Out of all the OCs I made on pony town, I think my ghost rider OC is the best one I've ever made. ^^  I did not think it was possible to make a skull on pony town, let alone it was possible to cover up the ears and the horn.  what is a really nice touch is that I can change the color of the magic to make it look like he's on fire. 

I tell ya, this was starting to eat into my sanity. I just had to make one. I tried a couple of times in the past and I failed. since this was the 50th anniversary of ghost rider and he is my favourite super-hero, I buckled down and made sure everything was perfect. I've seen a couple of ghost riders on pony town and I got an idea on how I should make the flame for my ghost rider. I think I really knocked it out of the park. it's simple, but it looks really good. a couple of weeks ago, there was a floater that used a mask to create the "teeth" for his OC. 

this was the final piece of the puzzle. I used that to make the mouth for my OC and it looks fantastic. I'm just happy I made this from the ground up. 

I dont mean to brag, but I think I made the best looking ghost rider on pony town, and that makes me happy 

hey guys ^^ real quick, I just wanna ask you a question bout generation 5: which design do YOU prefer and what should be the main design for generation 5? 

Well, I just noticed something.  2024 is the 70th anniversary of godzilla, and they've just announced there will be a sequel to Godzilla VS Kong. I have a feeling it will be released in 2024 to honour the 70th anniversary of the Big G. Okay, so they have mentioned the working title for this movie will be 'Son Of Kong' and it looks like it's gonna be another movie centered around Kong, but...I think they should stick with the big G. (if anything, Kong had A LOT more screen-time than godzilla in GvK. heh, way to steal the spot-light ) I think they should really take the time to develop this movie. that's what they did with GvK, and it had some of the best fight scenes in the entire franchise. (would be nice if Toho made another godzilla movie to celebrate his 70th anniversary. I hope they come up with something special. who is he gonna go up against? only time will tell. I still think it's gonna be mecha King ghidorah) 

Speaking of Godzilla, my SH MonsterArts Godzilla (2021) has arrived. yeah, it came in almost a week ago, but havent had the opportunity to go and pick it up because our fridge broke...again  ...and it was my sisters birthday last weekend.  

it looks FANTASTIC!!!  I was genuinely surprised by how small it is and the amount of detail is unlike anything I've seen on a NECA figure. For $120, that was money well spent / it was worth it and I'm happy to say that it is the first SH MonsterArts I have in my collection.  I was originally gonna open it and test out its articulation, but now...I think I'm gonna keep it in the box.  I REALLY like this figure. it looks SO much better in the flesh. the one I got is PERFECT. there is NO defects. I'm REALLY happy bout that.  will I get the event exclusive??? maybe.  I'm pretty happy with what I got.  

After all these years, searching on youtube, I've found it!!! 

IMO, this is WAY better than the regular version. in OOT, this only plays when you play song of storms in the windmill hut for the first time as a kid and this plays when the guy at the laundry pool gets angry in majora's mask

the last time I had Jollibee was YEARS ago when we went to the phillipines. okay, so my uncle told me it's not exactly the same as how they cook it in the phillipines, but it's similar. heh, I cant wait to try it and see how it stacks up to the original.  (even after all these years, I still remember what it tastes like. it's SO GOOD!!! ^^ makes me question WHY there ISNT a Jollibee here in Australia. I tell ya, they'd give KFC and Red Rooster a run for their money) man, just thinking bout jollibee makes me hungry

Hey every-pony  ^^ how are my cuddly pony friends doing today? :3 

Well, I had a pretty good day today.  ^^ watched a couple of episodes of forged in fire with my dad. It’s REALLY entertaining. We almost watch it every night. We are currently watching season 2 / some of the episodes we missed. I failed to record the first 6 episodes of season 2. We’re watching it on SBSonDemand. Unfortunately, it has some adverts. Luckily, there’s only 2 episodes left. Once we get up to season 2 episode 7, we’ll be able to watch it without ad-breaks. But yeah, we started watching forged in fire almost a year ago and it just so happens to be the only thing we watch on TV. It has effectively become the new ‘Mythbusters’. For those of you who havent seen it, there are four bladesmiths that are competing for the title of Forged in Fire champion / $10,000 and they have to made a knife using the materials that have been provided. at the end of each round, one bladesmith is eliminated from the competition. Those who make it to the final round will have 5 days to create an iconic weapon from history (the thing I love bout this show is that it goes into detail how the weapon was used) and they put them through a series of test to determine who is the Forged in Fire champion and I tell ya, some of these tests are BRUTAL!!! (Especially the antler chop. MAN, when you look at it, you’d think: ohh, it’ll be able to blow past it. TRUST ME, those things will chew a blade and spit it back out) it is really fun to watch. If you haven’t seen it, I highly suggest you go and watch. It’s funny how my dad stumbled upon it while he was flicking through the channels on FOXTEL and it’s become the ONLY thing we watch on television. I aint complaining. I am a HUGE fan of ancient history / anything that is medieval, but most importantly...

