It's Monday, so time for another pairing debate thread.  This time CheesiePie.  I'm actually indifferent to this pairing.  It could be made to work, but I'm not crazy about it.  I wouldn't say "no" to seeing Cheese Sandwich again for any reason.

Pinkie doesn't seem the kind of person to take anything seriously, let alone a relationship (Not that thats a bad thing). I doubt we'd see any kind of relationship with her explored on the show. But I guess if they did, Cheese would make a sense.

Personally I don't really like Cheese Sanwich (or Weird Al for that matter).

He made Pinkie very upset, even if it taught her a lesson, that stuff is not forgivable! D: <

Also Pinkie is a serious person too. She just loves to have fun.

I would say yes.   I actually always liked this pairing.

They both have the same interests, so they could always have fun together.

Cheese seems to be a little less hyper than Pinkie, so their personalities would kind of be balanced out.

This is pretty much one of the only show ships that I actually ship, so yes, I think they'd be an adorable couple!

 

They have a lot of similarities, and a lot they can learn from each other. There's also a lot they'd need to work on together, too. Neither are very good at taking social cues from other ponies, as can be seen by how Cheese let his showboating go far enough to hurt Pinkie without realising until too late. (And with Pinkie in nearly every episode, especially as she suffers from poor writing more than any of the Mane 6.) So there's that. There's also the fact that they're both such goofballs, having a serious talk could present problems. (Though Pinkie can be serious sometimes, and Cheese is slightly more down to earth than she is.)

 

But they're both so fun-loving, they have heaps in common, and Cheese admires Pinkie immensely. I mean come on, that was obvious. The whole reason he was showing off was because he wanted to impress her. He said so himself! And Pinkie, of course, thinks Cheese is an incredible party planner, so the admiration isn't one sided. Also, while Pinkie doesn't seem like relationship material at first glance, I think that she would be very dedicated to anything which creates joy - especially a very-special-somepony.

 

I think a relationship between these two would be a very heartmeltingly sweet affair which, while it looks like shallow 'mushy stuff' on the surface, actually runs very deep. Way more so than other ponies would give either of them credit for.

 

That said, we'll never see it on the show and I'm okay with that. Ships are far better in the minds of the fans than in canon... I don't think romance has much of a place in the MLP cartoon, but it's certainly fun to speculate.

No, because although at first glance they're similar, but Cheese seems like a bit of a dick. Pinkie has parties because she genuinely likes to make others happy, Cheese seems more like he's doing it to promote his business, or because making everypony laugh is some challenge he took upon himself. Not saying that he's bad, it's just that I really wouldn't want to see Pinkie shipped with him.

I really don't think any of the mane six should get to together in cannon since the writers aren't really good with romance. \

 

However, I do think there relationship could be explored more but in a platonic (I'm not calling Cheese Sandwich a waifu stealer at all I swear! OK maybe a little.)

nah for both. i think cheese sandwich reminds me personally too much of weird al (for obvious reasons) so i just cant really see them together
