very interesting, since I love to draw I actually observe for a long time a thing before even trying to reproduce it, and I must say I have noticed that "error" that you mentioned, in fact the muzzle of the ponies is the only thing that keeps giving me trouble when I draw them, just because of that. also, I'd like to point out that I wasn't really aiming for a show-accurate twilight, but more like how I perceive her as cute, for myself. with that in mind, I have simply drawn her in a way that I like her, while still mantaining her figure and appearance, without creating something else. finally, the so called "crystal-effect" that I was talking about it's just....well...2 words for me...In the show they get to have that effect for like....10 seconds??? we don't actually get to know what kind of effect is...if their coat becomes stiff as a crystal or it's just an appearance thing....so in doubt I decided to add just some sprinkles here and there AND then blurry out all the shade with water and random light effects that would spread around her coat, as far as I know crystals are not predictable when reflecting light so with that in mind adding the fact that her entire coat could be cristaly that would create a massive concussion of lighting effects that would just blow your mind, that might explain why the effect itself is like that in the show. I just came up with an effect similar to that wich I liked, I don't know about you guys but when I do theese kind of works I only think about stuff like Cezanne, Van Gogh and Impressionism artists, they didn't care about rules or how stuff should be made, they just did stuff like they saw it. the way I see it it's not about how close to show-accurate you want to get or how good you want it to be for others.....If I create something I want to give the people a glimpse of how I perceive what I see and how do I represent it, it's not meant to be anything...it's just the emotion that I had when I saw EP1-2 of season 3 that made me do this, just my passion that made me jump to the conclusion: "I need to do this...my way!" sorry for the long-story, I just wanted to clarify some stuff :3 so you thought the crystal effect were only the white spots??? Eenope!! XD

the skin is supposed to look like that bro, it's the crystal effect I originally shaded her like normal, then added the "crystal skin" as an effect. the background was more of a test....well sort of...I wasn't sure of what colors I could use so I went totally berserk and threw all I could think in that, again it's fun to try new stuff so I always do it, thanks for the heads-up!! and thanks for the compliments, I'm really proud of mah Twy :3

Ipod Luna from Witchcraft is best Luna some rough edges but those can be fixed in no-time, just keep practicing, man I have to practice too now that I remember XD

lmao, you should have seen my first pony drawing....still have nightmares of that beast haha!! it's really polished and well-made, for a first pony it's actually kind of impressive, most people don't realize how hard theese ponies can be to draw at times XD

guys, I just realized that I was focusing on the color and ONLY on the color this time around, so much that I totally forgot to adjust the drawing itself,, well....judging from your comments my purpose was fullfilled so it's a totall success!!! well, off to do another one tonight!! I'll post it as soon as possible!! I mean c'mon my drawings are usually like this, maybe I was truly on crack, look at those eyes!! yckes! XD
