It's basically house music but it's mixed in with hardcore dark genres like noise, drone and Dark Ambient

White Ring and Salem are both good for starters on the genre

Underworld sounds familiar.. can't say I know of the other ones o.o

Underworld were around in the early 90's back when EDM sounded good and was first kicking up, if I mention Trainspotting then that may ring a bell. XXYYXX he kind of reminds of Flying Lotus a bit, Crystal Castles are an experimental band a bit noisy in some of their songs, and Daedalus, I can't blame you for not knowing him, I only know a handful about him.
