She seriously bugs me as well. Usually I'm not bothered by characters that are similar. I like Tommy Vercetti for example, a convicted psychotic killer and drug-dealer, but Starlight can go to hell. I guess it depends on the story and morals being told, GTA was never meant to teach friendship lessons anyway. What's happening in mlp right now is like if Tommy got off scot free in the eyes of the law without having his conniving, backstabbing, two-bit thief lawyer Rosenberg. Scratch that, Twilight IS Rosenberg. "Starlight Glimmer is an innocent mare! All your evidence is circumstantial bullshit and you know it."

I never asserted that I don't care, you just don't understand that my question was never meant to invite response. I made my point beforehand, the writers are not putting effort into the world and its lore, they are actively ruining the show with this bullshit.

I know authors that have spent time working on their lore, defining what magic can do. It's not just "whatever the plot decides". If the writers don't care, why should I care?

Sure, the murderer is acting calm now, but they still killed people. They must face punishment, I don't care who they are. This show has Starlight, a pony who's committed numerous horrible crimes, getting off scot free, and all she had to say was "sowwy" and "I know". While other characters like Trixie and pretty much every minor antagonist gets enormous shit for the little that they've done. This is a rotten message to kids.

You think that getting away with murder is a good message? Not literally murder, you get the point. She also hasn't changed one bit, look at how she brainwashed the entire cast against their will.

Did I say she was perfect? No. I said she has a perfect life. She gets away with everything because of how pukingly special she is. That's the theme of the show, magic is friendship.

Twilight/Twiclone have unlimited talent, and endlessly perfect lives. I have never rooted for characters to fail this hard. The shit they get away with because of it, I don't even need to mention Starlight Sociopath.

All of the magic spell books mean nothing unless you are Twilight or her stupid copy. Fuck talent in this show, I already hate this concept in real life. It's not defined at all, there is no logic or structure when it comes to magic in this show. And yes, I mean logic when it comes to magic. I've read stories where it's written infinitely better. I don't care about magic at all in this show, it's all made up on the fly with no rules as to what you can and can't do with it. If the writers don't care, why should I care?

You're asking me why Twilight isn't always able to defeat the villain without help, and I already answered that. Her unlimited bullshit magic ends where the plot demands it. This isn't good writing. Like I said earlier, they could have had Twilight not be a total mary sue when it comes to power, and rely more on the strengths of others. "create a Sonic Rainboom like Rainbow Dash" See Starlight Glimmer, then come back and tell me I'm wrong. She can move and fly faster than Rainbow Dash.

It's not just that, they are endlessly better than everyone. The gap is absurdly large, and the only time Twilight's magic doesn't solve everything is because of some contrived reason for the story.

This show doesn't have any rules for magic, it was never thought through. Twilight and her little copy-cat can literally do everything with no limits, there are no rules in place because the writers just make it up as they go along. Don't even get me started on "stage magic". If I could improve the magic lore in any way, I would get rid of "special talent in magic itself bullshit" and "Twilight/Twiclone are endlessly better than everyone at magic." Instead of Twilight being absurdly overpowered beyond reason, she could use and combine different artifacts and potions for magic. We could rely more on the strengths of others.
