  1. Haha, and all is right with the forums. Good to see you back with everyone, Ms. Dawnsborough.

  2. If we're looking for metal stuff, Ocean Machine would work but he already bought it. But from a general perspective those two work. I still listen to Ki on a daily basis, and there were numerous times where listening to Ghost while on the forums chat at 5am made me feel not sick, so I would recommend them. Speaking of Ocean Machine though, @, you haven't listed to that sucka yet boiii? ...now I feel a bit too proud. ._.
  3. The most replied thread in probably all of Everfree Forest. I was surprised at first at how there was a thread like this when I joined. Grown so much...
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTTm1VVkOCQ I still think this is a solid album released. Wonder what happened to them after Being and Nothingness... The general consensus is that you can never go wrong with Accelerated Evolution, Terria, and Ziltoid the Omniscient (but only if you're a big boy). Due to his genre diversity, it's totally up to your taste as to what you want to get. Ambient: The Hummer, Devlab Pop: Addicted and Epicloud Calm Stuff: Ki and Ghost Weird Stuff: Infinity, Ziltoid... Heavy: Accelerated..., Ocean Machine, Terria, Synchestra REALLY heavy: Deconstruction, Ziltoid, Physicist (but no one gives a shit about Physicist) REALLY REALLY heavy: Anything from SYL
  5. I am a bigger fan of comics rather than manga. Granted, I haven't read a lot of manga in the first place, and I've only just started to read more comic books, but from what I've read in both I found myself much more emotionally invested in comic books. In this argument, are you looking at comics in a whole or just printed ones by noted publishers/etc. (Vertigo, IDW, Mirage, etc.)?
  6. Your birthday was yesterday and I missed it?! LAME! A late happy birthday to you man, hope you're doing well.

    1. Kurtiss

      Kurtiss

Hey! Thanks a lot! :3 I'm doing fine!

  7. >Implying that its a thing now Decent. It's March Break and I have a headache. Not a good combination. Surprising to find someone that not only likes Time Bomb, but doesn't bitch at the fact that it's not Demolition Hammer. I only remember them for their instrumental... huh. Shit... I remember watching the beginning of that one. Didn't know that...
  8. I like-a da bass intro. Album doesn't stack up to Go and Live... NO IM NOT JEL BECAUSE I MEANT THE PHYSICAL COPY IS IMPOSSIBRU TO GET YA DUNCE. Also, go listen to Protector.
  9. Wow, he even went with the instrumental... also, would you believe me if I said the album was slower? Good luck with that. The last I remember someone being able to pick that up was by import from Australia in some website from years ago. Can't find anything like it. ...but if you do, I'll hunt you down for it.
  10. Eh, like I said. You got the three "best" albums, so a lot won't stack up. As far as new age Megadeth goes, Endgame is good. The System Has Failed is the only thing that could surpass it.
  11. Considering you got Rust In Peace and Peace Sells (I think), Endgame might not stack up. Compared to Thirteen and United Abominations though, it's absolute gold. Probably the last good thing Mustaine might produce.
  12. Managed to pick this one up. It's slightly different from whatever else they released but I've enjoyed this album the most out of all discography. Even has the song that got me into 3IOB... That goes for the both of us. Fucking ha to that one. Where is it quoted from?
  13. Anything I said about the Point of No Return EP, disregard it. I like it now. Anything from Images and Words, Awake, Metropolis Pt.2. As for my recommendations, the majority of Six Degrees makes that album my favourite (Blind Faith, The Great Debate, etc.), but I feel Systematic Chaos holds a special place in my heart, considering it was my first DT album (I think).
  14. Huh. I thought you'd recommend Under The Influence over Years Of Decay... And I don't listen to enough Black Metal to find the meme funny. Sorry.
  15. I saw that picture. I was laughing for days. God, Blitz and co. is too much sometimes. I know, so do I. Problem is, they're failing to keep up. Plus, Spiritual Genocide could've been better by far.
  16. I've recently been getting into songs found in anime, if that counts (thanks to One Piece), I've grown a bit more interested in Jazz due to consistent volunteering, and I think that the A7X ripping off Overkill logo is the most hilarious conspiracy I've heard. Popularity wise, Kreator > Sodom > Destruction. Destruction, at least after Cracked Brain got meh, but from what I've seen they're not that overrated.
  17. First two albums from Carcass and The IVth Crusade by Bolt Thrower are good picks to start with. Again, not the guy to go to for Grindcore. ...I got nothing now.
  18. Hey, Eluvetie is always a good choice, regardless of whether its Folk or Death, but I remember some gutteral parts that may appear, so I thought I go against. They're really good though.
  19. In this case, I wouldn't recommend Eluveitie. On that note, I'm a bit surprised how this thread doesn't have as many Soilwork fans as I thought... As far as grindcore goes (and I know little) the first few that come to mind are Napalm Death, Carcass and Bolt Thrower. Every metal fan I know that likes grindcore always recommends Carcass, and Bolt Thrower is always a good choice for anyone interested in Death Metal.
  20. *cracks knuckles* Angelus Apatrida Demolition Hammer Fog Of War Vindicator (US) I think you've heard of Demolition Hammer and Angelus though... @, this ought to be good.
  21. Marks are good, I have a SLIGHT social life, and I have a love interest, so in short nothing short of good. Here's the thing. World Gone Dead would've been as good as Born Of the Bomb, but the problem is that the production made the guitar parts sound messier in places (best examples: Act Of War solo, Aggressive Perfector cover). Otherwise, the album is great. ALL HAIL THE LICH KING. And don't get me started. I know quite a bit to recommend. Except Crossover or Black.
  22. What else has been diggin around in my iTunes...? Yeah, Sacred Reich is class. This album being a bit underrated, but I think it could be EXTREMELY accessible to a number of people. I DO SUCKA. Closest I could get to Black Metal is Aura Noir, Skeletonwitch, Chthonic and, in worst case examples, Warbringer. I don't have the KVLTness for TR00 Black Metal dude. @, Thanks for the welcome. ^ Obligatory MW post. ._.
  23. The drummer of Warbringer before he joined them is in this band. State of Insurgency is a mindblowing album. Shame that Being And Nothingness doesn't stack up (thrashy bits suck, melody is top notch though). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7s9Ge_Kx4kU Short and fast, but this song still pretty fast. This and Brain Damage are the only good albums from these guys though, which is a shame, because the latest two don't stack up at all... Have fun. This your second time or your third?
  24. First Havok album was pretty good admittedly. If they had the members they have now playing on Burn... oh christ... ...oh yeah, see ya guys until... March, maybe?
  25. One of my favourite instrumentals as far as Thrash goes. I like the classical influences and stuff in the beginning and the end. Posted this already, but I'm doing it because it's also another favourite of mine. bass work is still boss! You poor soul.
