There we go, set up the used and cleaned up Nintendo Wii, gave it a nickname and updated it to the latest version (4.3E, released on September 7th, 2010 according to Wikipedia).
Unfortunately the batteries that came with the Wiimote were dead, so I had to steal the batteries from our cable TV remote during the process but I'm glad to have a fully updated Wii and surprised Nintendo still has the servers up after 10+ years. Now to get some games for it and hope the disc drive still functions and it recognizes my SD card. (though its probably an easy fix if it doesn't work, at least for the disc drive) Mario Kart Wii, Wii Sports, Xenoblade Chronicles, and various Wii bestsellers and hidden gems and GameCube bestsellers and hidden gems, here I come ^^

Having a Wii is the best! A while ago one was borrowed ... but I had fun as never with those games, thanks to that wii I could meet the great franchise of Zelda (being twilight princess my first game of zelda), others that I liked that console were mario tennis, '' super swing golf season 2 '' (who would say that golf could be fun? ), Calling and obviously all the '' just dance '' games available for the console!

@Berry-Bliss-Sundae Yeah, even despite mostly gaming on the PS3 back then, the Wii was always pretty great whenever I played it. I remember my classroom letting us play the Wii back in the day, and we'd always play either Mario Kart or Wii Sports!

I haven't played the Wii in years! I remember it being quite fun, though I have more memories of the GameCube. Those really were the days, I loved gaming so much.
You really had a Wii in the classroom? So lucky! The only thing we had (and that for just a couple of weeks) was some weird PC game compilation with various Pac-Man clones and Robin Hood shooting balloons.
