Dresden could hear the sound of a waterfall; he had to find Whisper and Finn and fast! Dresden closed his eyes and tried to focus the best he could, if he can summon water...maybe he can control surrounding water he never tried it before and now seems like a good time to try! He tapped into his magic and tried to have the current push him faster then the other currents, Common, common this has to work this has to-oh I think it is! Dresden could feel himself going faster, Dresden used the current to push himself above water where he looked around to see if he can locate the two.

Indicus decided to go to the waterfalls shore to humor himself and see the dead bodies for himself, or if they were lucky they would be alive and coughing but that only happens in the cheesy romance novels that he avoided like the plague, and generic hero saves princess stories.

Helena bobbed along with the current, not sure how her body from the neck down was doing. Her body from the neck down had become numb from the freezing temperature of the water. She felt her head being jerked about so her body must have been hitting rocks as she went along the current. As her head bobbed up and down, she saw a couple of others from the group bobbing down the river as well.

Zaddion was far too fatigued to even have a chance of keeping himself upright all the way. The scars on his arms and mental strain were almost nothing when compared to the bone-shattering strike he received in his abdomen at the hands of the Iron Maiden. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad to die here, he most certainly didn't seem to have the choice.

So, the once defiant Mage was left to flow down the river, any attempts to keep himself at least upright usually failed after a few moments and he could feel his concious slipping. 'You had to join the expedition didn't you? You just had to trade your peaceful life of Magick for curiosity's sake...'

"Q'sal, a singular, labyrinthine mind composed of a billion conflicting, paradoxical wills. Have you ever seen the swirling Aetherstorms in it's atmosphere? Smelled the shifting perfumes of intrigue upon it's people? Tasted the gluttonous banquets of ambition permeating from the Sorcerer-Technocrats? Heard the exquisite lies and thoughts of an unknowable population? No Slaaneshi pleasure I have indulged in comes close to that feeling, only in the embrace of Apotheosis could one aspire to find anything greater."

Dresden crashed into Whisper before they fell over the edge of the waterfall into the mist below. Zaddion had landed near Tulla and in the frenzy she grabbed him. She could see Tugg swimming his best against the current but they were all tumbled down the waterfall as well. Helena followed suit soon after; colliding with Tuggs hide on the way down.

She stood and then turned to face Adrass and Flinch. The towering figure ran forward; blades in each hand. She swiped across his blades with her own; causing sparks to fly between them while aiming a jab at his abdomen with the other. Her attack missed and she spun to the side; flinging a dagger at Flinch in the same motion.

Indicus walked up to the shore near the water fall and spotted a few heads bobbing down the river, he waited till they got closer and then pulled them ashore one by one before they could pass him, even the princess was pulled ashore. Like her or not he still had a contract to fulfill.

(this is ten or twenty minutes later after they drop down the waterfall)

Helena cried out as she hit some tough hide on her way down the waterfall. She didn't even have time to draw breath before she hit the water below after banging onto the guard's Chimera. When someone pulled her ashore, she just simply laid there, drawing rattling breaths as she tried to get oxygen into her lungs.

The princess coughed heavily and kept Finn clasped to her chest. Her dress was torn and most of it burnt away by her friends fire; she shivered and groaned as the bruises across her body slowly began to disappear. Tulla hacked up water; turning Helena -who was next to her- onto her front so she wouldn't choke. Tugg shook himself; spraying water everywhere before going over to check on his master.

Adrass.

Adrass felt the impact of the strike jar his arms immediately: staggering back a step and feeling the ground shift beneath him. He glared out from under the hood, barely bringing the shortsword up again to parry the attack in time. Flames licked at his sleeves as the sparks were sent flying after the blade that was wrenched from his hand, clattering uselessly over the edge still shining brightly.

The hood had fallen - it hadn't taken long for it to do so, considering it was a staple of the hunters. There was something ominous about it - a sign.

His bones shook from the strain of continued use - his muscles already dangerously close to shutting down. He had been fighting for too long already, and while It was nothing new for a hunter to go without rest, such an impact... such raw power from a single strike had been far beyond anything he had anticipated.

The smell of burning perfume roused his senses - his eyes glazed over as he whirled the blade in a circular motion, the point rising over his head, behind him and back up to his front as the Witch assaulted the doctor. Pushing forward, he lunged forward - intending to gouge her through the back and stomach, but in truth aiming more towards her shoulder due to his fatigue.

Never quite forgotten.

