Rainbow Dash, while being her "own person", is the type of female who is Alphaish, but really, seeking another to follow, suppourt, and in truth be the Shield for. She is a Defender Type. She is (mmo term) a "Tank". She is a Protector......we as Humans...HATE THIS PERSONA! Why?? Simple...they are self-less.... In our Society, our MODERN society, someone, ANYONE who is willing to bleed, to fight, to KILL..TO..die...is a martyr, and thus, someone who is above all of us. For we are SELFISH, we are tainted by the thought that WE matter more then ANYONE else. Rainbow Dash, is NOT like this. She IS willing to do ANYTHING for her friends. Can YOU say the same, of course you can't..that is why the hate. We hate self-less need to defend, to protect, to nurture and defend. WE HATE IT!..Because...we, well..we Envy it! My "opinion?" Let me put it this way, I own the Sound Track. At my Job (food service) we are allowed to plug our phones into a stereo to pump our jams. I have spent the last 10 days playing this Sound Track over the kitchen. Thats right, thats 80 hours of Rainbow Rocks. (my crewbies know I am a Brony, and do not judge considering i could snap each of them in half a dozen times) That being said, each of them, (10 human beings in total) have since come up to me in the past few weeks and asked "Where can i download these songs" or "whats this music from" or "...dude...you know, I ahm..I kinda am into MLP too.." You can NOT compare characters such as Lyra, Bonbon, or Derpy to Coco. Why Gusty, why?? Simple. Derp-da-Derp? oh...it isnt MANE FUCKING HATTEN...its PONYVILLE! Those three "back ground ponies" ( who have gotten fleshed out and REALLY fan loved in the movie Rainbow Rocks..watch it...liiiiiiiiive in Ponyville, are next door neighbors to the Mane6, we see DAILY in episodes, wandering around, buying apples, having conversations, BEING REAL CHARACTERS!) Coco= Cheese Sandwich, an after thought, a plot device, a MEMORY! Do not COMPARE, Lyra, or Derplishous, or even Mayor Mare to the flash int he pan that is "Fluttershy lite" ie Coco. You CAN LOVE HER, I am fine with that...shit, i respect that! Hell I loooooooooooooove Sonata Dusk, talk about a flash in the pan! I am NOT telling you Bronies who to like..the point of this is, Coco is hundreds of miles away, while Lyra or Mrs. Cakes, is DOWN THE FING STREET!...dO NOT COMPARE THEM! Celestia = a GOD Luna = a GOD Cadence = a GOD (of love) To compare these 3 to randome background and "lets get a new VA for this episode" money spending, is silly. Even DERPY is a REAL character, the fans protect her, love her, and NEED her in everything pony, human-persona movies, or otherwise, DHX knows this, why we see her in RR. But Coco?? It has to be past "random background Pony" affection, I do not buy that. There has to be something there, something that pours on the reviewers and fans alike, that drewl over her. Is it her innocence? Then why not just love fluttershy? Is it her professionalism? Then why not just love Rarity? Is it she is in a wrong place at a wrong time and forced to be a tool other then a solo being? Then why not love Sonata Dusk? I am NOT hating on Coco, shes cute, i get that, but what i DO NOT GET, is why she is ALL OVER, my Tumblr and the interwebs as if shes the best thing since sliced bread. But unlike Vinyl, the Derp, and Octy, she has ONE episode. 3-lines of dialogue and is barren and empty as a character. Derpy has the hype of "oh shit she is a retard", Oct has the "oh wow a silent type who is ment to be born of focus on her prof" and DJ-Pon3 is "the common music gen", Coco =....wut?

While i posted this post to begin with, i hate to bump it, but i have to say this. "Air headed" or "Follower" or even "Mindless drone" doesnt = free pass on the level of evil. Evil is a mindset, it can be "I WILL OWN THE WORLD" or all the way down to "...I really don't want to dissapoint :insert character here:...i will do anything to please :insert character here:". You can rank Sonata, wherever you will in this chart, but the reality is, she IS, evil! And you know what?!? THATS OK!! Evil doesnt mean, you can not like that character. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Zira, from Lion King 2, and she is beyond evil/misunderstood/mother in agony missing her mate. Sonata Dusk IS a follower, she IS a corrupted soul, she IS born to do bad, based on what her persona is, A FUCKING SIREN. A siren= i will allure you to me, to suckle upoun your very LIFE BLOOD/ OR SOUL, because she is cute, she has solid one-liners, doesnt make her any less EVIL. That all being said, she is just as evil as Rarity, or Applejack, or even Fluttershy, she is filling her role..and for that, i have SOOOOOO orderd a shirt and sticker (wish there was a poster of her) from Redbubble.com, Sonata is the best Villianess (depth wise) since Gilda....GIVE ME GILDA BACK YOU FUCKERS AT DHX!

