The times I get bamboozled by American date format ...
This is a serious problem!
I can totally understand that while typing month by name like "September 12 2020", as it's not confusing at all, but when using just numbers... No one knows what is what. At the very least it could be "09.12.2020 ADF", which would warn everyone in the world, that the date is
all over the placewritten in American Date Format or something.Inb4 the time in America will be written like this "hh:ss:mm".
Each time I want to read the date of someone's birthday or post date here on the forums, one of my brain cells leaves the chat.

If you'll scroll up the year to the top, you'll have an option "Not Telling". If you'll pick it, your birthday will show only month and day, where month will be written by name. Putting full birthday will automatically throw that wonky format, sadly.
November / 6 / 1990 => 6/11/1990
November / 6 / Not Telling => November 11So yeah, not specifying the year ftw
@HereComesTom And that's fine too, as it still forms a proper pyramid, so to speak. If one sees 2020 at the beginning, then the logic automatically suggests, that next is month and then day. So 2020-09-12 is absolutely fine and I use that myself to sort my folders by date in specific cases, for example.
Various software also tend to use that format, to sort backups/screenshots properly.
