Have I mentioned that I love English dubbed anime/Japanese songs? Especially when they are done really well?

Hai! Motteru kimi wa mita de sono YouTuber LeeandLie - San?
(I think I typed that correctly, who knows)?

I am familiar with LeeandLie. Great voice, don't care for most of her covers. 9 times out of 10, I like covers that are as true to the source translation as possible. (That dub of "Golden Time Lover" by Studio Yuraki? It's the only fandub that managed to correctly translate the original song and keep as much of the original lines as possible. Almost all other fandubs, including the one by LeeandLie, completely missed or omitted the lines about the Tower of Babel.) I only make an exception when the original Japanese song is too awkward to dub without making a bunch of changes anyways.
I am sure somewhere in her history, LeeandLie has made a great cover of a Japanese song. That's the awesome thing about fandubs for anime songs these days, there's a lot more competition. If you don't like someone's translation, then keep looking, and you'll probably find someone that did something better. Just like how Jonathan Young's version of "Stand Proud" is the most faithful translation I could find! He made the music more hard rock than the original, but the lyrics are there at least.
