  1. Okay, marks are correlated with talents which correlates with personality which correlates with singing style. Problem solved. Phineas and Ferb has quite a bit of Rock in it, including Metal.
  2. That sounds a little like me, though I don't show it on the surface and only people who know me know I'm like that. NO ONE is completely controlled by logic, that's impossible. Logically there is no reason to do anything because there isn't. Logic doesn't control anything, all it is is a process to solve a problem with an end in mind. Logic cannot determine goals or whatnot. Emotions still decided that it's important to eat, sleep, and party efficiently. Stop that, I mean it. Thinking like that isn't going to help anyone. They aren't going to get help for themselves, not because they are selfish, but because the problem is so deeply rooted that it's preventing them for reaching for help, even though they probably want it. What they need is for some one to reach out to them. Also, some people are introverts and are perfectly happy being shut ins, and forcing them to do whatever is not a good idea.
  3. Vanilla, I do not like chocolate flavored things. I never had and really do not get what the big fuss about chocolate is. Though actual chocolate is better than actual vanilla.
  4. I don't want to flat out say what's going on in the picture, I want it to hit you once you finally realize what's going on, but I'm just going to say this: that isn't an alicorn in the center, it's an earth pony with wings and a horn.
  5. You know, being submissive doesn't mean you can't be useful. It's not a strict character flaw, it can be a strength in other circumstances.
  6. I don't think it's as much as they hate her as they find her harder to work with for some reason. For example, Spike at Your Service was originally supposed to be about Rarity, but she was dropped after it was decided she was being too mean to Spike. It's a bit odd that even though she is the element of generosity she is a b*tch almost as often as Rainbow Dash. I've heard that originally she was supposed to be the element of inspiration, not generosity, which makes more sense.
  7. Same. It will be the best night ever. The closest I've seen to that in any children's show is when they had that grindcore-ish song in Adventure Time that was played by Death.
  8. Thank you. As for the story, most of it is already up, I should I put a link to it in the description of the image on DeviantArt. It's an OC of mine, but it's not my ponysona or anything. I'd like to draw more, but school is sucking up all of my time. I'm currently working on the cover art for the next song from the brony music group I'm in.
  9. http://ganondox.deviantart.com/art/Isn-t-this-what-you-wanted-365447258?q=gallery%3Aganondox&qo=0 Looks, it's a pwetty pony. I drew a pwetty pony. Yeah. Okay, my artwork sucks, but I hope you like it anyway. This is a scene from a fic I'm working on.
  10. I have four younger siblings, I've watched a ton of shows for toddlers in my day. FiM definitely is NOT for toddlers. That doesn't mean they can't watch it, but they are definitely not the target audience. This is from Season 1 and it's even heavier. So no, they didn't just start adding metal to the show because bronies started watching it, metal has been in it since the beginning. It still needs a fully fledged metal song, the CMC's Theme does not count. I think the world would be a better place if more toddlers listened to heavy metal.
  11. I'm still waiting for Pinkie's Deathgrind song. It's gonna be like the best thing ever. The show is really severely lacking in Death Metal and Grindcore. What type of show for little girls doesn't have at least one? I mean really.
  12. I can't stand Cadance, who is pretty much the antithesis of the show prior to her. The show is supposed to be promoting strong female characters, not helpless Mary Sue cardboard cutouts. I hope she dies like in FiW.
  13. Hey, Fluttershy also get's Rock music during her moments. Anyway, cutie marks really have nothing to do with it. They are related to the ponies personality which is related to how the BGM's and signing styles they are shown with. The correlation is indirect. Remember, correlation does not imply causation.
  14. http://www.equestriagaming.com/2013/04/servant-of-discord-updatescreenshotsrec.html Okay, project lead Ganondox here, we really need some help with this project of ours, so if you want to make this a reality we would like for you to either help or spread the word.
