    as much as I hate Starlight, she was one of the cutest foals on the show.

    Honestly, I relate a lot to her as a foal. My "foal"hood best friend's a boy, and I had my hair like here's for a while.

      Yeah Starlight's redemption in the Season 5 finale was really rushed.

      Then again Sunset was technically redeemed right after being hit by the power of elements of harmony. All she had to do was cry and say sorry, and then Twilight forgave her. Which incidentally is basically what Starlight's redemption was like, so yeah Sunset and Starlight are really similar.

      Yeah, but they didn't. Having no redemption wouldn't have been good for the child audiences that the film was aimed at.

      Plus if Sunset wasn't redeemed, then there wouldn't have been anyone to take over the role of being the leader of the Mane 6 (since Hasbro was slowly trying to separate FIM and EQG).