 (sorry, I had to. I couldnt resist.) 
 

Other than that, I just received a text message that my SH MonsterArts Godzilla has arrived. That was quick. The guy told me it’d be coming in within the next week or so. I can’t wait to test out its articulation. For the price, it’s not bad. (it's $100.) Like I said in my previous post, I wanted to get something from the movie and I wanna get my hands on an SH MonsterArts.  Unfortunately, the other two (Kong and Mechagodzilla) have some QC issues... 

This was surprise you, but I have not seen Godzilla 2014 (I’ve only seen parts of it on youtube) and I’ve seen KOTM…once. I plan to watch the rest of the monsterverse sometime this week, if not, the next. It’ll be interesting to see how it stacks up to the heisei / millennium era. There’s a part of me that wants me to get this thing:

it is an event exclusive and my local supplier is able to get one of these, BUT…I think I’ll wait til I get my SH MonsterArts (Godzilla 2021). This is something I would like to have in my collection, but at the same time, there’s a Ghost Rider figure that’ll be coming out later this year, and I’d like to save my money for that.

Like I said before: I like GvK and when I buy a Godzilla figure, I dont buy it just because it looks cool. it's because I like the film and I wanna add that version of the Big G to my collection, and because this is something special...yeah, a part of me wants to get it (...and I certainly feel A LOT more comfortable spending my money on this than Mecha G 2021.), but at the same time, I REALLY want that ghost rider figure. that is the only thing that's missing from my collection. both are REALLY expensive and I can only get one of these. I'm kinda torn between these two. I know the value of the event exclusive will sky-rocket one it's sold out and if I buy that, I have to cross my fingers that Marvel Legends will release a figure of ghost rider later this year. (I mean, it is the 50th anniversary of Ghost Rider) 

I got some motorsport to watch this weekend. Last weekend was the first round of the Nurburgring Endurance Series. Now, it’s the first round of the GTWorld Challenge Endurance Cup. I can’t wait to see the new beemer in action. it's bout time they replaced the ol BMW M6. ^^

I also replaced the fan in my room and I’m SO glad that I was able to assemble it, and I was able to find one. Yeah, we went on a wild-goose chase to and try and find one. We are approaching winter, so it’s understandable. But we managed to find one. I’m SO glad I got rid of my old fan. It was really starting to piss me off. Yes, it was still working, but when I turn it on and I leave it on for a couple of mins, it sounds like somebody is scratching on a chalk-board / it sounds like there is a screw loose and I had a really hard time getting some sleep + it was already on its last legs. So, for once, I am looking forward to get some sleep ^^ goodnight every-pony. 

Hey guys  ^^ I dont think I've ever asked this question before, but everyone has a story with the creation of their OC. so, I'm just curious, what went into the thought process when you were making your OC? 

why do I hear toad screams in the backround!? O.O is this supposed to be a jab from sega!?  I know the two of them had a rivalry in the 90s, but man!!!!!!

With the announcement of a sequel to Godzilla VS Kong, I decided to get one of these:

Yeah, they were originally selling Godzilla and Kong for bout $150, but a few months later, they've reduced the price to $120, which is pretty bloody cheap for an SH MonsterArts figurine. dont worry, it's brand new. it's not 2nd hand. (I think this is because this was the re-issue and they had a lot of them left in stock.)

I will admit: It's not my favourite version of godzilla (I was never really a fan of the design of legendary goji, but he looks really good in this film. We get to see a lot more of him in the film AND we get a good look at his personality. he is clearly the alpha male in this film), but at least I dont have to worry bout keeping it in the box to "retain its value". So yeah, I can take this thing out of the box and test out its articulation. I think this will be a figure that I'll grow to appreciate as time goes on. (similar to the 2014 bathurst winner I bought in 2017. I did not want to get it at the time, but I'm SO glad that I did.) 

...but yeah, I wanted to get something from the movie. (from what I've seen on youtube, there are some QC issues with Kong (it has some really tight joints that if you put any pressure on them, it'll snap) and Mechagodzilla.) (the pistons between its legs are very fragile and will break / snap off if you spread them out, and for a figure that costs almost $400, yeah...no thanks).

