An old friend (of sorts) contacted me out of the blue today. He’s being enthusiastic (unlike normal), not swearing (unlike normal), and wants to talk about books (also unlike normal). 

In other news, I’m still procrastinating some emails. What am I doing instead? Painting. And eating blueberries.

I want you to know that I'm going to miss you. A lot. It's a shocking thing when anypony leaves, especially one like you who has been around for so long. You were one of the first people I met, so I know you well and have spoken to you a lot. 

I want you to know that if there is ever anything you need, we'll always be here. I'm not interested in Discord... well, the website, not the character, but I'm sure you'll find the others there if need be. Does anypony remember the Hub? Was it any good because I wasn't around for it? 

So yeah: drawing Princess of Grapes’s request of him smacking Lucky Bolt was fun and challenging, and I’m relieved that she liked the picture over on Discord and didn’t want to kill us both.  I hope she returns someday.

In other news, I have to get a family member a birthday card, and I painted the Friendship is Witchcraft logo today.
