@, @@TheBreech,
"And we move quickly onto match three, Goldre versus Cosmo Shadesteel!"
"Cosmo Shadesteel and Golden Dreams, report to the first arena floor."
______________________________________________________________________________
Rail was no longer in his box seat. Instead he was walking about the hallways outside of the rings, seemingly aimlessly, with a bored expression and a cigarette in his mouth.

@@Umbreon, Standoff staggered with the relief of the shadows leaving, but steadied himself quickly. He walked up to Lite and looked down at her sadly. Then, his face hardened. "Forfeit this." He raised his hoof and brought it down hard on her throat, then took her head by the mane and tore it clean off. Tossing it to one side, he waved to the crowd.
(Sorry, Umby, but Standoff knows when to put on a show.)
"...Oh my god it was... So beautiful!" Topaz said in shock. "Blood and guts squirting everywhere! As if from a burst tomato! I'm sure any audience member that caught that head is going to cherish it for years to come!"
The ref gingerly made her way to the stage and looked at the bloody mess. "Eww! Who's going to clean all that up? It's not my job, is it?"
"Juri, can you please declare the winner?"
"Right!" The ref piped up and grabbed Standoff's hoof. "Lite Shade is down and will not be up by a ten count! The winner by death is STANDOFF!"
"You heard it right here, fans! Standoff is moving on to the Semi-Finals! And I must say, I'm really starting to like this pony!"
As a few tournament workers began removing the mess from the arena, Juri held her mic out to Standoff. "If you have anything to say, now would be a good time."
-
Holy fsjal. Of course you would have some sort of magic to neutralize a highly volatile chemical while still weathering somebody with both hands in your pain receptors and somehow commanding your attack magic through ALL OF THE ABOVE.
If this goes on, I'm going to have to fold due to sheer overpoweredness and refusal to take a hit.
The tournament committee is out to get her right now. So if this gets too bad, they may pull some BS to give you an unfair advantage or get her disqualified.
-
Hmm, how peculiar.
It seems that whenever I start learning a new DAW, my creative side seems to get a boost.
Maybe I should
piratebuy all the DAWs on the market and learn a new one when I can't write anything.Heh.

Pardon my interruption, but, is it possible that there may be a second (Or perhaps even third!) iteration of this game? I of course mean when this one is finished, otherwise it would be rather silly... It appears to have an open (enough ^^) background to have different tournaments! You could even have the champion return to maintain his/her title!
I have a character that I would KILL to have put into something like this!
I think that's a splendid Idea! I'd also like to say that this tournament may be full, but there's no limit to the number of spectators. If you want, you can show me your character now and he can be in the audience as long as he doesn't interrupt the fights.
-
@, @@Applejack25,
"Alright, fighters, You may begin!" The ref said, starting the second match.
"This is perfect!" An audience member said.
"Those two are so evenly matched, they'll be at it for hours!"
(As for all of you waiting, we're only having two fights at a time so I can focus more on each one. Sorry to make you wait.)
-
@@Applejack25, @,
"Midnight and Radioactive, please report to the second arena floor." The speaker said.
"According to the schedule, the fight you've been looking to see is starting on the second arena floor." Rail said to the purple suited, old Stallion. "It should start in a few minutes. So... What's your thoughts so far? Is he worth your time?"
"Only if he keeps on winning. I'm not stupid, I ain't putting out a penny until my boys are done running the numbers."
-
The ref glanced at both fighters. To her, it appeared as if nothing at all had happened since the fight had started. "Okay, you two can start fighting at any time now!" She said, "Action, You two!"
"This is REDICULOUS!" The audience complained.
"Start the fight, Standoff! I'm tired of waiting!"
-
Lite just simply rolled her eyes as she walked to the other side of the ring, ignoring the commotion that her opponent was causing. She just simply stared at her opponent.
"Cute. The round's only killer, but the first killed in this round... I let it up easy on Nightfall. But, don't think you're getting the same treatment, darling...", she called out, her usual smirk across her face.
"Boo!"
"SHUT HER UP, STANDOFF!"
"Kill her!"
The audience began a different chant. "Kill Lite Shade! Kill Lite Shade! Kill Lite Shade! KILL LITE SHADE!"
"Well, this is a tad creepy..." Topaz said. "It's almost like they've rehearsed this!"
The Blue Pegasus ref looked over both fighters. "Okay, on my signal... and... BEGIN!"
-
The audience seemed to react positively when Standoff walked on the stage.
"You got this Standoff!"
"Yeah, we're with you all the way!"
"KILL THAT BITCH, STANDOFF!"
They began to systematically chant his name. "Standoff! Standoff! STANDOFF! STANDOFF!"
@, A Griffon, a mule, and a particularly rough looking male unicorn walked beside Silver Storm's seat and stopped in front of him, blocking his view.
"Well, if it ain't the biggest loser of the tournament!" The griffon said. "As far as we're concerned, you should already be dead, and now, you're sitting in OUR seat. It ain't free to come here, kid, and we paid for our tickets! Get the hell off my seat, sleepy head!"
-
@,@, @, @@TheBreech, @@Umbreon, @,
(Sorry to interrupt, but we're having a time laps to the next day. You are all in the tournament lobby again.)
"Alright fans!" Topaz said with zeal. "We've finally gotten past the first rounds! It's eight down and seven to go as we move on to the second round of the Dark Tournament!"
"These fights had better be better than the first rounds!" an audience member demanded.
"Yeah! We came here to see someone die, not dropout!"
"Um... if it makes you feel any better, I'm pretty sure Roto's dead..."
The audience began throwing more trash into Topaz's booth... again.
"Standoff and Lite Shade, report to the first arena floor."

