There's a rumour going around that Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon will be for the Nintendo Switch. I hope this isnt true as I DONT wanna buy a new console just so I can play the game
(...and no offense to those who like the Nintendo switch, but I think it's an ugly console
)

Well thank Arceus I don't have to buy a whole nother console!! Think my 3ds ate up an entire paycheck! I can't keep chucking money on new doodads!
But I'll settle this once and for all. The reason the "Ultra Beasts" don't seem like pokemon is because they aren't! They're straight up aliens! ...well, I know pokemon like Clefairy, Deoxys, Lunatone & Solrock actually are cannonically from outer space, but... like, these are Interdimensional Aliens! Like, more of what our world would call aliens rather than foreign species that have become acclimated to earth and become more native as the generations reproduced.
Besides Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon being the most uncreative names ever... Have to say I still feel like a redoing of the same recent version seems like a cheap shot that couldn't possibly change the story enough to warrant more of my money when I could just keep on playing with my beloved pokemon in the older Moon. Think the last time that worked was Emerald where notable chunks of new content were added, not to mention both villain teams' plots happening simultaneously.
Mind you, I skipped out on Black & White2 and Omega & Alpha since it seemed like the only changes would be a few more minutes of npcs giving you a different lore spiel. Though... they did add whole new gym leaders in BW2... and I severely regret having missed out on Roxy. We haven't had a Poison leader in ages!
Think a Time Skip is almost garunteed. I mean, this game had us building the League so it only follows that we'd see the islands getting more organized now? Though... think that's what got most people... we've come to expect a sort of "go here, fight that fellow" sort of thing. The gyms gave us a sense of puzzle-solving depth, but I think Moon took a turn I rather much appreciated! It was more of an actual adventure! You weren't just collecting badges but exploring the wild islands & proving yourself to actual trials! Buuuut, think y'all know I just hate competition, less a focus on actual battling, the better, iffen ya ask me.
Oh... and yes... We've never had legendary pokemon get corrupted or fused before. That's totally a new, edgy way to set a pokemon storyline that we've haven't beaten to death by now... Actually, what am I talking about? That managed to all happen in the sequel games I somehow missed!

As for me, I've already gone through 5 DS's
(mostly due to rage-quitting
yes, I had my moments
)
Of course they arent pokemon. I mean, just take a look at buzzwole. That thing looks like it belongs in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure or some other type of anime for that matter.
So all in all, there could be more Ultra Beasts in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon than just the current ones. Surely there's one leading them, right!?
"Besides Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon being the most uncreative names ever"
Well duh
...but that's what you'd expect, right!? I mean, Pokemon have made remakes with just about every game there is (with the exception of Diamond and Pearl, but that was originally made for the DS anyway...)
Well that's what I did when Poekmon Platinum came out. I kept playing on my Diamond version because I felt it wasnt worth buying (...and playing) Platinum. I did play it on my R4 a few years later however
The problem with pokemon emerald was Team Magma was more heavily involved than Team Aqua was. If I can re-call, you get to fight Maxie THREE times and Archie once, which is a real shame as I would've loved to fight Archie more in that game. He was a really interesting guy
(...and yes, I never played Pokemon Sapphire. I had Pokemon Ruby and Emerald at that time)
Wait...you never played Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire???
Well, to be fair...Pokemon Black and White 2 was...'eh', to say the least
the 5th generation IMO was a hit and miss...
(there was VERY little involvement with Neo Team Plasma and nowhere near enough conflict between the old Team Plasma and the new one. Overall, it was pretty dissapointing)
Well yes, the last poison type gym leader was Koga / Janine back in the game boy color days...
You know, I just had a vision of a possible time-skip where Po Town is even more run-down than it already is and Ghost Type pokemon start haunting the town
To me, it's not a PROPER pokemon game if there's no gyms and when you consider the development of the Alolan Pokemon Leauge, they'd HAVE to be gyms in the new Pkmn games...
I dunno...I for one DIDNT like the fact that it didnt have ANY gyms in Pokemon Sun and Moon. It felt kinda 'empty', in a way...
When it comes to the pokemon games, the battles add to the drama. Take the fights against the evil teams. You are trying to thward their evil plans and if you fail, that region is doomed...
The story / relation with the Aether Foundation and Team Skull was amazing and I'd love them to expand more on that
(...and possibly an "evil" version of the Aether Foundation run by this guy:
"We've never had legendary pokemon get corrupted or fused before"
Uhh...hello, what about Kyurem!? O~o It's fused with Reshiram and Zekrom to make Black / White Kyurem
