This is my 32nd favorite episode, mainly because it has quite a few moments that are pretty boring in my opinion. Nevertheless, there are a number of things that I thoroughly enjoy about this episode: *The tension getting the cake to the train *Seeing all the deserts *Pinkie guarding the cake *Pinkie’s detective outfit *Gustav ad an old silent movie villain *Con Mane *Mulia as a ninja *Pinkie talking about the deserts being the reason they were eaten *”I’m guilty; I wear false eyelashes! Oh and I took a bite of the cake” *Pinkie eating the whole cake, including the blue ribbon, in one bite *Pinkie not just breaking, but eating the 4th wall

A lot of people don’t like this episode because of the way Pinkie harasses Cranky, but in my opinion the amount of humor and the epic song more than make up for that and place it at 18th place on my list of favorite episodes: *Pinkie making the Cake twins laugh *Smile Smile Smile *Pinkie’s welcome wagon *Pinkie putting cake in the confetti cannon and confetti in the oven *”This donkey is really really bald” *The new wig that looks just like Steven Magnet’s hair *Pinkie being completely oblivious to how annoyed Cranky is with her *Seeing Rainbow reading again *Pinkie chasing Cranky all over the map *Pinkie blasting off like a rocket when Cranky accepts her friendship

(Funny, even the show's creator didn't want Cadance to be an alicorn.) So, even though she wasn't in charge of the show's production during season 2, she did still have a say in it. I hope they keep up the quality without her.

Winter Wrap-Up episode discussion I love this episode so much. It may not be my favorite, but it's up there. These are the reasons why I like it: *Twilight actually having "Spike refusing to wake up and going back to sleep" on her checklist *The song. In my opinion, Winter Wrap-Up is the second best song of season one, second only to At the Gala. *Pinkie ice-skating *The outhouse nest *The slapstick scene with Twilight and the animals; it was very similar to the kind of things they had in old Looney Tunes cartoons Basically I liked something in every scene, but I don't want to bother pointing out every tiny one, so I just covered the major ones. There is one small problem I've seen in the episode too, and I was wondering if any of you have seen it too. In the scene where Twilight is talking with Fluttershy, there are about ten seconds or so where there seems to be some lag in the screen and visible pixels.

I'm always hearing people talk about this episode being terrible, but I absolutely love it. It’s my 13th favorite episode of the series. To all of you who say this episode showed Rainbow at her lowest, remember this phrase: 15 minutes of fame. When someone who isn't a celebrity suddenly becomes a celebrity, they often get a taste for that attention. Even if they weren't trying to get it at first, they like it a lot when they get it and then become desperate to get it back when they lose it. When Rainbow saved the filly from the well at the beginning of the episode, she actually said it was "really no big deal," but everypony kept cheering for her anyway, and she even blushed because she was feeling bashful about the sudden attention. Then, when she saved the baby, the crowd was there cheering for her again, and then again with the seniors. She's a competitor; she loves having the support of the crowd, so now that everypony was cheering her on and calling her a hero she became absorbed in her 15 minutes of fame. Later, when Mare-Do-Well showed up and stole her 15 minutes of fame, she became desperate to get it back. Either way, would you guys feel any better about Rainbow if she had just left the filly in the well, let the baby carriage fall off the cliff, let the seniors fall to their death, ignored the tour bus, let the construction workers get crushed, and ignored the break in the dam? Ulterior motives aside, every time she saw an emergency she acted on it and did her best to save those in need, which is the right thing to do. And, at the beginning, before everypony was cheering for her and feeding her 15 minutes of fame, she was just doing these heroic acts because they were the right thing to do. Despite the cons of this episode, it has more than enough pros to make up for them: *Super-ultra-extreme-AWESOMAZING *Rainbow swimming in the clouds *Rainbow saving the filly from the well *Rainbow saving the baby and the senior citizens *Rainbow making a catch phrase for herself *Rainbow tripping on the remains of the balloon *The failed attempts to save the tour bus and construction workers *Rainbow catching a fish in her mouth after the dam breaks *Rainbow chasing Mare Do Well *Spike’s a ghost *Rainbow scaring both Spike and Pinkie

She stepped down after season one. Not only isn't she working on season 3; she didn't even work on season two (well, except the Return of Harmony, but that was made for season one and delayed until season two).

This is my absolute favorite episode of all. I love this episode for so many reasons: 1: The dream Rainbow has at the beginning is funny as Hell, especially because it shows what kind of pet Discord would probably have if he had a pet. 2: The song was perfect for the first song of the season; it wasn't bad but wasn't spectacular either (in my opinion). If it had been too dull it would have spoiled the fun of it being the first song of the season, but if it had been spectacular like Smile Smile Smile it would have set the bar too high for the songs that came later in the season. Aside from all that, I think the song was adorable. 3: All power to the Hypno-Butterfly! 4: Rainbow-colored flames! 5: Rainbow Dash always dresses in style. 6: The radicalness competition was funny as Hell: a tap-dancing duck, eagle knitting a sweater, magician falcon, and all those others were just so absurd that they were hilarious (once again, in my opinion) 7: Gesundheit. 8: The race through the gorge was epic, especially with the incorporation of the music of Flight of the Valkyries. 9: Troll Tank stealing the toy mouse.