I like GvK. It's one of those films that gets better and better and better every-time I watch it. all of the monsters have their moment in the spot-light. (in my book, it is A LOT better than final wars) So yeah, for $120, that is a steal. it is the only one out of three that doesnt have ANY QC issues. okay, so it is effectively the "atomic breath" version, but it does not come with a beam effect. 

If I really want to get a beam effect, I can always get the play-mates. it comes with a beam effect. (My NECA Bio Goji has a beam effect, but I dont think that's gonna fit in its mouth) It's cheap, I dont have to open up my NECA Bio Goji and it's a pretty good substitute. (Thank you PrimeVSPrime for the suggestion. ^^ I saw a couple of these at my local K-mart for a pretty good price.) 

Overall, I am happy that I bought meself an SH MonsterArts  will this be the last SH MonsterArts I'll buy??? hell no. I'm still gonna get final wars goji. I'm kinda iffy bout mechagodzilla 2021. yes, I'd like to get one, yes, I do have the money to get one, but the QC issues with the pistons does concern me, and for nearly $400, I think it is WAY too risky, so yeah...that's why I bought this. I think I got a pretty good deal and...I'm satisfied.  I mean, I already have a Funko Pop of Mechagodzilla 2021 and it has an incredible amount of detail and it's solid.  

I just wanna point out that I dont just simply go and buy a godzilla figure just because it looks cool. it's because I like the film and I wanna add that version of the Big G to my collection.  

man, watching this video reminds me of the good ol days of the fandom, back when MLP was EVERYWHERE on the internet. ^^ it's such a shame that most of these got taken down by hasbro or youtube. there were SO many projects that had potential, but no. they had to spoil the fun. (MLP: Fighting Is Magic is one of them. Yes, I know it evolved into Them's Fighting Herd's and they helped with the project, but I would've liked to have seen the final product. Legends Of Equestria is another. IMO, it came out WAY too late, and this was a game that A LOT of people were hyped about, but because it came out so late and the game was still largely un-finished the hype is gone and for the most part, it is a ghost town. I hate how most of these fan-made pony games have fallen into obscurity. there was so much love and care that was put into these games. MLP: Rise Of The Clockwork Stallions is a game that a lot of you probably have never heard of. it was made by Darkera studios and it was an amazing MLP 2D platformer. unfortunately, it got bought by indie games in 2016 and just like that, it disappeared. if you can find a link to it, I highly suggest you go and play it, you wont be disappointed. pony town and ponyvania are the only ones that I know that have managed to survive.) 

I still remember watching Nightmare Night, Double Rainboom and Fall Of The Crystal Empire when it first came out. man, those were instant hits!!! ^^ this is the kind of creativity that I no longer see from the fandom.

(yeah, I no longer watch the Top 10 Best Pony Videos for two reasons. 1. LittleShyFIM has f*cked it up. prior to 2018, they'd post a small clip of it. now, he'd give a brief description of it, show a clip of it for a few seconds and that's it. uhh...I dont want it to be spoiled. I prefect to go and watch it and I dont wanna listen to your lame-ass shitty voice, either. and 2. most of these clips came out at the very end of the show, and by that point, by sanity was hanging by a thread. yeah, I didnt like seasons 6 - 9 and I'll always refer to it as the down-fall of MLP: FIM. I think I remember watching a youtube where they said that the reason why the quality of the show took a nose-dive is because they hired a bunch of new writers and they did not have a deep connection with the mane 6. if you take a look at twilight from seasons 1 - 5, she was more confident, cool, calm and collective. if you take a look at how she is from seasons 6 onwards, she would almost always have a nervous break-down, and it got really f*cking annoying, ngl. Rainbow Dash ALSO become more aggressive from season 5 onwards. just take a look at Tanks for the memories, Scare Master and 28 Pranks Later, and she'd keep saying 'awesome' in every single episode she was in in season 7. yeah, that pretty much tipped me over the edge. I couldnt stand either of that.)

maybe I'm not looking in the right place, but then again. every-pony is different. I was into the fan-made animations and the fan-made pony games. I really liked how they'd explore some of the lore of the show and they'd put some of the backround ponies in the spotlight. back in the day, I didnt really care much bout Derpy and Doctor Whooves, Colgate /  Minuette, Lyra and Bon-bon, but after I played minty fresh adventure and I watched a couple of fan-made animations, I started to have an attachment to these characters. (Slice Of Life was basically a love letter to the fandom and it's something I wish they would have done instead of pony life. just make a spin off series with one of the backround characters. that would've been AMAZING!!!) 

