  1. @@PS3gamer98, "Unbreakable, an impressive claim. Your father must have been a master to create such powerful items." Sidon said, idly watching the sparring match taking place before them. He turned his attention from the battle to Captain Grinn. "As you say, we all carry burdens, some heavier than others, but none of them light. It's what we do now, and what we do with the time set ahead of us that matters."
  2. @@Windbreaker, Peaches looked around towards the voice, grinning as a familiar stallion's face came into view. "Hey Aegis!" She shouted, bringing her improvised bludgeon down on another pony's head with an audible thud. "Great party huh?" Another attacker parted with several of his teeth as he was assaulted by her gin bottle. "I thought tonight was gonna be totally boring!" A stallion with a cutie mark of a lightning bolt over his right eye was smote over the head by a mighty blow from Peaches, the bottle in her hoof shattering with the impact. "Boy was I wrong; I haven't had this much fun in ages!" She reared up her back legs, pistoning them into a mare that was attempting to stab a hoof-long shard of ice into her neck and sending her flying across the room.
  3. @@PS3gamer98, Sidon glanced at the minotaur with a raised eyebrow. "I didn't know minotaurs made a profession of smithing. My experience was that the eastern griffons made the best steel. If I may, where did you learn your trade?" @@Justin ZW, The black wolf-pony looked at Swordpoint. "You are quite a philequinist then. Offering your services to our kingdom for nothing in return?"
  4. The cloaked stallion huffed and stood up from his table, walking slowly towards the others. "I suppose hoods stopped being discreet approximately two centuries ago." He raised a hoof, pulling down his guise and revealing his fanged visage. "Then again, when it takes a master assassin to notice me, perhaps I am not as rusty as I thought." His piercing grey eyes flicked over the ponies gathered at the table. He gave a low bow, "Sidon Darkstorm, physician, among other things. I hear you're looking for a crew."
  5. At a nearby table in the corner of the tavern sat a figure, a stallion, tall and thin, shrouded in a long, black cloak. He was leaning forward slightly, his hooves held together in front of him, evidently listening with interest to the conversation taking place at the other party's table. Long ears twitched under his hood, easily picking out the group's words from the din surrounding him. His mouth curved into a slight smirk, further revealing the two sharp fangs protruding from beneath his upper lip. "What a motley crew this is turning out to be." He thought, chuckling slightly and leaning back in his chair. His attention snapped to the doorway as it opened, heralding the entrance of several ponies, three stallions who were unknown to him, and surprisingly enough, Rainbow Dash. "What in Celestia's name is she doing this far from Ponyville?" He thought quizzically. He pulled his hood closer over his face and leaned further into the dark corner to observe the exchange.
  6. Sidon howled in pain as a crossbow bolt stabbed into the flesh of his shoulder, the head sinking deep and lodging near his scapula. Peaches shouted from a nearby table. "Sidon! Are you all right?" He growled, seizing the shaft in his teeth and biting it in half. "Just peachy." Rising up on his fore-hooves he bucked a nearby chair at his attacker. The chair collided with the stallion's midsection, shattering and sending him sprawling to the floor. Misery certainly does love company, thought the wolf-pony. First the Parasentry attack, now this. He had stepped outside a moment for a private word with Peaches and re-entered only seconds before the assault had been launched. Sidon took a moment to take in his surroundings. Steel was currently cutting a bloody swath through the attackers, and Poppy was closeby Aegis, who was strangling another pony at the moment. He couldn't see Silver Heart anywhere though, which worried him. "Peaches!" Sidon shouted to his friend, who looked over at him. "Stay there, I'm coming for you!" "Yeah right! I haven't been in a bar fight in ages! You're on your own!" She gave a grin, then seized a rather heavy looking gin bottle and leaped over her table to join the fight. The stallion rolled his eyes, "No sense of urgency that one." He tore off his dinner jacket and tossed it aside. Cracking his neck to either side he sprang into action, dashing around his cover and tackling the nearest pony, one of the crossbow stallions. He snarled and latched his fangs onto the pony's throat, biting deep and severing his major arteries. ((OOC: I hope that's not too graphic. Darkstorm can get...carried away.))
  7. Really I think that the most plausible way for DHX to preserve the lifespans of the other Mane 6 would be to incorporate the Elements of Harmony. Being the Bearers of the Elements they might be granted longevity, in order to protect Equestria. I just can't see the rest of them becoming alicorns, that would be kind of overkill. I mean, nine alicorn princesses? The phrase "this town ain't big enough" comes to mind.
  8. I have a lighter and several cans of air freshener and Axe. I'm pretty much set for monsters. Unless they have scales...in which case I have a half pound bag of flour. Home made pyrotechnics win every time.
  9. Back, after far too long.

