It was his goodbye, and as for Meghan, doesn't she have a big position at Hasbro now, she still has alot of power, infact she is involved with Gen 5. -
Apparently so. I think the comics are their own thing. Also I'm thinking that the writers of that comic thought he was gone for good(They originally had no intention of bringing Sombra back in the show, so they might have just figured that they could write a redemption story for him) but with Season 9 being the last, I guess they figured out a good story to bring him back. Big Jim was asked at a panel by a fan who read that comic, "Are characters like Sombra and Tierk remediable?" his answer was something like "I don't know if I wanna comment, in case we want to bring them back" I guess they found a story to bring him back. -

The name came from the boat in the Agatha Christie novel "Death on The Nile". Its also based on this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karnak I'm a huge fan of Ancient Egypt.

Just, WOW! He has really improved with time. Makes me sad that the song "Open Your Eyes" was not submitted to Academy Awards, sure it may not have gotten nominated, but the fact that garbage like "The Emoji Movie" was submitted and this wasn't is just sad. Side-note: Is it true that music from the movie will be used in Season 8 and 9? I really hope so!!