It's a shame that most of these animators have either left the fandom or they've stopped making fan-made MLP youtube vids. (IMO, most of the popular pony youtubers have become toxic over the last couple of years. a good example of this would have to be KP A.K.A IloveKimPossibleAlot. I remember a long time ago there was some controversy where she threatened / lashed out at one of her co-workers, demanding money or something and she had to post a vid on her youtube channel apologizing for her actions. I tried to find this video, but it looks like it has gone private. the other one is toon krytic. I didnt know much bout this guy, but from what I've heard from all of the other popular brony youtubers and in the comments section...yeah, not good. Idk what happened to Animated James, but something happened to him. I remember the last time I watched an episode of Bronies React, and he was pretty...unamused at this point, JoshScorcher is pretty negative and for those of you who dont know, I had a really bad encounter with LittleShyFIM on Legends Of Equestria back in 2017. yeah, he was kind of a prick towards me. that's why I dont like him and I still dont like him to this day. the way I see it most of these popular brony youtubers care bout is likes, views and subscribers. they dont care bout the people in the comments sections or the fans. if they did, they would respond. not only that, most of them have been churning out the same content over and over again. CinemareSins / Everything wrong with 'insert name of episode here', the episode reviews from KP, yeah...the humor has become pretty stale / dry at this point. it was pretty funny back then, but when you keep doing the same thing over and over again, yeah...it's not that funny anymore. I'm not saying all of them are like that, but most of the popular ones have become pretty toxic. just saying.)

when you take a look at generation 5, there has been no-build up whatsoever. I know it's early days, but still. when you take a look at the mane 6, they all had a personality we could all relate to, and that's what made them so popular. Sunny and Izzy are more or less copies of Twilight and Pinkie Pie. we didnt get to see what the other three were like. me personally, I did not like MLP: A new Generation and I still think they should've made it as its own separate thing instead of trying to build on the success of MLP: FIM. If they dont say "ohh, this is set in the world of equestria, but it's on a different continent", they are in BIG trouble. 

I'm gonna try to be optimistic bout g5, but there are A LOT of things they need to address. I just hope they can fix some of their mistakes and they can breathe some fresh air into the fandom. that's all I ask.  sorry if I had a little rant here. I just wanted to get this out of my head. 

I still like to think that 2016 was the last good year of the fandom. everything pretty much fell silent after 2017 - 2018. 

So anyways, is there any fan-made MLP animations that gave you nostalgia?  ^^

Well, I'm happy that I've got something to watch this weekend  ^^ Tomorrow is the first round of the Nurburgring Endurance Series and it looks like I'll be able to watch day 1 of the Tasmania SuperSprint, but I wont be able to watch the final race of the weekend. that's okay. I can just watch the highlights when it pops up on 7.  

the next round of the V8 Supercars Championship will be at Albert Park. channel 10 will broadcast the event. there's also the F1 Australian Gran Prix. Yeah, I dont care bout that. 

according to speedcafe.com, channel 7 will broadcast the Townsville 500, Sandown (I'm a lil surprised they're not gonna broadcast the darwin triple crown. that's a bit of a shame. earlier this year, they announced every car will have an indigenous livery), the Bathurst 1000 (well, duh. that is LITERALLY the main event), the gold coast 500 and the Adelaide 500. (hopefully, Penrite Racing will give us another killer livery for the Sandown Supersprint. I was unable to watch the Sandown SuperSprint last year cuz it was locked behind a pay-wall.)

hey every-pony  ^^ how are we all doing today? 

Well, this has come as a bit of shock. :O  apparently, they are making a sequel to godzilla VS kong, and guess what? it's gonna be filmed in...Australia. Yeah, mate!!!!!! Now, that is really good to see. y'know, it's kinda funny. last year, I didnt really want to see Godzilla VS Kong 'cuz I wasnt a huge fan of the monsterverse (cuz most of the fight scenes was filmed in the dark and you could hardly see what was going on) but cuz they were passing out vouchers and they gave me a $25 voucher to go and see a movie, I might as well and I did not regret it. it has some of the best fight scenes in the entire franchise. I'm really excited to see the sequel.  

