  1. Made some minor backstory alterations to be contemporary: Name&Rank: 1st Lt. Will Fouquets (pronounced foo-k) Country: USA Primary Weapon: Springfield M1903A4 Sidearm: Colt M1911A1 Uniform: 75th Army Ranger uniform, wears a crimson sash around his waist. Personality: Focused and disciplined, Will is predisposed to being a lone wolf, rarely traveling with more than one other person acting as his spotter. This is not due to a lack of amiability though. While at first quiet around those he doesn't know, Will can be rather boisterous when with his friends. Backstory: Born in 1919 in the town of Liberty, Virginia, Will joined the United States Army at the age of 21 after graduating from college. While in training he received several commendations for his skill with a rifle, prompting him to apply for advanced training. In 1941 he graduated from Scout Sniper school and joined the 1st Battalion of the 75th Ranger Regiment. He has served in multiple conflicts, the latest of which was the Battle of Cisterna, among only 6 out of 760 who survived the attack. He has recently returned to action from recovery leave.
  2. I'm gonna go with the Bulge. I'm curious as to why you say we need a character alteration @.
  3. They're not exactly behind, but their technology does seem to be achronological. For example they clearly have advanced technology such as computers, but still use things like horse drawn plows.
  4. Have you consider combining the Allied and Axis factions? At this point we'd have the same per team, and other folks could join later. What do you guys think?
  5. You make a fair point, but it's only half true. The jobs are still here but folks don't want them. They want the easy jobs, like as you say McDonalds. Though the reason that they're disappearing in the first place is because the current administration is giving benefits to foreigners funded by the citizens, drawing more people here to work cheap or even live off of other people. Don't get me wrong I'm completely fine with people coming to America, the more the merrier; but what our current president is telling them is that they can come here and be supported by the government, which means us.
  6. The idea behind America was that you could come here and become whatever you wanted. It was assumed you were coming here to better yourself, not live on welfare.
  7. The fact that my fellow Americans hate their country and even themselves makes me sad and more than a little worried. America was and still is one of the greatest countries in history. I won't lie, things are looking grim, but that's only because people keep letting themselves be spoon-fed untruths and led about like sheep and then refuse to do anything about it. You don't know how good something is until it's gone.
  8. I'd like to apply with this character: Name&Rank: 1st Lt. Will Fouquets (pronounced foo-k) Army: USA Unit: 75th Rangers, 1st Battalion Role: Sniper Primary Weapon: Springfield M1903A4 Sidearm: Colt M1911A1 Grenades: Mk II Frag grenade, M1 Frangible Chloroform Uniform: 75th Army Ranger uniform, wears a red sash around his waist, a practice which is somewhat frowned upon by other snipers. Personality: Focused and disciplined, Will is often predisposed to being a lone wolf, rarely traveling with more than one other person acting as his spotter. He has served in multiple conflicts, the latest of which was Operation Jubilee against the German-occupied port of Dieppe, in which he was wounded by an enemy artillery shell whilst supporting the Allied advance. He has recently returned to action from recovery leave.
  9. Be back on later today. Going to see EQG!

