    She attacked them with magic, spent a whole year trying to get dirt on them for revenge, tried RUINING their lives by means of manipulating time. This is like forgiving someone who attempted murder because they failed to murder anyone.

    Discord still failed in the end, and the "MacGuffin" doesn't necessarily overpower you, it's like you said, it just solves everything. It could have just sucked the power out of him. Anyway, the show made it clear in this scene that Discord was powerless to stop Tirek, he couldn't just snap his fingers and win. The fact is, Starlight manipulated time for her own selfish desires, attempted to harm and ruin the mane six's lives. That alone is a huge deal, not counting all of the brainwashing and manipulation she's done in the past, or the entire year she spent holding a grudge and plotting revenge.

The fact is, Discord couldn't do anything against Tirek when he absorbed the magic from the pony population, he doesn't have limitless powers. This means that most of the ponies > discord. Are you seriously trying to defend that little sow?

    Compared to high tier characters like Frieza, he isn't even a quarter of a speck. The old King Piccolo is more of his range of power. Moving the sun/moon isn't that great of a feat when you break it down. They already float in space, and the sun couldn't possibly be the size of ours. Moving something the size of a billion Earths would effectively make Celestia invincible, and the show doesn't reflect that at all. Hell, even master Roshi destroyed the moon.

    I can see them adding wings to him as he gets older. Maybe dragon wings don't develop until later, maybe the type of dragon he is doesn't get wings until later. They could go any direction with that and it wouldn't bother me.

    Boast Busters, the first episode I watched of mlp. Right off the bat I liked Trixie, and didn't like the other characters at all, it took me a while to warm up to them. Not a very good first impression.
