  1. From the Sainsburys mention, I'm guessing you're in the UK...? You can get the Magic Eraser from places like Poundland (presumably quite cheap, then), Poundstretcher, Wilkinsons and some supermarkets. I've seen them before, but I'd never considered using them for something like this...nice idea, StarStep. I've always used nail polish remover for things like this (usually on WWE figures I've bought loose/cheap on eBay, which showed up with weird dirty marks). I was very wary of it at first (I thought I was being trolled by the people recommending it, and imagined all the paint would strip off), but it worked really well. You couldn't even tell any marks had ever been there...they look good as new. Good luck!
  2. Welcome to the board! I got drawn in by the title too...I was kinda expecting you to be Irish, because I used to work with an Irish guy who'd always start his phone calls with "Y'all reet, it's *his name*". But you're clearly not a guy, or Irish...so you're obviously not him (and this story's kinda irrelevant...sorry). Anyway...hi! I'm also a North West person.
  3. I just never thought "girls' toys" were interesting when I was a kid. I don't really think I was like "that's for girls/this is for boys"...I'd just much rather have played around with a TMNT truck that launched missiles or a moving Megazord with sounds and lights, than a doll that cried/peed or a Ken that just...stood there in a scarf, looking stylish. I really think parents should let kids play with whatever toys they like, whether they're "meant for" boys, girls, cats, whatever. A girl playing with Ben 10 figures won't actually do her any harm, nor would a boy having a collection of Sylvanian Families. Refusing something over supposed gender-suitability is just silly, IMO. I've never been to Harrods...that new layout looks pretty cool...
  4. ...Taylor Swift is on there too. Not a very "cool" mix, I know...but it's a really nice song.
  5. Just for fun. I totally suck at pretty much any multiplayer game (whether it's shooting, fighting, racing, whatever)...it seems like no matter how much I practise, I never seem to get any better. =/ I get much more enjoyment from playing through single player and following the story through.
  6. It's a Squier Affinity P-Bass...it's nothing too fancy, just a kinda beginner-level model. But it does what I need and it's fun to play around with.
  7. It's the name of one of my favourite Pokémon. I've used various Pokémon names on forums over the years, but I'm planning on sticking with this one (and the super-cute avatar) for a while.
  8. For as long as I can remember, it's been Superman (I'm wearing a Superman t-shirt right now)...but The Flash is very close behind. I only got into Flash a year or two ago, but he's got (I think) the greatest lineup of villains in comics. I know his powers aren't very exciting to a lot of people (er...he can run fast), but I've really been enjoying the stories and characters. I read a lot more DC than Marvel, but I've been a fan of Spidey and Cap for a long time...and I've grown to like Deadpool over the past few years
  9. In no real order... All Time Low Mayday Parade New Found Glory Simple Plan Kids In Glass Houses It changes around from time to time, but they're always in my top 10.
  10. I live in the UK and when I first got into anime, it was because of the Toonami block every night on Cartoon Network (which was DBZ, Tenchi Muyo and Gundam Wing). The only stores I ever saw anime DVDs at were HMV, Virgin and MVC (only HMV still exists) and the prices were kinda ridiculous. You were looking at paying at least £20.00 (about $30.00) for a single disc, four episode release. Nowadays, you'd get three discs with 13 episodes or that much (or about £15.00 online). DVD was a farly new format then, but I don't really remember ever seeing any anime VHS tapes anywhere outside of second hand stores. I'd read the American magazines (like Animerica) I got from the comic shop and wish I could watch all the shows all the lucky Americans were. DBZ is only just getting a proper release here, believe it or not. I didn't have internet access then, so I wasn't aware of the wonderful world of cheaper online prices and Region 1 imports. Nowadays I can import an American blu-ray release for not much more than HMV charges for the DVD.
  11. Super Mario Bros 2...I played it an an electronics store and pestered my father to get me a NES. He actually offered to get me a SNES, but I had my mind set on getting SMB2. Looking back, I can't believe I turned down the chance to get a superior system....I was only about five years old though, so I guess I can forgive myself.
  12. I decided to replay Uncharted about a week ago. It's one of my favourite games ever (and one of very few I've actually played to the end), but I hadn't played it for years. I finished it this morning, so I've just started on Uncharted 2 (which I've never got far in). I'm also switching it between Agarest Zero and Bleach: Soul Resurrección...Bleach is great fun (if a bit mindless) and it's taking me a bit of time to get fully into Agarest.
  13. I really think Disney has released some great movies in the past few years. The Princess and the Frog was really nice, Bolt was a lot of fun and Tangled is one of my favourite movies in recent memory. Add in the stuff they didn't really make, but still had a hand in/stuck their name on (like the Pixar stuff, Muppets, Pirates, National Treasure, etc) and I'm still happy to call myself a Disney fan. I do agree they should focus more on traditional animation though...compared to the 80/90s when Disney and Don Bluth were in competition (and we saw some beautiful films), there's really not much in the way of "proper" cartoon films anymore, which is a shame. There is a lot of stuff on Disney Channel now that I really couldn't see myself ever enjoying though. Sonny With A Chance is really bad and the So Random spinoff is even worse. I really like similar shows on Nick (like Victorious, iCarly and Big Time Rush)...I just think Disney's shows are really tacky. Compared to when the Channel would be showing stuff like Darkwing Duck, Talespin and Goof Troop, it's kinda sad. But still, some people somewhere must enjoy this stuff (otherwise Disney wouldn't keep making it)...as long as these movies/shows are giving people entertainment and happiness, I guess it's a good thing.
  14. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Fluttershy How did you find MLP Forums?: Probably the #1 most popular answer, and I wish I had an exciting story...but it was via Google. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I saw some people talk about it on an anime forum...I thought it was a pretty random thing for adult men to be talking about (I always thought it was strictly a little girls' thing), but I decided to watch the first episode on YouTube. But it was a two-parter, so I had two watch the next episode. Then I was waiting for dinner to be ready, so I watched another one to pass the time. Then another. Then a...er...I think you get my point. I'm always scared of making intro posts...AHHHHHH! So...hi! I'm new and stuff (obviously)... I like Pokémon, general shonen anime/manga (One Piece is my all-time favourite), music (currently loving Yellowcard's new album and looking forward to new Go Radio), Power Rangers and other...stuff. I also play bass (not very well, but I'm sure I'll get there someday). I look forward to speaking with you all! ;D
