      Unfortunately, it does. It's not 'always on', but it does need to connect once a day, so it's about the same.

      That is only if you don't install on the drive, why else would they stick a 500gb drive on it? The reason it has to connect to internet is for the giant cloud storage they are putting it on when you want a game.