  10. Sidon, having just finished preparing his quarters for the voyage, appeared on deck, his hood donned once more. After glancing around for a moment, he made his way over to Captain Grinn. @, "Captain." He said, stopping beside the pirate. "I've done an inventory of the ship's medical supplies. I'm pleased to tell you that we are stocked for a good three months voyage. I also took the liberty of adding some materials to the cargo as well; nothing much, just a few things which I believe will come in useful, should we happen into any...violent situations." The stallion chuckled and shook his head. "As we undoubtedly will..."
  11. Sidon, silence and solitude being his preferred companions, was currently sitting atop the highest brace on the main mast, just below the crow's nest. He sat there, contentedly munching on an apple and staring out at the moonlit sea, a cool breeze blowing pleasantly through his mane. A clack of claws from the deck drew his attention, down towards a griffon emerging from below decks. He watched as it spread it's wings and took off, swooping up towards the crow's nest, which unfortunately meant towards him. He growled, "Haven't even set underway and already I can't find a moment of peace." Biting firmly into his apple, he seized a nearby piece of rigging and slipped from his perch, silently sliding down to the deck and slipping below. The stallion was drawn to the galley by the scent of something delicious cooking. He stopped just outside, listening to the others conversing for a moment before walking in, apple still in mouth.
  12. @@PS3gamer98, "Unbreakable, an impressive claim. Your father must have been a master to create such powerful items." Sidon said, idly watching the sparring match taking place before them. He turned his attention from the battle to Captain Grinn. "As you say, we all carry burdens, some heavier than others, but none of them light. It's what we do now, and what we do with the time set ahead of us that matters."
  13. @@Windbreaker, Peaches looked around towards the voice, grinning as a familiar stallion's face came into view. "Hey Aegis!" She shouted, bringing her improvised bludgeon down on another pony's head with an audible thud. "Great party huh?" Another attacker parted with several of his teeth as he was assaulted by her gin bottle. "I thought tonight was gonna be totally boring!" A stallion with a cutie mark of a lightning bolt over his right eye was smote over the head by a mighty blow from Peaches, the bottle in her hoof shattering with the impact. "Boy was I wrong; I haven't had this much fun in ages!" She reared up her back legs, pistoning them into a mare that was attempting to stab a hoof-long shard of ice into her neck and sending her flying across the room.
  14. @@PS3gamer98, Sidon glanced at the minotaur with a raised eyebrow. "I didn't know minotaurs made a profession of smithing. My experience was that the eastern griffons made the best steel. If I may, where did you learn your trade?" @@Justin ZW, The black wolf-pony looked at Swordpoint. "You are quite a philequinist then. Offering your services to our kingdom for nothing in return?"
  15. The cloaked stallion huffed and stood up from his table, walking slowly towards the others. "I suppose hoods stopped being discreet approximately two centuries ago." He raised a hoof, pulling down his guise and revealing his fanged visage. "Then again, when it takes a master assassin to notice me, perhaps I am not as rusty as I thought." His piercing grey eyes flicked over the ponies gathered at the table. He gave a low bow, "Sidon Darkstorm, physician, among other things. I hear you're looking for a crew."
  16. At a nearby table in the corner of the tavern sat a figure, a stallion, tall and thin, shrouded in a long, black cloak. He was leaning forward slightly, his hooves held together in front of him, evidently listening with interest to the conversation taking place at the other party's table. Long ears twitched under his hood, easily picking out the group's words from the din surrounding him. His mouth curved into a slight smirk, further revealing the two sharp fangs protruding from beneath his upper lip. "What a motley crew this is turning out to be." He thought, chuckling slightly and leaning back in his chair. His attention snapped to the doorway as it opened, heralding the entrance of several ponies, three stallions who were unknown to him, and surprisingly enough, Rainbow Dash. "What in Celestia's name is she doing this far from Ponyville?" He thought quizzically. He pulled his hood closer over his face and leaned further into the dark corner to observe the exchange.
  17. Sidon howled in pain as a crossbow bolt stabbed into the flesh of his shoulder, the head sinking deep and lodging near his scapula. Peaches shouted from a nearby table. "Sidon! Are you all right?" He growled, seizing the shaft in his teeth and biting it in half. "Just peachy." Rising up on his fore-hooves he bucked a nearby chair at his attacker. The chair collided with the stallion's midsection, shattering and sending him sprawling to the floor. Misery certainly does love company, thought the wolf-pony. First the Parasentry attack, now this. He had stepped outside a moment for a private word with Peaches and re-entered only seconds before the assault had been launched. Sidon took a moment to take in his surroundings. Steel was currently cutting a bloody swath through the attackers, and Poppy was closeby Aegis, who was strangling another pony at the moment. He couldn't see Silver Heart anywhere though, which worried him. "Peaches!" Sidon shouted to his friend, who looked over at him. "Stay there, I'm coming for you!" "Yeah right! I haven't been in a bar fight in ages! You're on your own!" She gave a grin, then seized a rather heavy looking gin bottle and leaped over her table to join the fight. The stallion rolled his eyes, "No sense of urgency that one." He tore off his dinner jacket and tossed it aside. Cracking his neck to either side he sprang into action, dashing around his cover and tackling the nearest pony, one of the crossbow stallions. He snarled and latched his fangs onto the pony's throat, biting deep and severing his major arteries. ((OOC: I hope that's not too graphic. Darkstorm can get...carried away.))
  18. @@SilverHeart,@@Windbreaker, Thanks, I really appreciate it. I like this RP. ^^ Exciting to be entering at such an action filled moment too! Looks like we're going to have our hooves full.
  19. Hey guys, I'm really sorry I just disappeared. I got so far behind that I was afraid to jump in. Would it be too much to ask to re-join?
  20. Really I think that the most plausible way for DHX to preserve the lifespans of the other Mane 6 would be to incorporate the Elements of Harmony. Being the Bearers of the Elements they might be granted longevity, in order to protect Equestria. I just can't see the rest of them becoming alicorns, that would be kind of overkill. I mean, nine alicorn princesses? The phrase "this town ain't big enough" comes to mind.
  21. I have a lighter and several cans of air freshener and Axe. I'm pretty much set for monsters. Unless they have scales...in which case I have a half pound bag of flour. Home made pyrotechnics win every time.
  22. Back, after far too long.

    1. RAGESTAR

      RAGESTAR

And just in time! The rp is going to start soon!

  23. Traveling. I'll be away for the weekend so don't wait up for me.

  24. Peaches returned the gestures, shaking both their hooves in turn. "Ooh, you two are engaged? When's the wedding if I may ask? I'm a confectioner, so if you need a cake or any form of sweet created I can usually make it." Sidon sighed, setting down the bottle he was pouring from. "You are right of course. While I am not the wealthiest in this city I have more than most. T'was hypocritical of me to speak that way; pray, forgive my impropriety." Sidon brightened a bit at this. "Glad to hear it. Truth be told I usually don't either." @@evilcorgi, He looked to Marble Stripe noticing he was having some difficulty identifying his drink. "Miss Poppy is right, you should have that seen to, soon. Dummy rounds can still pack a wallop; trust me, I would know."
