So, here I am, just jammin' out to some Sponge at my computer and I check out a Skype group I'm in to see my friend @FadedSkies talking about this Equestria Girl who was actually pretty. My first thought was "An EQG that doesn't look like it's straight outta Planet 9? Dis fool be trippin' " but when I saw the character herself, I was actually pleasantly surprised.

 

 

Seriously, she's kinda cute. Not quite waifu material, but she's pretty gr8.

 

I don't know anything about her other than A.) She's not Rarity and B.) She's got a great character design for an EQG.

 

Oh, and C.) She's going to be in the upcoming Rainbow Rocks film as a member of the Dazzlings

I'm glad to be apart of this fan club! Sonata is actually and currently my favourite looking Equestria Girl, I think she looks very cute and especially for a villain! We haven't seen much of her yet since Rainbow Rocks hasn't even released yet but I'm very excited how she will act in the movie. She's got a fan!

Probably because she has a bit of a '90s, left of the dial feel to her One of the reasons I like her design so much, since I'm absolutely obsessed with '90s culture, namely the videogames and the music

Actually you really get close to one of the reasons Sonata sticks out. She fits the average girl image (at least in the new preview that they showed) and is reminiscent of some of my female friends in high school.

 

Also, looking at her reaction shots ... she seems a bit chill compared to Aria and Adiago. Check the gif below - You have to click it though.

 

 

Her features, even in 'evil' mode are soft. She almost reminds me off a Coco Pommel who may have hung out with the wrong friends.

One of my hopes for the movie now revolves around Dusk. I want them to shake up the whole redeemed v banished answer by having one of the Dazzlings have a change of heart, and the other two defeated and not redeemed.

I actually have been thinking of something similar. She turns good, while the other two remain bad.

 

Seeing as how her face often differs greatly from the other two when they're all three in a shot, I think that it's a real possibility. While the other 2 look a bit menacing and evil, she's always got a bit of a friendly look on her face - a bit cheerful and ditzy, to look even deeper into it.

 

Like, here for example:

 

Sonata is all like "wassup"

 

I'm stoked to see her on the screen Leaves me wondering what they're going to do with her...is she going to be redeemed? Is she going to stay evil? It looks like it's a 50/50 split here