Now, this does raise some questions: what are they gonna put godzilla up against!? I like to think it could possibly be mecha king ghidorah considering they got the skulls of it and the metal carcass of mechagodzilla, but I'd honestly would like to see either Gigan or Destroyah make an appearance in the monsterverse. what's funny is, I just came back from JB-HI-FI and I bought myself a DVD of Godzilla VS Kong not too long ago and I intend to watch it in a couple of hours. I tell ya, when you look past COVID and the war between ukraine and russia and the fact that everything is going up, there is A LOT of HYPE!!!  pokemon scarlet and violet, ghost rider 50th anniversary, and now, this  As a Goji fan, I'm SUPER hyped bout this!!! ^^ 

oh well, it looks like they dont have the My Little Pony Kinder Surprise Easter Eggs that they had last year, but I'm still gonna get one. I LOVE Kinder Surprise!!!  just for the hell of it, I might get two / three of these, but we'll just have to wait and see. unfortunately, we've got a very small fridge and they're very big.  Easter is not too far away, so what I might do is maybe buy one this week and buy one next week. all they have is Marvel and Frozen. I'm not a fan of either, but hey. I'm here for the chocolate. ^^

Okay, let's take a look at my wish list so far for 2022. ^^ okay, so I'm still having trouble deciding which SH MonsterArts figure I wanna get. I just watched Godzilla Final Wars with a friend of mine and I watched Godzilla VS Kong a couple of weeks ago. if you want my honest opinion, I’d say GvK is better than Final Wars. 

I have a spare $470 lying around, but I'm saving that for my key-board. (yeah, there’s a couple of keys on my key-board that need to be replaced and unfortunately, they cant replace the keys that are faulty. they have to replace the whole thing. Yeah, it’s pretty expensive, I know.) I think I got $370 from my parents last year ($150 for my birthday and $220 for christmas) 

I mean, yes. I do have the Mechagodzilla 2021 funko pop, but I really wanna get my hands on an SH MonsterArts. I dunno. A part of me says I should save my money but then again, between now and september, there isnt really anything that I wanna buy. I am no longer interested in star wars or transformers. the only other thing I wanna get is a plushie of the fire starter for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. I'll probably use my savings for that. 

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet wont be coming out til November, the 50th anniversary of Ghost Rider is not til August (IF they do release a figure of ghost rider, I'll probably use my savings to buy it.)

the point I'm trying to make is I wanna get an SH MonsterArts figure that I like, rather than an SH MonsterArts figure that a lot of other people like, but I'm kinda neutral towards it, but at the same time, I dont wanna break the bank. (yeah, that SH MonsterArts Mechagodzilla is roughly $370!!! Final Wars Goji is $160.) 

there's also another thing I need to take into consideration. With the war between Ukraine and Russia, everything is going up. it's not gonna get any cheaper. I mean, take a look at all of the 1:18 scale diecast models that we have here in Australia. in the past, (2017 - 2018) they were roughly $182 - $195. Now, they are $250 because of COVID19!!! ...yeah...if I wanna get something, I need to get it now before it's too late. 

I COULD use that money to go and buy myself a Nintendo Switch / Switch Lite, but then I have to buy a screen-protector ($15 - $20) a case ($20 - $50), and the warranty (I have no idea how much that would be but I know that would certainly add to the cost. I'm gonna assume it's $100 if you want a 2 year warranty), and when you add all of that to the price, it'll be well over $400 - $500 + I already have a switch lite. if they DO make a switch lite that has better battery life, I'll take that into consideration. for me, the Nintendo Switch is WAY too expensive and if you ask me, it's not worth it. 

As for diecast models, I dont really have any space for them. UNLESS it is the 1984 Masterton Homes Falcon, David Reynolds wins a race this year and I get to see it LIVE on Kayo / 7, a Ford WINS the bathurst 1000 OR Rowe racing wins the Nurburgring 24 hours / the 24 hours of spa, I'm not gonna get a diecast model this year. 

...and that's pretty much it. there's a part of me that wants to save my money just in case if SH MonsterArts releases 84goji or they do a re-issue of Burning G / Kiryu, but I dont think that's gonna happen.

I could spend that extra $470 on a brand new keyboard OR I save it for a brand new laptop. In total, I got bout $840. Is it enough to buy a brand new laptop? Yes. Is it enough to buy a brand new gaming laptop? No. not even close. 

So, what do you reckon? should I save what I’ve got for a brand new gaming laptop or spend what I got last year on that SH MonsterArts Mechagodzilla?  this is a figure that I really wanna get, but I'm kinda iffy bout the price...  maybe you can help me out here, @Samurai Equine

Yesterday, I got extremely lucky. I bought meself some fish and chips and I got TWO for the price of one!!!  when I saw it, I was like: "why is it so bulky???"  apparently, there was another piece of fish that was stuck onto the back of it and the cook didnt notice!!! I couldnt believe it!!! I dont know bout you, but this made my day.  

I know this is a bit unusual to make a post bout this, but I never thought this would NEVER happen to me. the last time I was this lucky, I found a $5 note on the floor. =P

EDIT: Well, would you look at that. Yesterday, it was St. Patricks Day for me. What a coincidence!!! XD
