I'm curious, but does anyone here have a favorite 'comfort food'? Something that perks you up or brings back good memories from a time in your past? Been thinking about it a bit recently.
Mine? That would have to be a toasted cheese sandwich! (I suppose it could also be called grilled cheese). There were the occasional times as a child where I'd be home sick in bed and it became my sort of 'get well' food. The perfect combination to make me feel warm and cheery again, usually with a good movie as accompaniment.
Even today I find myself cooking a slice up whenever it's been one of 'those' days, though thankfully they're few and far between now.

Like i don't have energy -
My Nightmare Night has consisted of walking over a mile while carrying two 10 pound weights while listening to Heilung in the glorious Autumn weather. And for my reward, a bunch of peanut M&M's that I have in a big container. Gotta have candy on this day after all.
