Who.would emerge victorious in a magic battle. Twilight Sparkle or Harry Potter?

It would be a very close match but Twilight might pull it off in the end. Because Potter has to actually say the spell, it takes up time.

Well harry can't really fly without his broom stick, and we haven't seen Harry shoot DBZ laser beams, and throw people into mountains. But if he catches Twilight off guard, and uses the killing curse its over for her. Not to mention HP magic seems to be a lot more flexible and varied than FiM magic.

Well in a stand off type battle, Twilight wins because she can fly naturally, and she can launch spirit bombs. But if Harry got the drop on her, and used the killing curse while she was distracted/didn't have magical protection then he'd win.

I think people are forgetting that Twilight was only dishing out that much damage because she had the combined magic of all the princesses. She's powerful on her own, but I don't think she can throw out kamehamehas as regularly.

 

That said, Harry's signature spells are a disarming spell and a spell that only works on dementors, which would both be useless on Twilight. Unless he used one of the unforgivable curses (which I doubt he would) there isn't a whole lot he can do against her.

 

So, I think Twilight would come out on top. Really though, I think the two would get along nicely.

I'm not sure.  Harry isn't the very best with spells, I think this would be a better match up with Hermoine and Twilight.  But all that would have to happen is Harry's wand gets knocked out of his hand he's powerless.  I think Twilight could beat him.

As well as the time disadvantage harry has from speaking out the spells and if his wand is lost or breaks he is defenceless...