I don't like the head cannon of her being a Element of Magic. I would say "Element of Unity", if its her being bad or her being good, Shimmey always seems to be bringing the girls together. "Your never going to bring me down...YOUR NEVER GOING TO BREAK THIS PART OF ME!"

So with RR going to DVD in a few days, and being a huge Fanfiction reader that I am, i can not help but notice the massive suppourt for this Villianess. I would ask, why, but I think I know why. Lets look at the air-head, would be valley girl for a sec for a deeper digging into what is making hundreds of Bronies wish they had a Taco-tuesday in there lives. Personal opinion, I think we all know, or knew, someone exactly like her. The follower, the tag along, the kick stand and the breezy type. Some might say she isnt a "bad girl" villian like say shimmey was, or Aria is. Some might say shes just stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time, attracted too her blank eyed view on whats really going on around her. I can't give her that easy scape goat. And I LOVE Sonata. Next to Gilda she is my fav "villian" of MLP. That being said, the girls evil, period. She is just a differnt kind of evil, then her two Sisters. She is a Naive evil, she is doing it because its fun, because she IS that follower. All you need to confirm this (again in my opinion) is the scene with the three of them circeling Shimmey, and her line and facial expression of "Too bad...So sad!". With those words in that tone and her posture at the time, shes almost like a snake cornering a mouse. I love her, I read every fic about her I can find, and if i had ANY skill in rational thought and the ability to write, i would ship her and an EQ Gilda (BTW!! WTF why is there no Gilda = School bully character!! You freaking put the Diamond dogs in the damn film...COME ON!).

:Taps chin in thought: Well in EQgirls, I would say Luna, before her slight changes in apperance in RR, she was kinda chubby, i like that. But if we are going off RR, then i TOTALLY say Trixie in her Show Dress, that classic disney princess type gown, simple, form fitting and blooming around the hips and rear is just so, femine, :Drewl:. But to compare both films at the same time, no doubt its Shimmey, she ROCKS those hips with confidence in her walk, what straight male can NOT look at that and go "yooooooooooooooooo!"

My thoughts on Bra are really few. Having watched MLP, in all its Gens since 1989, I just can not get a grasp around the idea of any of the Mane character, in this gens case, the Mane6, as being Straight. I don't know, :shrug: but I look at him and Twilights interactions as a Nerd getting affection for the first time outside of her realm of comfort. Kinda like when some book worm at your school falls, and a jock helps her up, shes not going to wash that had for a week. In short, Twilights immature in the ways of romance, and thusly more shipping with Rarity is required!! STAT! But Brad? Fuck Brad!

I hate NOTHING about this film. (fanboy) Every film needs a "plot device", thankfully with MLP to get that plot, all we need is one of the girls to face her flank at the camera...eh..eh?!?! Daaaaaaaw! :drum roll:

Worth watching? WORTH WATCHING?! Film of the year for me, and ive seen 20 differnt films in the theater. (I really liked, all you need is Kill, or as we know it, edge of Tomorrow, as well) The single greatst animated scene (next to Zira throwing herself off the cliff in defiance at the end of Lion king 2) is in this movie, it was enough for Sunny to fully replace Twiley in my head-cannon. "Your never gonna bring me down...YOUR NEVER GOING TO BREAK THIS PART OF ME!" Watch this film, rip it, dl it, buy it on the 28th, just see it, period. Then listen to the single best sound track in an animated film, since Aladdin, about 300 times, and call me in the morning ^.^