    1. RAGESTAR

      RAGESTAR

And just in time! The rp is going to start soon!

  10. Traveling. I'll be away for the weekend so don't wait up for me.

  11. Peaches returned the gestures, shaking both their hooves in turn. "Ooh, you two are engaged? When's the wedding if I may ask? I'm a confectioner, so if you need a cake or any form of sweet created I can usually make it." Sidon sighed, setting down the bottle he was pouring from. "You are right of course. While I am not the wealthiest in this city I have more than most. T'was hypocritical of me to speak that way; pray, forgive my impropriety." Sidon brightened a bit at this. "Glad to hear it. Truth be told I usually don't either." @@evilcorgi, He looked to Marble Stripe noticing he was having some difficulty identifying his drink. "Miss Poppy is right, you should have that seen to, soon. Dummy rounds can still pack a wallop; trust me, I would know."
  12. "A pleasure Mr. Stripe. Sidon Darkstorm, engineer." He said with a polite bow. "Ah yes, this is Peaches and Cream." He gestured to the mare next to him. She smiled and waved a hoof. "Hi! Pleased to meet you all." "Oh I'm sure there are a few bottles to be found." He walked to the bar and ducked behind it, rummaging for a moment before appearing with several bottles of cider in his hooves. "Yes, here we are." @@Steel Accord, @@Windbreaker, "Would either of the lovely couples care to partake in a drink?"
  13. Finals are over! I'm gonna sleep now. For a couple days.

