deep breath... Inhaling through her mouth, and out her nose. She just sort of... lies down, seemingly calm and carefree. Meanwhile, in Selene's mind... oh god oh god oh god i'm gonna die somebody help please. No panicking. Gotta be strong, be happy and cute for everyone else. Maybe if I make them feel better, they can come up with a solution in time... ... hopefully... I'M PANICKING AGAIN SOMEBODY HELP PLEASE

You get, at the very least, a confused an incredulous look from Selene. She just sort of sits there, trying to process how exactly they're going to fly into a star, of all things, when she hadn't even known this to be a space ship. "... You... You're kidding, right?... I mean... our pilot can't be that horrible, right?..." "... Right?..."

The... thing, looks back at you, its tail swaying around as it slowly turns orange with a curious expression on its face. Huh? Why's she looking at me like that? Is there something on my face? The creature promptly starts rubbing at her face, again, like a cat.

Selene pauses and looks up at you, her skin immediately turning gray with the slightest tint of green, like mossy, chiseled stone. "... Okay, Scarlett." She sits down like a big cat next to Scarlett, crossing her front legs and yawning, her fangs folding back into the roof of her mouth, returning back to her cuter persona.

Suddenly, the vashti hiding against the wall flashes a bright, lime green, with stripes of red, as she is startled by the floating, polygonal robot. Selene hisses, backing away from you two quickly and hiding behind @@Ethan Sawyer, baring her serpentine, neurotoxin-laced fangs at the Spectre defensively.

As soon as you turn back to look at her, her skin changes into a pattern nearly identical with the room itself, leaving nothing but floating eyes, which soon wink out of existence when she closes them. You hear muffled footsteps coming from her as she approaches the gate room. I'm so cool!~ I'm being SOO good for these guys, I'm sure they'll be happy with how well I follow directions!~ Hehehe~

"Uh... Anywaayys... You said for everyone to come to the gateroom? And the gateroom is the big room with the stargate in it?" Selene's tail wags a bit as she looks at Lightning, the movement of the "fan" at the tip of her tail providing a pleasant breeze for Scarlett.

"S-sss... Star gate? But that wasn't a gate! And there weren't any stars! Why would you guys call it a stargate?~" She giggles. "You guys are funny!~ That was a lot more water than a puddle!~ I could have swum around in that, if it wasn't all weird and magicky!~" "Food!~" Selene's skin turns a bright, excited yellow, and her eyes turn the same color, looking a bit more golden, reflecting the light in a beautiful, crystalline way.

Selene smiles a bit, visibly looking more comfortable around you. "H-hi, Lightning! Hi, Scarlet!" She waves at the both of you, her tail swaying about as she gets up. "So... no more hiding? I'm kinda hungry, now..." She stretches, the bones in her back crackling as she sighs with relief.

(You're welcome! ) She takes a few deep breaths, before sighing quietly. Her skin is a bluish gray, now (like an Asari, for you ME fans) "O-okay... I had accidentally gotten pushed into a crowd onto this train... But before I could get out, the only exits closed! I had to wait around for a long time... But then, when we came out, everything was so... Shiny... I wandered around, and then... everything happened..." "There was... Fire, in the sky... everybody was screaming, running towards this... thing. It looked like a metal kiddie pool, but sideways. I just followed everyone else, too scared to think..."

"I-I... There was this screaming, and then the big ring had the water in it, and... and..." The poor little Vashti starts babbling and crying. She must have been in shock over what happened at Icarus base, and now she's so flustered she can't make a coherent sentence. You monster.

The vashti smiles and nods at you, turning a gentle, plant-like green, not like the green from earlier. "Hi! I'm Selene! Who are you?..." Her eyes go wide with adorable curiosity, her mouth making an "o" as she watches Scarlett with interest. At this point, her limbs hang idly in the air, not fighting back anymore.

The vashti's panic is briefly paused by a curious orange, staring at the new pony quizzically with a little coo. She barely even notices the big space marine pinning her to the ground with a gun to her head, as she just stares at you with a look of sheer "what?"

You get a good look at it, whatever it is. The thing's skin is constantly shifting, flashing zig-zags of green and yellow going across its skin as it flails in panic. The thing looks utterly terrified of you. It's about the same length of you, but combined with the tail, twice that. "No! Please, don't hurt me! I wasn't gonna do anything, I just wanna get off!" (If you've seen a Vashti before, you recognize this as one of them.)

The... thing, lets out a very equine scream as it darts away from where your pistol is pointing. You can see a flash of yellow, with a green stripe as its meaty, finned tail swishes into view as it flails around and tries to escape. The colors seem to be moving on its skin! Scarlett, you sense a feeling of panic and fear from somewhere on the ship.

You notice some movement in the engineering room. Something about half your height, but long... Definitely not mechanical, either. It moves fluidly around the edge of the room, like a cat crawling around. It's very obviously not fluffy, even though you can't quite see it clearly.
