What if Spike is a Changeling spy who was "placed" by Queen Chrysalis

in order to learn every-creatures weaknesses? 

1. Spike has no idea where he comes from.
2. He spends all of his time hanging around ponies, dragons & Changelings learning their ways. 
3. "Spike" sounds more like a nickname, IMO. (This doesn't count but I thought I'd add it.)

Well, it’s 09:17 o’clock in the morning and the start of an elongated day of college (two three-hour lessons, what fun), and I also happened to get caught in a mini-blizzard on the way to the campus, so today really has abysmal written all over it already.

The Recherche is befuddled as to how potent Discord's magic must have been to make her act so zany and undignified.

The Recherche hopes to make up for this, as daunting of a task as it may seem.