@@drawingpandapony, We're all waiting on you... If this keeps up we may have to let you go. Can you finish the fight you're in?
-
Okay, but when this last fight is over, we're having a "Time warp" strait to the next day, so get that done if it needs to be.
-
There are barely any rules. Threatening a ref is not one I would think would be important, unless someone threatened Topaz. Refs are as replaceable as fans, after all.
I wouldn't mind. It's interesting.
And could pretty much go anywhere. I could do a separate reality fanfic story, even... It would be quite fun! Now I need to finish writing my first fic, though >.>
Well, then. I suggest spicing things up a bit because we need to get the next round up. I already dislike this dragon king, no offense intended anypony, due to his use of foul play. IT SHOULD BE AGAINST THE RULES TO THREATEN A REF! There should also be a back-up incase a warrior goes insane and attacks the crowd.
I'm back now. Is everyone in the hotel maside from the last two fighters? We will be able to move on soon.

@ragestar Artemis suddenly teleported away from Crimson and flung more arrows at him. She also tried to quickly stab him with helios with her unicorn powers. "I have to finish this." she thought. Artemis tried flinging arrows at his chest trying to pierce his heart.
Crimson cursed and his horn glowed a bright red, as he teleported behind artemis and attmpted to kick her in the head with all his streangth but with his hoof extinuished as to not kill her, "please artemis, you've fought bravely but if you carry on any longer in this fight I'm gonna have to kill you! Please, let this knock you out, I DONT WANT TO KILL YOU!!!" Yelled crimson pleadingly.
(Finnish this up soon, please.)
"Alright fans, it's the last match up of the Perliminaries and it looks like it's about to wrap up!"
(ATTENTION EVERYONE: After this fight is over, we are going to skip into the next morning and continue round two from there. I will make another post to tell you all when the next rounds are starting.)

Swordpoint struggled violently against the force of Knightfall's whip. He tried to charge a spell, but found that he was drained of magic. Knightfall was directly in front of him. Swordpoint swept his back leg across the ground in an attempt to sweep Knightfall's legs out from under him.
"Now things are finally getting brutal!" Topaz projected. "Swordpoint and Rune Breaker are in an intense melee, and this can only end with a few broken bones!"
"I don't think I have the attention span to watch this kind of a fight," Rail said bored. He was sitting in the stadium arena among all the common fans.
"Rail, there you are!" Another well dressed pony said as he approached Rail. He was clearly past his prime, a wrinkled old stallion in a sick purple suit. "Just the pony I've been looking to see! What are you doing here with all these uncivilized creatures? You know you have box seats!"
"I enjoy it more with the fans." Rail said. "They don't pretend to know what will happen, it makes the fights more enjoyable."
"Heh, remind me to quote you on that when I'm rolling in green."
-
(When you are gone if the fights are finished [which ours is about to be over as we decided how to end it not wanting to drag on too much longer than anyone elses] should we go ahead and play out a night to recover? or just a short break? I want to check with you of course, I'm not sure how the next round will start and obviously we can't start the next round without you. So when we reach an and should we just puase time and wait for you to come back or what should we do?)
(Yeah, there is a night break between rounds as required by tournament rules. All the remaining contestants are staying in a fancy hotel near the stadium, where you will sleep after the rounds are over. I was hoping for Topaz to make a final announcement before you left the arena, but meh...)

