Silverwisp waited until Hurricane and Ylva had bickered their way past him, Gale's mother suspended between them. Then he went inside to help the colt gather up whatever he wanted to take along. It turned out to be precious little; a few threadbare cloaks, a helmet that had presumably belonged to his father and a small collection of pans and pots. Some closer investigation also revealed a bag half filled with turnips, which would make a nice addition for this day's dinner.

They were on their way back to the column, their every step accompanied by the clanging of cooking utensils, Gale broke the silence.

"Mr Silverwisp, sir. What will happen to me and my mom?"

"You'll stay with us until your mother is feeling better. Then I imagine you'll go Canterlot, or the lands around it. It's safe there and they need alll the hooves they can get for the fields and orchards."

"How far is it to Canterlot?"

"A fortnight, maybe a bit more."

The colt's eyes grew big. "I didn't know Equestria was so big."

SIlverwisp laughed.

"That big and bigger my boy, you'll see."

He was still laughing when they reached the road and made their way into the column.

The sun was beginning to set; soon they'd be making camp for the night.

Silverwisp fetched his lyre out of his bag and started into the first verses of Everwinding Road, a lengthy ballad detailing the journey of the Three Tribes towards their new home. After a while, the ponies marching around them started to pick up the song.

As Hurricane set Gale's mother down in the wagon, she made sure that the sick mare would be comfortable. "There" she said. "I hope that's comfortable for you." she then gave another glare at Ylva before heading out. she flew above the marching Crusaders rather silently. she observed the group silently judging their appearance and guessing what they might be contributing to the group. hurricane then spotted some action going on ahead of her and decided to check it out. She silently watched the pony with the large club talking to a blacksmith. She quietly sat perched on a nearby wagon harboring weapons. She had always been more of an observer. It was a good survival tool.

Eclipse Scribe.

@@Rokkurin,

Typical - the first sign of danger, the first real exercise of this hopeless battalion'a expertise... had turned out to be a single pony. A colt playing at being hero, if the outlandish suit of armour and comically sized weapon was any indication to judge by.

'Not to mention the archaic language, making him sound like he's jumped right out of a storybook...'

Horn glowing with a soft, purple hue, Eclipse stepped forward purposefully towards the intruder. Telekinetic energy weaved and turned before him - forming itself into thick, almost ribbon-like bands - flicking through the air. One wrapped itself tightly around the spear slung by the Captains side - bringing the pale metal of the leaf-bladed weapon to bear in a fluid, practiced motion.

"This is business of the crown: by the will of the sisters, this land is hereby freed of the tyrants rule."

It was a speech he had memorised: he couldn't count on anyone else to remain official after all. A killjoy, he might be considered by some... They had a mission though, and an armed presence had been deemed necessary. It wasn't his place to doubt the night mares will.

"Chaos and anarchy are to give way to a new age of love and benevolence. As the armoured hoof of the sisters, we come to cleanse Equestria of those that would deny such peace."

Never quite forgotten.

"Interesting," Golden said considering the bird on the stallion's shoulder and hoping the pony knew how to put him to use. A phoenix has many talents, he has seen such with Princess Celestia's own mischievous companion. The captain continues saying, "I will keep that in mind recruit, you may go on your way for the moment. Unless you have more you would like to talk about, training is in the evening."

@@Rokkurin

Turning back to the one coming out from the forest, annoyed that it was only a pony in what seemed a bit cumbersome armour and speaking in an odd way. Golden sighed an rolled his eyes a bit as the pony put down his weapon and stepped away from it before telling the stallion, "Pick up your weapon, you are only one pony. No need to prove to use your not a threat." His words suggesting that once he had seen the pony the pegasus was no longer concerned of him being a threat before asking, "What is your name and what are you doing here?"

@

On hearing the Lunar guard captain speak Golden would nod before adding words of his own, turning to gaze to scan that of the ponies gathered before saying in a voice that carried to all near, "No longer a heart left uncertain, no longer a life in chaos. The light of the sun and moon will fall on this land and protect all ponies who call Equestria home. Remember and give thanks."