The reality is, this union of Lyra and Bonbon is a nice touch in this film. The simple FACT they are in a BAND together (ie the union of multiple factions becoming one) wasnt enough, you have them so close to the ultimate human expression of fondness, IE A FUCKING KISS (we are talking milimeters people)...you know what..thats enough for me. No I DO NOT, need DHX showing an episode of two cartoon ponies licking each others neather regions to express that they, as a company have read our fan fiction, seen our fan art and are CATERING TO FUCKING US....they agree witht his, and are letting us fucking see it in DIGITAL CINEMA.. So as a new Brony to THIS forum, I wanted to bring up a conversation based aroud my ring of Rpers/Bronies/Pegasisters that inhabit MN Stpaul USA.. "Rarity is the height of what a female is ment to be" Now bare with me with that orignal statement, i know modern standards will BAWK at such a thing, a female who loves dresses, design, and giving to others. I get it, today Women are ment to "be as much a man as a man was in past society...."....sure, ok whatever. But frankly, no man can see the beauty in a stich, no man smile at the pattern of flowers in a garden, no man can know what it means ot bare a pup in there belly to full term. So here is the question. Rarity Belle, the femme of fashion, of high society, of drama and of sniff nosed muzzle in the air. She who is the Mare of the OLD SCHOOL, how doe she resign in the societ of the modern age. You know, the female who wears a size 0, who wanders in belly tanks and says thinigs like "sup girl" or "bitchs please", is Rarity a hallmark of old school......OR.....the resign...of what female hood..is ment to be?!?! These are the questions..ima Brony, not a Pegasister...i would, envy the insist of those who are born of the female femdom, please respond.

Ok, I have to post this, and frankly i am sure its been discussed to death but...its too emotional for me not to want to draw attention to this. This single sung line, towards the end of the film "Rainbow Rocks" hissed between the lips of none other then Sunset Shimmer...made me tremble. And I do NOT mean the "emotional feels" of the modern internet generation, i mean to my fucking CORE. I have lived my life by these words, since like age 15, and at the adult years of 30 winters I still live by this ideal, that nothing can push me down save for myself, that NOTHING can touch me if i don't let it. And too hear this, to hear this screamed in defiance, in a sing manner, but still, to foes from the voice and beat of this films atmosphere, well...i cryed. Thats right!!! I broke into tears...judge all you want haters, its fine. Go ahead... The point of this thread is thus. This moment in the film, sold it for me. It changed EVERYTHING in my minds eye i thought about Sunset, it changed my entire view on what the current gen of MLP was, and it made me feel a warmth to every cell of my body. I have known since i was a Filly that music has a deep touching on the human soul, that its the speaking of our minds, our arts, and our bodies all bound to one voice, that is music. But untill this line was spoken to my ears, sung with such defiance, such passion..i broke. I have not shed a tear since my Grandmothers death nearly 10 years ago, and this let the flood gates loose. This film is amazing, ive payed to see it 5 times, and watched it online 10 more times, i suppourt it, i offer it to anyone who isnt a Brony, who "lol pony fucking faggots" or whatever the jerks of this world wish to call us, WATCH THIS FILM. Sunset has changed in my very visage, from a bad girl gone to darkness, to rebirth, to ackward teen, to..well..shes replaced Twilight for me in the mane6..give us a third film, give it now, and let Shimmer..shine...thank you Hasbro, thank you DHX, thank you ANYONE who has worked on this film. At this for this male human being, some random number int his world of billions, you have touched me. And given me, the view on life, in mirror image i have always born...thank you. Sunset, while your not my Waifu, I would KILL to RP a character such as you at my weekly D&d ring.....in fact...:begins scribbling notes: WATCH THIS MOVIE! Really, its just a free thread to discuss this concept. Can these two ACTUALLY be put together by Hasbro? Is cheek to cheek, lips a meer inch apart, enough to warrent a relationship? Is Hasbro listening to the community, or drinking there own Cool-aid? Are we seeing what we want to see? And omg! Derpy is her own band lead!!!!....wait.. These are the questions people!

After the last film, Rainbow Rocks...is starting to have Sunset Shimmer rise on his Waifu chart? To the point of wanting her to replace Twilight??? OK! Before the flames! Twilight is a PRINCESS now! Does the really "belong" in a group of "lesser" ponies? Think of it this way, with Twilight as a Princess (IE royal leader) the remane5 are now "knights of the round pony table". Twilight has no real place in the field any more, she is ment to lead from afare, to protect the ideals of FRIENDSHIP, not enforce it. Wouldnt Sunset Shimmer, fill the role of sub leader, and enforcer as say the new Element of Harmony "unity", in place of Twilight? I am not saying, put Twiley in the background, ala Luna or Sun-butt, but she really shouldnt be "fighting on the front line" anymore, you know? I am sorry, but Sunset, had me squeeeing (manly style) through out the entire film..she is sooooooo, close to passing Rarity as best Pony (ok..not that close).
