      Get both, as each are only one half a single story. If you can only get one, I recommend Seasons over Ages, but that's just me.

      I know you get extra content if you get both but how does that work? Does it matter which one I get first?

      No, it doesn't matter which order you play them in. Once you beat the final boss of one, you get a code to enter while starting a new game on the other, which starts you off with one extra heart and triggers a few extra encounters with characters.