The golden colored stallion went over to pick up his weapon and strap to it back onto his back, "My name is Guardian Angel. I have traveled from my home to better myself in order to protect the ones that I hold dear. I have heard rumors of a Crusade that was supposedly to pass near this place. On my way in search, I got lost in the woods and decided what better way to train than knocking down a few trees for lumber."

Ah... a song! And one he knew, too. Thank goodness for that bard- morale was always a good thing to keep in mind, especially on long marches. Especially his morale. He definately wasn't made for this marching. Smiling sweetly and humming along, he noticed that several of the younger mages, about twelve bars in, began singing among themselves as though apart from the group. He would have to talk to them after they stopped. They might be apart, but they had to be together. He wasn't able to run fast enough for long enough to make any forward progress against the marching warriors. He was a mage, not an athlete, albeit at times he was tempted to use a polymorph spell to give himself more strength to keep up easier, but his want of conversation of his energy won out everytime.

After a few moments, he found himself slowing down his march ever-so-slightly, returning to regular speed a few steps to the left of the bard. After humming the next verse to himself quietly, he looked at the somewhat ragged bard and smiled. "Ah, music. One of the biggest partitions of the soul of the land." As the song continued the next couple of verses, he tried to make casual conversation with the bard. "Do you plan on making these glorious adventures into your own epic?"

Starforged smirked lightly before sighing. "So... Trench Club, hmm? My name is Starforged. Starforged Steel. Pleased to make your acquaintance." He offered his hoof towards the mercenary, still wary, but slightly curious. He wasn't certain if this pony was telling the truth, but this Trench Club certainly intrigued him.

Hurricane quickly grew tired of watching ponies talking to each other. She then decided to check out the weapon in the wagon she was perched on top of. She found many things like large battle axes, strong swords, maces, and everything in between. even things she hadn't seen before. Then something caught her eye. It was hiding behind a bow and a quiver of arrows. It was an old strip of leather with spikes going down one side of it. She carefully dragged it out and examined it, but couldn't figure out what it was used for. Hurricane kept thinking, then had a brilliant idea. She looked around for smaller strips of leather. She took the large spikey leather and lined it on the outer, boney part of her wing and tied to her wing with the smaller leather pieces. With some adjustments to make sure she wouldn't stab herself when she folded her wings, her wings had become a weapon with spikes running all along the outer side. she stretched them in out and admired her work and creativity. "Hurricane, your a genius." she said to herself. She flew out of the wagon and flew around testing out her new invention.

@,

Oh sweet Luna, one of the crazies.

SIlverwisp didn’t have anything against mages per se; good ponies, great contribution to the Crusade and whatnot.

But he could not wrap his mind around how a gifted unicorn would take a look at the intricate balance of elements making up reality and feel the urge to do the magical equivalent of poking it with a stick to see what happened.

“Eventually. Provided I don’t get eaten by anything first.”

He had to raise his voice to make himself heard over the clanging of the cooking pots.

“Oh, ehm. Allow me.”

Before Silverwisp could so much as open his mouth, the mage had lid up his horn and suddenly the clanging was…gone.

“Silencing spell. Very useful, no? We have a roomsized version in our library. Our librarian says it’s the only thing that keeps her from throwing students out of the window.”

“Fascinating”, Silverwisp mumbled, staring at the silently bouncing kitchen utensils. “It doesn’t cause things to explode, does it?”

“Almost never.”

“Oh goodie.”

Somewhere in front of them a horn sounded, signaling the end of the day’s march.

Hurricane heard the horn and decided that it was time to rest. She flew up into the sky and found a nice, soft puff of cloud and decided she would sleep there that night. She again marveled at her self made weapon strapped on her wings. As she make herself comfortable, she realized that she didn't know many of the ponies in the crusade. Could she trust them? Would they even care that she's there? She is so used to ponies wanting nothing to do with her. "I'll show them what I can do." she thought to herself. "They'll see that I'm worth something and that I have skills to too."  She lied on her back and stared up into the orange sky watching night sneak it's way up the hill to cover the land in calm, quiet darkness.

Her stomach then snapped her out of her thoughts. It rumbled telling her that she was definitely hungry. She hadn't eaten all day. She thought back to the town that they had just past. She remembered seeing a small market there. She could easily swipe an apple or a loaf of bread without anypony knowing she was there. Hurricane looked behind her to see how far the town was. It was within flying distance. She could easily go there and come back with out anypony noticing. Then she remembered how Silverwisp said that stealing was frowned upon in this crusade and she hesitated a bit. However, she wasn't technically part of the Crusade. She had just found her loophole.

