((OOC: Ok seriously, I do not want to have Steel keep repeating reasons over and over and over again. I want to keep this moving, so please accept this and move on. And Blaze... stop making your character forcing mine to leave the group; yours isn't the leader, and it's getting really repetitive...))

 

Steel sighed. "I'm sure most of you saw what happened a few minutes ago. I have no reason to kill you; I was only acting on orders. Other than that, I barely know any of you, so what reason would I have? You must learn to relax; I'm sure most of you were strangers before, and now you seem to get along just fine. It's fine if you don't want to trust me. But I'm staying. And I'm asking to do so either." He looked at Blaze.

@, Clover wasn't very comfortable with Blaze; despite what Lightning thought, Clover had believed her friend. She just didn't want to turn Steel away, after he had bared his soul and shown himself willing to make friends.

 

"Perhaps if I perform a truth spell on you," she said. "If you're telling the truth, you will be surrounded with a golden glow. If what you're saying is false, the glow will be red. It seems as tho it would be the best way of proving that you mean what you say. If you refuse, the uncertainness will always be there to drive a wedge."

"I can't believe you all are even debating this? This is the pony who just tried to murder us because he was following orders? That isn't right, and it doesn't make any sense to me." Blaze moved out of Steel Tempests way,

'The sooner they got rid of this invader, the sooner his plans could go back into action. Lightning Bliss was still weak, the poison he gave her seemed to work, she was basically useless, it needed to stay like that.'

Steel looked at Clover confusingly. The thought of a truth spell seemed strange to him, but he disregarded it.

 

"Very well," he said. "If that's what it will take, then I accept." He laid his blade aside and sat down. "However... don't ask anything too personal, alright?"

@,Clover performed the spell. Immediately, a neutral grey aura surrounded Steel; it would change colour accordingly whenever somepony asked him a question. Clover started off with, "Are you telling the truth when you say that you mean us no harm and wish only to join with us?"

Steel nodded. "Yes. I do not mean any harm now, I only wish to join you so that I may find Royal Flush and put an end to him." He thought about what Royal had did to him. He never should have trusted the card shark. The aura around him began to glow, and he began to wonder if this would actually convince the others that he was telling the truth.

[Lightning Bliss 1,674]

Bliss sat up after a moment of crying, and went to the dressing mirror. She sat down on the sea shell inspired stool and looked at her reflection. Her eyes were heavy from adrillien, near death experience, the sore bat to the head, and now her own color seemed faded thanks to whatever was keeping her magic at bay.

 

She could feel it fighting for release...fighting to be notice, like a tiger trapped in a cage.

 

"This is more painful then I could ever imagine...it's...it's like a part of me is trapped...Begging to be left out...And Equestria...I can almost feel the disbalance happening around me without it... My own soul is uneasy and without peace even..."

 

She groaned and placed her hooves on the dress and sobbed into them. A part of her wanted to go out and confront the others again, but a risk of betting swatted unconcious, or shuued away for thinking 'nonsense' kept her from such options. More then anything she wanted somepony to just...believe her.

"You really think their is something wrong with me don't you?" Blaze said entering her room while she was crying. "I know not why you think this, but I will not bother to peruade you otherwise. You know Lightning Bliss.... Consider yourself lucky, whoever siphoned your magic, took it easy on you."

Her body and anger seemed to take over her train of thought as Blaze bursted in to her room.

 

"How dare you..." She snorted and turned on him, ready for anything, "it's one thing for you to belittle me...demon... and make me feel helpless to do anything to stop you...but dont you dare pretend that what I know isn't true!" She hopped up her stool and stomped right up to him. "The fact your gloating over the matter that my magic has been 'detained' for the moment just prooves my point. The real Blaze I met would care what happened to a fellow alicorn..."

 

"Where is Blaze? What have you done with him? I want to speak to him! Not you!" She stomped in front of him, making one of her hooves gush out with blood once more. "If you won't let me speak to him, then get out of my room...Or i'll make you by mustang pony force if I have to..."

[Hurricane 159]

Hurricane heard a commotion from Lightning Bliss's room and rushed over to see what was going on. Hurricane notice a very angry Lightning Bliss and Blaze who she seemed to focusing her anger on. "What happened now?" Hurricane complained. "Isn't one fight enough for one night?" She was tired and really didn't want to deal with another fight.