"Silence! You foals, do you know not that it is completely unsportsmanlike to kill an opponent while they are unconscious? These scars and this blood should satisfy your enthusiasm!" Terrorite howled.
"Eight...Nine...Ten!" the ref yelled. "Silver's out! The winner is Goldre, er, Terrorite!"
The cloud moved.
"Medic! We need a medic!" Goldre yelled.
No medical attention seemed to come.
"Alright fans, that's six down and nine to go! It looks like Silver Storm is down by knock out and Goldre is moving to round two! We just have two more preliminary matches left!" Topaz said.
Swordpoint felt the claws dig into his stomach, but he swiftly rose into the air with a quick flap of his wings. He examined his lance, which had been charred. He thought for a moment before levitating it into the air and surrounding it with a golden glow. He then made the lance disappear. "If you will use such a vile weapon, then you will face my magic."
He lit his wings, and the ground beneath Knightfall quickly turned blue and began to spray large chunks of ice.
The whip shot forward with a crack wrapping a round Swordpoints lance and jerking it harmlessly to the side. The dark whip sizzled on the surface of the bright magic lance beginning to eat into it like an acid. "I've never had hoofs before and I've certainly never fought fair." Shifting his magic quickly he pulled the lash taunt, intending to clothesline Swordpoint. Knightfall charged forward taking the bolt full on. He actually screamed out in a pained rage as it charred the left side of his body and he struck out at Swordpoints chest with a clawed hoof.
Crimson grinned triumphantly, "gotch!!" Said crimson, as he let the whip fly out of his hands and towards his opponent, but unknown to artemis, crimson had anticipated a move like this and used his powers to condense a ball of fire at the end of the whip, and set it to explode on impact. Crimson grinned widely, "this may sting a little..." thought crimson, as he watched the end of the whip heading straight for artemis with anticipation.
@ragestar Artemis didn't know what to do. Then, suddenly she had a idea. She used her unicorn powers to tug the whip as hard as she could away from Crimson. "I really really hope this works!!!" She thought. She also sent more arrows with her unicorn powers to hit Crimson.
(To the four of you still fighting, I'm going camping on Wednesday (again) and I'll be back on Saturday. If I'm not online, you are free to play as the refs, (but not Topaz or Rail) I hope for the preliminaries to be done ASAP.)

I've already posted that Lite will just stay in the lobby until her next match occurs. It's just mainly waiting until someone interacts with her in the lobby or fight time.
@@Umbreon, we seem to be in agreement. On the subject, do you think the fight between us could be a little less short and violent? I'd like to see how Lite Shade would react if she wasn't the only pony in her head anymore...
I'd like to apologize to you three specifically because your matches ended like a week ago. I'm really sorry about how little I've been able to be on.

Standoff knew what to do. He hoofed it down the stairs, knocking over as many ponies as possible on the way down (a lot), and got into the ring. Not acknowledging Swordpoint, he located the ref and promptly punched her in the head, breaking the spell. Acting fast, he got out of the ring before the stunned mare got up.
"Huh?" The ref asked. "What happened? Where's Rune breaker?"
Topaz leaned over her announcer's box and searched the crowd. "He vanished?"
(From now on, I don't want any of you to change the plot to anything other than the tournament. AKA No no more dragon possessions.)
Cosmo sighed with relief. He lifted her with telekinesis out the ring and waited for her countdown. He half expected her to mimic his "surrender" when she tunneled up under him but she was sincere. With telepathy, Cosmo told her, "Thank you. I was worried one of us would end up dead from this. I know a specialist who can ensure none of your injuries affect your performance with your team, if you think you'll need it. I enjoyed this match Dreams, you're craftier than I anticipated." With that and a smirk, Cosmo waited for the ref, dogding trash the enraged audience threw at him. "Dreams was the only one I'll spare," Cosmo decides, "Everyone else will die."
"And the winner by an unfortunate dropout is Cosmo!" The ref announced.
The energy required for transorming between Terror Night and Golden Dreams finally caught up to Goldre. It gripped her like a steel vise and drained every last bit of energy she had stored. She collapsed, heartbeat fading.
"Start the countdown, ref!" somepony in the audience. "She's down!"
@Topaz
Satisfied with the cloud's destruction; Silver Storm landed back onto the ring breathing heavily. His wings were still snapped together and he was really exhausted from using so many hurricane hoofs. His legs wobbled as he took in several short breathes.
From there he saw Goldre returning to the ring as well. Hearing her apologize for her alter-ego made him smile."Heh.....Apology accepted......" Silver Storm said as he closed his eyes and lowered his head. He remained motion less as he slipped into unconsciousness while still standing up.
((Sorry to end it like this ,but I'm ready for our match to end. And yeah Silver Storm can be unconscious while standing up, he's that badass.))
"Okay, I'll start the Ten count!" The ref announced. "One! ...TWO!"
"Unbelievable, Silverstorm seems to have fallen unconscious while still standing!" Topaz said.
(Sorry for the slow replies, I have very little internet access where I am. The next rounds should start very soon.)

