Does Discord spy on the Mane 6?

Is Discord spying on the Mane 6? Because he seems to know everything thats going on with them. I personally think he is annoying and just really creepy.

Well duh he spys on them!!!! I love discord. really hope him and flutters end up together hahahaha.

I don't think he necessarily (always) actively spies on them specifically, but perhaps his magic allows him to spy on everyone and everything at the same time; at least to some extent. Given he's basically based on Q from Star Trek: The Next Generation, this is my guess for a canon explanation.

He probably spies on them to boost his own trolling potential. Hes gotta know what buttons to push on them. Even if he IS their friend now, at the end of the day Discord will be Discord.

I suppose spying would be an easier method for Discord to gain information about the ponies than simply going and talking to them. He knows too much about them for it to be anything else.

Either that, or he's nigh-omniscient...which I still wouldn't doubt, really.
