Shattered Mindscape
It's April
And as the rain falls, the gloom rises
Nothing, does it wash away
And you lay alone
Lost in the torture chamber that is your own head.
You struggle against the chains
Trying to escape the cycle of misery
But you realize...
You locked yourself inside
And you have the key...
Why does the key not work?
Counting the days in captivity
Thoughts of escape leave you
You question if the key is even to the cell.
And you forget that why you're in the Hellish Alcatraz...
Is because you're the only one who thinks you actually deserve it

Yeah, it just came to me, so I wrote it down. I find it relatable too. I think it is for a lot of people. We've all had those times where we get lost in our heads and make problems for ourselves when there are none, yknow?
Sad how long it took me to figure that out... Me 2 years ago would've loved this kind of advice.