  14. @@Steel Accord, Sidon stopped, turning around slightly. "Don't think for a moment that you should have done anything else. I should think you would not be as great a swordsman as you are if you didn't act at the opportune moment." His voice took on a dark tone. "Galt is very reckless to deploy sentries in an inhabited area, even if they were duds." He stood deep in thought for a moment, then shook his head and smiled. "In any case it was rather amusing to see "high society" scrambling for safety. I wager we shall be hearing many a thrilling survival story before the night is out." Sidon noticed that there were still several ponies emerging from cover around the room. @@evilcorgi, @@Windbreaker, "Oi, everypony all right? Not too much salt in the eyes I hope?" He looked toward the party's new venue. "Anypony need something strong after this evening's entertainment? It's on me."
  15. "Well, that was certainly rather...interesting." Sidon commented, rising up from behind the bar and brushing some rock salt from his mane as he surveyed the restaurant. Peaches peeked up next to him, eyes wide with excitement. "That, was, awesome!" She shouted, pumping a hoof into the air with enthusiasm. He glanced at her somewhat bemusedly. "Oh yes, delightful, love a good firefight every now and again, I mean what's a ball without one." Sidon grabbed his cider from the counter, gulping down the last, albeit rather salty dregs, then hopped over the bar. He looked over to where Steel Accord and Dot were standing. @@Steel Accord, "Good show Steel, you surely turned that dull soiree into quite a party. Congratulations on your achievement by the way." He turned and walked after the other party-goers, Peaches close in tow behind him.
  16. I'll get right to the point. I absolutely love music, especially a lot of the work being produced by bronies. Music is one of the most important parts of my life, but I can't create it. I dream of being able to make music and share it with my friends and the community, I just don't know where to begin. I've started a bit by learning how to read music(still not quite there, though I'm getting the hang of it), but I don't really have a lot of money for software and I can't play an instrument(planning on taking piano soon). I need a kick in the right direction to show me what I must do first. I don't want to do this to be popular or anything, I merely wish to be a part of the thing I love so much; music is too important to me to just sit on the sidelines and listen. Thanks in advance for any help, you guys really are some of the coolest in the world. /)
  17. "Such a nice story." Sidon thought aloud absent mindedly. "Huh?" Peaches looked at him quizzically. "What story? I was talking about that smuggler." He broke out of his reverie. "Oh, didn't you..." he trailed off, realizing that he had been unintentionally eavesdropping on the other group. Not that he tried to, it just happened sometimes when his mind started to wander. It didn't help that he could practically hear a pin drop in a noisy room. "Nevermind." He turned to the bar mare. "May I have an apple cider and..." he looked to Peaches. "A peach cocktail please." She said after a moment of thought. The bar mare nodded, brought him a mug and filled it with cider, then began to mix the cocktail. "You and peaches. I think you may have a problem there." He chuckled, shaking his head. She gave him a solid punch in the shoulder in reply. He laughed again, taking a swig from his cider.
  18. @@Steel Accord, Sidon watched Marble's retreating figure for a moment, then turned back to Steel Accord, "Well thank you, hopefully this will sate her for a while, though I apologize in advance as I may need to come back for another." He smiled and gave a short bow, "Good day." He walked back over to Peaches and gave her the paper, "There." "Ooh, thank you Darkstorm!" She said, hugging him again. "You're welcome, but no more favors tonight okay Peaches, I'd rather not serve as the wedge separating an ideological argument again." He sat back down next to his friend.
  19. @@Steel Accord, ((OOC: Thanks, didn't notice so many posts had been made.)) Sidon stopped a respectful distance away, reminding himself to get some of those favors back from Peaches one day. "Pardon me," he said, attempting to make himself heard over the din, "please do forgive the intrusion, but I do not believe that my friend over there will permit me to live if I don't get your autograph for her." He gestured back at Peaches, who even now continued to stare at Steel.
  20. ((OOC: Sorry it's so long.)) Sidon sat next to his friend, a small mare named Peaches and Cream with a coat and mane befitting to her name. She was still staring at Steel Accord, now sitting at the bar. "You know if you keep staring like that your eyes are going to get stuck that way." "Mhmm..."Peaches' eyes had begun to glaze over. It was apparent she hadn't blinked for some time. He waved a hoof in front of her face to get her attention. She looked at him, slowly at first, then realized who he was and broke into a grin. "Darkstorm!" She threw her hooves around him in a hug, which he returned, slightly confused. "Now what's this for? Why the sudden affection?" He stopped suddenly and held her at arms length. Peaches smiled and pointed at Steel Accord, "Get me an autograph please." "I-wait what?" He frowned at her. "Oh no, not the favor thing again. Why are you always asking for favors?" "Because I'm not famous, you are! People listen to you." "Peaches, It's not the same kind of famous. I'm not exactly a celebrity." "Oh come on." "Our circles don't really cross. I don't even know the guy." He protested. She puffed out her lip, pouting at Sidon. "He looks like he's already having a conversation! Oh don't do the face. It doesn't work you know." "Pleeeeaaase!" He rolled his eyes, "Fine." "Yay!" She exclaimed as her friend stood and made his way over to Steel's table.
  21. Sidon was running late again; his long work had again caused him to forget that there was an event he had to attend. He almost decided not to go at all, but in the end determined that he might as well try to enjoy himself. He had done Harmony enough good to expect a little bit in return. After all, it was his creations that prevented the city from falling apart, literally. How it had managed to stay intact from the weight of the water above it was beyond him; Galt hadn't exactly invested in the most genius engineers to initially build his city. He shook the thoughts from his head as the sounds of party jabber filled his ears; several familiar voices were recognizable amidst the rabble, even though he was still quite a ways away. The perks of being a wolf pony. From a distance he could see one of the Little Fillies leaving the restaurant, a Big Brother in tow behind her. Sidon arrived at the ball in time to watch Steel Accord give some drunk Jacker a good gash and then send him packing, with gusto no less. He joined in the applause for the swordspony for a moment, then made his way over to where he knew his friend Peaches to be, at the bar...and staring at Accord unabashedly. Sidon rolled his eyes at his friend's behavior.
  22. Waiting...I hate waiting.

  23. Technically every single fanwork ever created is illegal due to copyright laws, but unless the work represents a significant financial or reputational threat a business usually will not choose to pursue legal action. A lawsuit would likely cost more than it generated, not to mention create a massive amount of bad PR. That said it never hurts to air on the safe side of the issue and not directly mention any material from the show, though I'm sure it won't hurt to reference it. The choice is yours; do more research and decide what you're comfortable doing.
