    I'm thinking about having a Japanese Fire Symbol as a Cutie mark, but I dunno if that's a good idea :adorkable:

       I forget where I heard it from, but I once heard some oc reviewer talk about staying away from Kanji as a cutie mark. For one, ain't that basically like just having the word "Fire" on your flank? Second, that's specifically the letters from a certain culture that by rights oughten't appear in whatever world you put your OC into. It's like having your Inventor OC come up with the same, exact patent plans as a famous human inventor. Like, sure, its possible everything aligns just right again in an entirely different dimension, but it seems suspect.

       Me, it kind of just seems like literally labeling your character. That's not so much a symbol as a word.

        I mean, I've done that, but that was a name plate welded onto the flank of a cyborg pony but... I digress!

      It's a pretty kanji.
      Though, in english it's spelled either 'hi' or 'ho'

      So I wouldn't recommend having 'ho' stamped on ya butt :V
