The Nth Doctor

If you utterly despise them, why does it matter whether they get character development or not? They could write the most amazing episodes ever about them, and you would still hate it just because of your utter disdain for them judging by every post i have ever seen you make regarding them. It is not like anything they do with the characters is going to make you like them suddenly or want anything to do with them, so really it seems much simpler to just sit those episodes out in the future than to throw down a gauntlet that can never be accepted.

I despise them because they're never moved beyond "Irritating showpony" and "Dictator"

Starlight's gotten a little better, but they wasted S6's chance to show her becoming more fleshed-out and likeable, then have the gall to make her the hero of the finale, even though her last on-screen appearance put her back at square one.

Trixie, unfortunately, still hasn't taken Twilight (or Starlight's) friendships to heart and she's basically Rarity in her levels of "It's all about me and I don't care what I do to other people with my actions." If she could turn off her showmare persona when she's with her friends, she'd be a much better character.

Once the writers show her getting over that hurdle, then I'll tolerate them more.