Don't worry; we'll work this thing out. Swordpoint might've fucked up just a tiiiiiiiiny bit... (translation=oh shit, why the fuck did I do that?)
But we'll figure this thing out.
Okay, I'm giving you another chance. But if you keep trying to save your opponents life in a death tournament, the committee will start getting creative with its rulings against you.

@, @@drawingpandapony, @,
(you two might want to remember to mention each other in your posts so you send notifications to your opponent. You know just as a reminder for them to reply... Also this is a minor detail but topaz said you should go to the third arena while Radioactive Tragedy left it but she fought in the fourth arena and Rune and Swordpoint were in the third and with what is going on it that ring you don't want to walk into it haha)
Rune's body quaked, he wasn't how much longer he could stand. He joints throbbed painfully, the world seemed to be in a fog and unfocused. His head ached like it was full of shifting nails, pure determination kept him standing. He planned to win this match still and win it right. He couldn't be the pony that got through on a fluke technicality, he had to show he was strong. And if Swordpoint lost in a way that wasn't his fault maybe he could still save that special somepony of his.
"So what say you?!" he yelled at the announcer's box. ""You encourage participants to finish downed opponents during the ten count, to insure victory, isn't that a modification? He wanted me out so he could win on his own grounds, I'm sure..." 'You are a smooth liar aren't you, my little inconvenience.' "... if not for your interruption I might not have gotten this opportunity. So do we get to continue this and shed some blood? Or would you deny the crowd a proper end to this fight?" He'd done his best to act strong and keep his voice steady well shouting but it was so much effort. He wasn't sure how well he had done. He was sure it had cracked at least a couple times.
"It's not my decision!" Topaz complained.
"Attention fighters." The speakers spoke again. "Upon further review, we will allow the fight between Swordpoint and Rune Breaker to continue." (Pass the word to swordpoint for me.)
"Okay fighters, take your stances please... And BEGIN!"

@,@@Fivefs,
(Swordpoint was disqualified, remember?)
Several audience members in the front rows were killed.
"Oh wow!" Topaz said, "Some of the audience seems to have been vaporized! That's the kind of audience participation you can only expect from the Dark Tournament!" Topaz leaned over her box and saw the ref cowering behind Rune Breaker. "Juri," She called, "We need you to call the winner of the fight!"
No responce.
"All the cute stallions are watching!"
The ref slowly stood up and picked up her microphone.
"Well we see where your motivation lies..."
The ref looked at Rune Breaker, then spoke into her microphone. "Well... as Swordpoint has been disqualified... THE WINNER BY DEFAULT IS RUNE BREAKER! Rune Breaker, do you want to say anything to the audience before you move on?"
She pin-pointed a few members of the audience, ponies she identified as high-energy points. Swiftly and secretly, she cause the air inside their noses to become irradiated. She did not look away as their high doses cause them to double over and vomit and cry blood as their bodies wasted away. "He is still a member of the tournament, and he is off-limits. I can still hear what happened in the other arena echoing of the walls, and I'm not about to risk this myself.
Mao looked at the grass. He was going to die. The thoughts of the other ponies still roaring in his mind. Instead of crying of whatever ponies normally did when they were dying, he started to laugh. First, it was barely noticeable, but it slowly grew into a laugh of insanity. "Count out or death! Hurry up then!"
"NINE! ...AND TEN!" The ref completed the countdown. "AND THE WINNER BY KNOCKOUT IS RADIOACTIVE TRAGEDY!" The ref offered his microphone to the winner. "Anything you want to say?"
@, @@drawingpandapony,
"Artemis Skyknight and Crimson Grinn, you are on deck for the third stadium ring. Please prepare to report as soon as Radioactive Tragedy is removed from the ring. You will be called shortly."

He gestured to a sign above his head that said 'RESTROOMS' and pointed down the hallway. "You seem to have taken our last conversation very literally." He said. "One should be always oblivious... Or is it aware? I can never remember." After speaking he put the cigarette back into his mouth. "There's something that's been bugging me.
