Well apartently my network gave me 10GB free data for the month
if I wanted more data I'd pay for more,
and considering I want to go down to a lower amount of data, I dont want another 10GB
sure, is nice for people who dont have internet or cant afford to pay for more, but it should be optional, because I only have 3gb usually and I cant even use that using only data on my phone

It's not like you're forced to use it all, so it practically remains optional.
Now on the other hoof, if only some random users would receive such bonus, it wouldn't be FABULOUS!™, given the reasoning (a bit of help during that tough time) behind that bonus. It would be something like "We know the times are tough, so to help everyone stay connected, we're giving a free internet bonus,.... but only to few random customers. Sorry if you aren't one of them LUL. You can still pay us more if you wish and of course, if you still have a job lmao

So yeah, it's just a nice gesture, you don't have to use this. Also, because of the madness, that is happening right now, many people are losing jobs or are getting paid much much less (like me ;-; ), so some may not be able to afford such critically important thing as internet connection, because they might be having more important things to take care of.
It absolutely doesn't hurt to have some extra data, you don't need to be bothered by that at all if you don't want to.