After Lightning Bliss had jumped off him, and rushed up the stairs, Everlast made his way back down and picked up his equipment.He then walked slowly back up the stairs, made his way to his table, sunk his head into his hooves, and groaned. She thinks I'm against her now. NO, it isn't that i don't believe her, I've seen it too. But I only see one option of approach, and I cannot run the risk of destroying a mind already under attack. Without my magic, even had I wanted to I couldn't. 

 

He heard Blaze enter her room, and was going to ignore it and let Hurricane take care of it, but rose when he heard Blaze mention being lucky the poison didn't do worse.

"To gloat over a victory, bane of every evil." Everlast joined Hurricane in the doorway "Truly I wasn't sure if this poison was you, I had hoped not. But now I am sure it was. That is a crime you will be made to pay for. But that brings me to a problem. Any punishment meted out on that body won't hurt you, will it? You, malignant spirit, will simply withdraw, and hide behind the true Blaze. That fact brings yet another problem. You can hurt us, but I am going to be unwilling to hurt you. However, If you planned to hurt us, you would have by now. Rather, you continue to tag along, keeping us alive. This means you too are after the power at the end of this adventure, aren't you?"

@, Clover looked at the aura, which was glowing gold. "What you say, is the truth," she said. "This spell cannot be fooled. A second question, but this is about Blaze. Would it be possible for Blaze to be helped? You see, I believe my friend Lightning when she says that Blaze hurt her, but I don't think that it's the alicorn I know. It sounds to me like an evil personality; I've encountered one of those before. The mare I encountered was helped in the end, but can Blaze be helped? And soon, before he hurts anypony else."

"Heh" Blaze grinned, "Lightning Bliss was getting too curious...."

Blaze turned to face her with glaring eyes, "A simple herb planted under her nose....but it didn't have to take mercy on you, a different mixture, a stronger reagent, I could've had you gasping for breathe and bleeding from your eyes. I want you to remeber that Lightning, I could've murdered you, and who would remeber the Princess of Peace? Her valiant efforts to bring calmness to the land? Or her stubbornness to realize Peace is not what Equestria needs. If and when War strikes Equestria, what will you do?..."

 

"I don't fathom why Blaze bothers with any of you, he grumbles about you all non stop, you're abilities to cope with each other, and your uniqueness. Especially you Pegasus, Hurricane, the arrogant flight pony.... Stay out of my way...." Blaze dashed toward Everlast and swiped his book bag with all his information on Starswirl, "The rest I will find myself..." Blazes horn started glowing and he began backing up towards the window of the room.

Bliss growled holding back her tears of the so mocking entity that was within Blaze's body.

 

His words were painful and struck at the soure of her purpose in this world. But now wasn't the time to feel pain physically or mentally, the entity of Blaze, grabbed Everlast's books and looked like he was readying to teleport.

 

"STOP HIM!" She whinnied and dashed, extending her wings out and crashed into the bigger stallion alicorn. She grabbed hold of the book strap he snatched away from Everlast and viciously began to pull back, "I won't let you...do this!" She firmly held her grasp and darted eyes between Everlast and Hurricane, "Help would be good now!"

Steel was about to answer, but his acute hearing picked up something: Lightning Bliss yelling. He immediatley picked up his blade, and made himself ready.

 

"I think you'll find your answer back in the hotel room," he said, flying up to it. Raze and Quickdraw grabbed their weapons, and made their way up to the room as well.

 

Steel Tempest flew through the broken window, sliding to a halt in front of Lightning Bliss and putting himself between her and Blaze with a hoof on his blade, ready for whatever came next.

Blaze growled at Lightning Bliss, he couldn't leave with her.....or could he? She was weak and her magic powers stifled. Blaze grinned and his horn shined brighter. He performed an old spell that let out a giant flare that blinded everyone in the room, and then proceeded into another spell and teleported them both onto a different rooftop.

Steel reacted at the last minute, creating a wall of wind with his wings. When the flare dimmed down, both Blaze and Lightning were gone. He quickly flew out the room, and began to scan the outside of the building, looking for where they could've gone. Finally, he spotted them on the roof. He zipped towards them, and, taking out his blade, dropped a few feet behind Blaze. 

