    It might be rhetorical, the MLP universe has many similarities with our universe.

    It is debatable, power comes from passion and Rarity is full of passion, mostly for fashion, when she was corrupted and became Nightmare Rarity all that passion was redirected from fashion to power, she became unstoppable, no one was powerful enough to stop her.

    Going to Ponyville was the beginning of Twilight's path to becoming the princess of friendship, I think she knew what she was doing.

    Celestia doesn't do anything in the show because it is up to the mane 6 to save the day, Luna was a villain, has 2 episodes of her own and she helped the cutie mark crusaders in their dreams, of course they gonna like Luna over Celestia since she played a bigger role in the show.

    Rarity created something beautiful she created something ugly, the objective was to do better than Rarity not to humiliate her so she failed to prove herself.

    She does use magic no doubt about it but she did lie about ursa minor to gain popularity, that counts as a trick and in the other episode she did use a powerful amulet which also counts as a trick because she did not earned that power she just payed gold for it, thats why she is associated with the word trick, not to mention she failed to create something beautiful as Rarity did so all that bragging about how she can do anything better was a also a lie and lying is associated with tricking.

    Yeah but after that she abused them, just because she got one right doesn't mean what she did next needs to be ignored, she failed to do what she bragged so much.

    Trixie does not impress me simply because she said what anypony can do she can do it better but she did horrible things to them instead of doing what they did better.

    A spin-off that could work, all we need is a title, how about "Spike and Big Macintosh adventures", the title might need more work.

    The reason i believe is pure hatred is because they always tell lies about her and they ASSUME she would do immoral things. I don't think i will ever understand why anyone would do this.

    I hear negative remarks all the time : she is not generous, she is shallow, she is selfish, she is stereotype, she would marry some one for their money, can it get any worse than this ? Basically people always say her personality is awful and she doesn't know anything about her element and i don't understand why so much hostility.

    You just compared 2 different things, the hate received by one of the heroes of the show and the hate received by a bully who keeps torturing the CMC, i guess your whole point was eclipsed by something very illogical.