@@Rokkurin,@@EquestrianScholar, @, Terra noded in understanding of Golden Dawn's words. He looked around and was happy to be surrounded by valorous ponies. Golden Dawn

@@Rokkurin@, @

The pegasus captain nodded, finding the name Guardian Angel to be a surprising name as angel was not a common word in Equestrian, but Golden did hope that the pony would live up to such a name. Continuing he would say, "well then, you may if you wish choose to either join the Crusade so as to better yourself but as warning... our path is not an easy one, as it takes dedication and sacrifice."

Hearing Terran speak of strength in numbers and Guardian on safety in keeping his armour on Golden would say in though, "it is through standing together and never allowing the armour that protects us to be lost that we may overcome all that enmies of light may throw at us. There is wisdom in not taking off what protects you when such is not needed."

@,

Seeing a badly injured pony, seemingly without proper food and in need Golden opened his wings so as to fly quickly so as to help the unicorn. Landing he would maneuver himself against the unicorn to offer support as they walk towards camp, "Of course you may have food and water. What ever happened for you to be in such a state as this?" Getting a closer look the pegasus believed that the pony had perhaps not eaten in a few days, and there was a bandage covering his flank and cutiemark. This, the captain believe was the cause of the pony's limp and slow walk towards them.

Being given support, Lit allowed himself to let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. As he walked towards the encampment, he spoke. "Thank you... i don't know how long iv'e been wandering, on my own, scavenging. You could say i'm sort of a vagabond.. Lit Fuse's the name." Pause. The unicorn attempted at proper introduction with a cordial bow, rigidly lowering himself in awe and respect, moved by the hospitality. Sweat trickled down his neck as he struggled to maintain balance.

@,

"Careful now, I would say your about to fall over if your not careful," Golden said in warning as the unicorn named Lit Fuse moved to bow to the captain and offer up his respect which would lead the pegasus to add, "also please, no need to bow. Save that for the blessed Sisters if you have the honor to meet them." The light golden stallion was fine with a salute, as that was proper given his rank, but not bowing. That he felt should be reserved for royalty, which he was not.

Calling to a solider nearby he would say in a deep, commanding, tone, "bring this pony food and medical attention!" With such he would gesture for the pony to sit once they were in camp with the words, "rest your hooves and allow us to help you."

Compliantly following his would-be savior's directions, the Unicorn, while taking note of the company he found himself among, dropped down in a seemingly empty spot. Maybe he dropped too hard, as the landing delivered pain through his rump and hindquarters. With a slightly audible "Oof!" he realized just how exhausted he was.

@@Rokkurin,  Terra smiled having found another "singing" to his cause... their company was growing and it was a most joyous moment of a big journey! Surely there might be trouble but for all he knew it would be worth it if they could restore Equestria to it's former glory.

@@EquestrianScholar, Hearing Golden's words Terra noded once again in approval "Aye i agree." It was not too long after that a new pony arrived requesting their aid. The unicorn was clearly tired and Terra proceeded to aid him. Opening his backpack he took out a pouch of water and gave it to the unicorn.

@"Mr Lit Fuse Right? Here... drink this... It's special water mixed with a few phoenix tears... if you happen to have any internal bleeding or such it'll help you... Now i don't know much about medicine but i learned first aid and lots others after i cracked my head. If you sit down i am going to inspect you to see if you're alright." He looked at his emergency supplies and found there what he was seeking. It was round brown shaped, and smelled a bit like chocolate. He proceeded to show it to the unicorn.

"My name is Terra Lionmane... and this is a multi-nutritional cookie. In emergencies like this it will feed you quick and give you the energy to recover a bit quicker." Terra might not have been an actual doctor but having sustained severe injuries in the past he was now ready for anything. Inside his backpack he held emergency supplies that could last a few days should he trek the wrong way and a first aid kit with disinfectant. Fenix himself had helped enhance the water in his pouch with the healing abilities of his tears and now he was watching by his shoulder smilling as it was put into good use.