 

"Aseryo!" he shouted, swinging his sword and creating a strong whirlwind with the swing that headed towards Blaze.

Blaze spotted the Stallion flying toward him on the roof, 'I need Lightning by herself if I can hope to handle her by myself, but my spell is not yet ready again. I'll have to hold him off'

Blaze rolled away from the whirlwind and brought out his sword, his eyes started flowing red. He took his sword let fire fly off the sword in a chain form towards Steel Tempest.

Bliss was blinded by the flare, unable to jump out of the way sensing that Blaze was about to risk teleporting himself along with her in his magical escape. Once she reopened her eyes, she found herself still clinging to the book bag. The strap had been torn clean off thanks to hanging on so tight. To her surprise though she realized they weren't alone, Steel managed to find them with realtive ease.

 

We must not have teleported far...She looked down over the edge of the building and realized quickly they were on the hotel rooftop. She could see the shattered glass on the balcony of the Penthouse clear as day. She then darted her gaze back to the two stallions. Both had pulled out their swords, locked in a duel like stance. What now Bliss? What do you do now? She thought hard.

 

"Why would Blaze risk bringing me out here...he could have teleported himself with the books couldn't he?" She whispered to herself as she clutched the book bag. "No...that isn't Blaze...that...whatever spirit within him is the culprit...and whatever he's doing here...he wants the magic secrets of what Star Swirl the Bearded was after...I have to get the books back to the others without being spotted!"

 

While the two stallions seemed distracted, she quietly as possible, fluttered up into the sky and slowly hovered towards the edge of the roof.

 

"Please don't let him spot me Luna..." she gulped as she made it over the edge and estimated how far she needed to decsend down to the balcony.

Blaze couldn't lose sight of his goal right now, he had to grab Lightning and leave, the spell was almost ready. He turned his head to face her and saw her flying off in the air with the book bag. He stabbed his sword into the concrete and created a fiery dome over Lightning and him. "You're not going anywhere Princess."

Hurricane didn't have time to process everything that happened. She understand what was happening with Blaze. "Lightning was right." she said quietly o herself. She didn't time to think about it anymore. She followed Steel and dashed to where the fight was happening. She spotted a large dome and saw figures of who seemed to be Lightning Bliss and Blaze inside. Hurricane rushed into the dome and braced herself for a fight to get in.

Blaze's quick theft and subsequent ponynapping of the princess left Everlast in shock. It wasn't until everyone around him had already cleared the room that he began to move again. He followed them out, then stopped at the edge of the broken glass as they all flew out the window. Am I the only one here who can't fly? He heard a commotion on the roof and turned around. What is the point of teleporting such a short distance? What is the point of taking the princess? He ran out of the suite and up the stairs, to the roof access. Most of the party was already caught up in the action. He watched the others prepare to attack blaze as he put up a magic dome. The final judgment, can he be saved before he gets killed? If he is not separated from that controlling spirit soon... He recoiled at the thought of the last time he had attempted to split a mind. No we try a different approach. If Blaze is still alive inside that body, if he has even the slightest bit of power, he could take back control. He ran and stood at the edge of the shield. If this doesn't work, I just put myself in front of every blade...

"BLAZE! YOU WEAK SOUL! GIVING UP TO THIS MONSTROSITY CORRUPTING YOUR FORM! SHOW US YOU STILL HAVE SO FIGHTING SPIRIT LEFT!

"I'm not feeble!" Hurricane yelled as she charged at Blaze. She pulled out was about to pull out her dagger before she realized she could hurt Blaze. "Get out of my friend you coward!" she yelled before sweeping underneath Blaze's legs. Hurricane looked him dead in the eyes. "You can't overpower us." she said with a fierce look.

"Overpower? No, I plan to pick you off all one by one, and if I have to starting with you.... A blue flame wall appeared between Blaze and Hurricane. He disappeared above her, with his sword hovering next to him.

'She's hesitating, she believes Blaze is still in the confinements of his mind. Let her think whatever she wants.' Blaze sent his sword flyif down at Hurricane.
