...well, my grandmother passed away recently...and it would be nice to hear some words of comfort...it's been really hard on me and my dad...more so for him...

  I'm so very sorry that happened. My grandma passed away over 4 years ago so I know how it feels. It is very difficult and painful, but I promise that both of you will be okay. You, him and other family/friends should just all be there for each other. Even the greatest suffering will pass and joy will shine through once again.

  I am so sorry for your loss. It must be really hard on you and your dad. I can't really sympathize, because the closest person I've ever lost is my great grandmother, and she was 91, but I'm so sorry......