  15. I'm going to point out right here, that, if I'm understanding what you are saying correctly, that is actually a symptom of Autism. See, words do not have fixed meaning, and empathy means many different things. When it is said people with autism lack empathy it means they have difficulty identify what people are feeling and their motivations, however, research has shown that another thing referred to as empathy, the ability to feel what another person may be feeling, might actually be heightened in autism. This is would make emotion situations very stressful as the person can feel the emotions, but doesn't know what they mean or how to make things better. That would mean they would try to only engage in emotional attachments with people they are comfortable with. 1. If you have Aspergers you CANNOT have an adversely affected IQ, so that point is COMPLETELY irrelevant. 2. You know people with Aspergers aren't just walking encyclopedias, no one knows everything. 3. The traits of OCPD match up closely with the B criteria of Autism. The main difference is that in Autism there needs to be a social deficit that is not caused by the obsession. She might have OCPD, or she might have AS, it's not really clear. As for the original topic, I say sure, they could both Aspergers. There is no proof that they have it, but you can make a case. If it makes you feel better to think of them as being autistic than go ahead. They are freaking cartoon ponies, it's not like we are slapping labels on real people. I personally say it's extremely unlikely that more than one character is on the spectrum, but you can make cases for Twilight, Fluttershy, and Pinkie. IMO Twilight is the most likely while Pinkie is the least likely of the three.
  16. Also, you aren't missing anything by not seeing The Games Ponies Play, it was the only episode worse than the pet one.
  17. Other complaints I have: Fluttershy seemed to be very out of character, I could see Rarity or Rainbow doing something like that, but Fluttershy is the last pony I would see being manipulative like that for multiple reasons. The only reason I see Fluttershy being given that role was because Angel needed to be set up there. World inconsistencies. The value of gems makes no sense whatsoever, even worse economics than in Super Apple Squeezy 6000 here, and the duration of the train ride made little sense.
  18. Well if you don't really care don't post here. Anyway, the point isn't about the official canon. The topic of discussion is something that the probably isn't covered by canon, thus it's left to the fanon to discuss.
  19. Um, no, you are the one who is misunderstanding all of this. This isn't about what the show writer's were thinking, it's about what the character's developed into being. Writers are only, when characters are written as having a mental disorder they are usually presented very poorly, being define not as a character but instead just a textbook entry. Twilight doesn't just "act that way sometimes", she doesn't act like a normal person would. Discussion threads about the world are almost never about what the author intended.
  20. "Lower level"? By that do you mean "deeper level" or "more simplistically" or what? I don't think I've ever seen the phrase lower level used in this context.
  21. Well it can't be "trained out of", but life skills can be learned like how to make friends. There is still other things that remain, but you might just be keeping that under "still sees the world differently".
  22. I've also seen the possiblity that Pinkie Pie has autism. This seems unlikely as most autistic people are extemely introverted and Pinkie Pie is extremely extroverted, but if you ignore her other lack of social anxiety and her need to socialize she has many of the same social impairments of those with autism. So probably not autism, but it's still possible.
  23. Ok, I'm going to go right out and say I believe TS does NOT have OCD. First, my knowledge of OCD is really based on three things, but it's probably more than most people on the internet. They are 1. Xenocide (Orson Scott Card did a lot of research on OCD before he wrote the book) 2. A forum thread explaining the difference between the OCD and the obsessive characteristics of Aspergers, and 3. Comparing and Contrasting the wikipedia articles of OCD and OCPD. Anyway, I say TS does not have OCD because as far as I can tell she doesn't display any Obessive thoughts in the OCD since and doesn't display any compulsions. All of her obessive behavior can be explained by the love of order associated with OCPD and AS. I guess she could have OCD, but I see nothing that suggests she does have it. In conclusion I say TS either has AS or OCPD, the difference really depends on where her social problems come from, and if she has Schizophrenia it's extremely mild (people with AS are more likeling to later develope schizophrenia).
