@Bas I hadn't seen your reply before I posted mine. I hope those brohoof notifications you mentioned weren't all from me... Like I said, I wouldn't want to annoy people with that!

To be honest, I've cut down on the brohoofing just a little – for example, if there's a status with 50 replies that I haven't seen at all, I usually can't be bothered to even read them all, let alone brohoof them.

I get double notifications when I get mentioned, yes, but I get mentioned very rarely (mostly by @Xeltor because he likes me )

But there are notification that say "... responded to a status update" maybe 25 notifications later, that still takes you back to that same status you read an hour ago. That's uncool. We are talking about a status reply that was read already. it should have merged and disappeared the moment you read it, instead of acting like click-bait.

@Splashee If you make a profile post and mention the person in question in the post, they'll get triple notifications if I'm not mistaken.

I wish the status reply notifications were merged too (but apparently the forum software just doesn't allow it – weird since it does that for reactions). Can you imagine having a separate notification for every brohoof on a single post?
