Rarity Paige Belle 1,854 June 19, 2014 Share June 19, 2014 Believe it or not, My Little Pony and Disney have had history together. For a long time, MLP was shown on the Disney channel, and in the previous generations there were crossover toys! So, should they be another crossover? 1 Beautiful, Stylish, Fabulous AND evil! BionicBrony 385 June 19, 2014 Share June 19, 2014 The thing with larger corporations and businesses is whatever the majority says will go. For example, if everyone hated Applejack (I'm using an example, this isn't true!), they'd probably get rid of her by saying she's 'moving away' or 'no longer with us'. The other thign to be noted is how vague you're being. What crossover? Scootalove 10,692 June 19, 2014 Share June 19, 2014 It depends on the crossover. Since they did a toy crossover, hopefully they do a crossover again, not a toy crossover this time. Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules

Shanks 10,817 June 19, 2014 Share June 19, 2014 Disney is pretty much turning nearly everything it touches these days to shit so no thank you. To their credit they are letting Marvel do their thing, the whole "expanded universe is no longer cannon" thing for Star Wars is a dick move but it is uncertain as to whether or not they will screw up Star Wars but almost everything else they have done lately has been a disaster. 2 Rarity Get's Cockroaches

You just described the 2 major Franchises they have taken recently. What else have they done recently that was so bad? I mean Frozen was pretty good. Don't really know what else has been done.

Shanks 10,817 June 19, 2014 Share June 19, 2014 Out of curiosity, what are some of the things Disney touched that has turned "to shit"? They barely release any good movies these days, every now and then they will bring out a hit like Frozen but for the most part it is crap which is rather sad because the 90's was some of their best stuff. The Disney Channel used to have a lot of great shows but almost everything they have on their are the teen shows which are dominated by bland Mary Sue/Gary Stu characters. 1 Rarity Get's Cockroaches

Well yeah, but every network has it's bad shows. We also get stuff like Wander Over Yonder and Gravity Falls that I think more than make up for that. Besides, like you said Frozen was a hit and they've been doing well with Marvel so I guess I'm still having trouble seeing how "Disney is pretty much turning nearly everything it touches these days to shit" :\ Check out my YouTube Let's Play Channel! Banul 3,831 June 19, 2014 Share June 19, 2014 (edited) I like Disney for the most part, but I think I'd prefer there not being a crossover. (Unless you're just talking about toys. I'd be okay with that). Some crossovers work, but I'm just not feeling it. It would be too Goofy. Edited June 19, 2014 by Banul

But I suppose that is a topic for another day. Rarity Get's Cockroaches
Fhaolan 4,494 June 19, 2014 Share June 19, 2014 Actually, there's another connection. The MLP G1 cartoon was actually produced by Marvel under a contract that included Transformers and G.I. Joe. Eventually Hasbro started talking to the animation studio directly instead of going through Marvel (change from My Little Pony 'n Friends to My Little Pony Tales). Disney now owns Marvel, and I bet you the reason it's taken this long to get the My Little Pony 'n Friends on DVD/Blue-Ray is because of some hold-over with Marvel's rights over the series. Which are now Disney's rights.

Pinkamena-Pills 6,840 June 19, 2014 Share June 19, 2014 I rather not see a mlp/Disney crossover of any kind, tho only thing that would pique my interest is a MLP meets The Avenger's crossover, and honestly im not even sure how that would even work... In the end,no,i would love keep Disney as far away from mlp as possible now regardless of their history. Oatmeal, are you crazy?! "Silly, you are already under my control."- Pinkie Pie Signature made by me, because resistance truly is futile, silly. Currently still undergoing maintenance. Yes, i can do that, im a program, silly.

Fhaolan 4,494 June 19, 2014 Share June 19, 2014 Interesting. I know there was *some* kind of weird deal with international distributions of the various Marvel-produced cartoons (MLP, Transformers, etc.), but I don't know anything beyond that.
