  1. Two albums released, hard to track, but the songwriting is class act. If you're willing to pay, try this link. Otherwise, torrents and blogspot are your best friend.
  2. Too easy. - Been around since early 90's, went big as far as the European Thrash scene went with Heresy, took a break then came back with Collision Course, took ANOTHER break and then went back to being a band again. They even have a new album out in 2012, Tales of the Weird. Deathrow - One word. - Did a number of great Tech Thrash releases, my favourite being their first one First Depression, then after Electric Scum fell off the face of the earth. - Not a death/thrash fan, but their two releases A Shedding Of Skin and The Heritage are massive and rare as it is, plus its got so much power. If you want something of a slightly different quality, their other two releases are good. Vendetta - My favourite german band, bar none. Go and Live, Stay and Die are among some of the tastiest tech I've heard with fantastic riffs. Brain Damage is a bit simpler, BUT it has some REALLY nice gems (War, title track, FADE TO INSANITY). Admittedly, their recent ones are average and make me want to cry since they're the guys that did Suicidal Lunacy AND Drugs and Corruption... BTW, only Exumer was the only band I was willing to use. Necrophagist are time wasters for this. Helloween, on the other hand, is a good band but I never listened to them.
  3. New Gama Bomb track! Awesome! ...the acting could've been better, admittedly. I can name five other german bands that are just as good or better than Destruction, not including Kreator, Sodom or Tankard.
  4. Coroner. Coroner or GTFO. And you don't even mention Sodom. Shame on you. I'm gonna state this on record. Heavy TO and Heavy MTL are crap Canadian metal festivals. Rule of Thumb, MTL > TO. No exceptions. THEY EVEN HAVE FUCKING HAVOK AND REVOCATION. What do I get? CRAP.
  5. On the topic of Cannibal Corpse, I will have to agree to some extent that they are a contribution to the genericism of metal, but they do a good/decent job at what they do, so I won't complain. Besides, I'm not a GIGANTIC fan of Death Metal in the first place. On the melo-death note, I'm not a fan of the majority of the genre, almost to the point of complete dislike. -- On ANOTHER note... I will second this. The Roberta OVA was fucking intense.
  6. SO MANY. I KINDA MISS THIS PLACE. Don't forget about the generalization of misinterpreted genres being an incoherent mess and what the attitude of some fans seem to be! =D
  7. It's like Lich King grew some balls! It doesn't help that your avatar makes you look more like a Tsundere, young'n. Burn is a good album, lengthy at times though. Contains most of my favourite songs. (CATEGORY OF THE DEAD, TOO BROAD FOR WORDS!!!) Time Is Up can be better songwriting wise, but the mass-manufacture feel from the production kinda dampens the awesome. Point Of No Return is pretty cool, the two new songs being awesome, but the Arise cover is SOOOOOOOOOOO bland. And the Raining Blood cover isn't very special (was an iTunes bonus for Time Is Up). And what ever you do, stay the fuck away from Pwn 'em All. No questions asked, just do it. INB4 Djenty.
  8. 6/10 for the teasing. The swearing in caps can be taken negatively ("FUCK YOU AND YOUR PAT SHIT" ). And when we used to do it, we usually imply some negative cynicism. ...I realized, this is where I would give an example but can't... because Djenty has changed too much... ;_;
  9. If its because of the link, that's a subtle joke on my part - you know, the "Having to explain a joke..." speech. If its the joke, Djenty HATES HATES HATES Tesseract. Which automatically makes it funny. I also forgot, NEW SODOM. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ATILfoZ60A It's... very average. Best case scenario, it's good but it only makes me want to listen to Hellfire (from In War and Pieces). Worse case scenario, fuck this song, fuck this artwork, production isn't that bad, and FUCK the new drummer.
  10. I know. As an attempt at creating an album and playing ALL instruments, it's great. But then comes the fridge horror. Edit: How'd I miss this...? The joke is that Djenty thinks Tesseract is a shitty Djent band. I hope that helps. XD
  11. Now that I think about it, Realm's work is VERY inaccessable to a ton of people, but some of the songs are just WORTH getting over it. SUICIETEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-YEAH!!! B-b-b-b-but subjectivity is what makes the world go 'round! D: -From what I noticed, 80% of the "bashing" (note the quotes) are mainly light hearted jokes. The only argument that I thought that would be horrible would be Deku getting ticked at Djenty's opinion on TesseracT (See "I Am Not Amused" for my humerious retort) -You didn't notice at all? I figured it out already, and it made me want to cry.
  12. Whiplash anyone? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IHLPxKCFVU I know I know, they've released better albums (Power and Pain), but I thought the groove in this riff is smooth and tasty. Lets see how far you can go then. Welcome to the thread. Beware the DJ.
  13. Being on TvTropes for a while, editing the Devin Townsend article has lead to SYL binge... I've forgotten that City and Alien are massive in doses. I still can't tolerate Info Dump. Speak for yourself Mr. KVLT.
  14. ...what did I just walk into? The general chat thread? Anyway, Fire Up The Blades. Still my favourite album from these guys. Much different from their usual catalogue.
  15. Shocked to find out that three ponies are gods in Pantheon's Nature House...

  16. I guess I'm running out of songs to post, considering my growing boredom as of late. One of the most delectable intro riffs I've heard.
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ATILfoZ60A This... this is a painfully meh track from Sodom's new one. Compared to shit like Soul Contraband, The Enemy Inside or Styptic Parasite, it all bones. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vx9Urklrp0o Compare the two.
  18. It's because the guys I talk with on another site know tons beyond tons of death metal and thrash and more, and when someone drops a video about a band they mention, I assume that the person knows what they're doing. It's interesting if anything. Victims of Deception. VERY good pick.
  19. Good pick on Helstar... but that other band... that was interesting... ._. ...I feel inferior. Surprising to find someone interested in that band...
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zG0kJ-8zZs Been wanting to get this album for a while, but I feel too lazy to leave my house... I'll second that. His second album shows a lot more beauty in simplicity. Speak English, you hipster muppet!
  21. A general tie between three of my cousins and my dad. To start, two of my cousins are like the older brothers I never had (moved from homecountry to get education here in Canada). One was outgoing but too silly at the time, and the other can be a bit secluded, but both were really caring even still to this day and they've taught me a lot about things that my parents didn't know before. Meanwhile, the third cousin (who is an actual Canadian Citizen) was like the sister I never had, combining reason, teasing and logic in a calmer manner to combat my situational ridiculousness. And then there's my dad. Stubborn as fuck, unfocused at times and one sentence away from irritance, but has the work ethic of a madman with a kickass past (in my opinion) and lots of experience. Combine all of that with a battle against diabetes and you've got my role model all in place. In any case, I would hate to see what would happen if anything happened to them, let alone my whole family.
  22. A single from the recent Soilwork album. While the cares I have for them are very little, they know what they're doing. http://www.guitarworld.com/exclusive-premiere-jeff-loomis-speak-nothing This is a link to a new Jeff Loomis song released a while back. All I can say is if I wanted this kind of heaviness I would've gone back to Nevermore...