Helena coughed heavily when she was turned onto her back. As she coughed, water came spewing out of her mouth. She sat up automatically and kept coughing until there wasn't any more water in her lungs. Even then she coughed a bit more. She cried out in as the pain her arm had increased two fold due to all the bumping around in the current. Not to mention banging into the Chimera on the way down. Helena fell back down onto her back as she clutched her arm and gritted her teeth in pain.

Indicus looked at the woman's wound and winced, he got out one of his enchanted bandages out. The best thing about them was that they numbed the applied area and increased the healing rate as well, so were very good when not any where near a proper doctor, but they were expensive and sold only in major cities. He wrapped the woman's wound with the bandage letting the self adhesive cloth keep it together around her bicep. Indicus checked his ever dwindling supply of them and knew he still had a few but needed to restock soon.

Dresden sat up and looked around, Indicus was looking over Helena who had a nasty wound on her arm. Dresden looked down at the two pieces of shrapnel in his shoulders; with great effort Dresden grasp his hand over one piece and pulled with all his might until it came out. Dresden reached over to grab the other and pulled on it as well. "Argh, they wern't kidding when they said the Iron Maiden could control metal."

Once Indicus finished wrapping the Woman's arm up he payed attention to the one who just pulled shrapnel out of his arm. Taking the last of the enchanted bandages he wrapped up the young mage's arm as well. "There that should get rid of the pain and prevent infection."

Helena breathed slowly so that she could try to fight the pain but when some sort of cloth was applied to he wound, the pain ebbed away to a dull throb. She unclenched her teeth and opened her eyes slowly. Looking down at her right arm, she saw that there was some sort lf bandage around it. Helena sat up slowly and immediately untied her cloak and put it on, gingerly putting most of the cloth around her right arm. She looked up and saw the cloaked figure from before helping with medical stuff.

"You! Cloaked guy. Thanks for this." Helena told him once she got enough strength back to speak properly.

@ Indicus looked at the woman that shouted her thanks, and walked over to her. "Your welcome, my names Indicus. I'm just the guild member that was sent by the Illian royalty to help guard the princess." I said royalty and princess with a distaste "Anyway I never got your name."

Helena looked up at him and muttered his name a few times. "Indicus ...  in dic us ... Huh. Hmm. I did say I would give this group the only exception of knowing my name ...." Helena muttered to herself quietly so that only she could hear. But still ... even though this Indicus helped heal her wound, she would still have to tread carefully. "I only give my name to those I trust." She said calmly. She does trust this group, just not this particular person.

"Fair enough." I replied knowing I really did little to earn anyone's trust in this group and she probably had one hell of a reason to hide her name, I never cared, but that is only because I lost my parents and have no family or friends, hell I expected to die killing those bandits, so if someone wanted me dead they could try but while I a job I refuse to die.

The blade slipped between the safety of her armor; shining through the otherside. Adrass did not feel the familiar resistance of steel through flesh and bone; his sword remained untouched of any blood. She brought her arm up quickly dislodging the sword; hitting him in the side of his jaw with her forearm.

Tulla stood wearily, taking a few steps before falling on her knees and coughing. The water had beaten her so bad her bones were hurting; possibly a broken bone. But her body was so cold she really couldn't tell.

"We...we need to make camp...I...we can't go on like this..." she struggled to say between breaths.

Helena went to stand up but she fell back down again when she felt searing pain in her legs. 'Crap. I think I suffered a few broken bones during that rapid ride. I was too busy concentrating on my arm to notice.' Helena thought grimly. "Indicus ... I think you're the only one that can ... get the wood." Helena panted between breaths as she tried to fight the pain in her legs. She sat up but her legs in their current posiion in order to avoid the pain of moving them even a little bit. Serafinno's body had cooled considerably, though steam still rose from his scales as the water evaporated from them. However even though his body temperature had lowered and was returning to normal he had suffered too much internal damage. The young dragon was not breathing as the intensity of his flame had overcome his lungs fire resistance and they were now filling with fluids. All throughout his body's organs were similarly damaged. He just laid there in Whisper's arms unconscious and unmoving.

Robert had been too stunned by everything that happened to move for a while, until eventually fear of the Iron Maiden pushed him to get up and run. He hurried into the forest and around to the bottom of the ravine, Eventually finding the others, who were, against all odds, still alive. He looked around, wishing there was something he could do for their injuries, but he was hardly a healer. The one and only thing he could think to do was maybe ease their pain with his music, and whether or not it would even work he didn't know. But he tried it anyway, taking out his lute and playing a soothing, relaxing song.

Whisper cried silently as the others went about their business; the soothing music in the background. She kept Serafinno against her; ignoring her nudity and she shifted the dragon. She tried to get him to move to no avail; he was dying.

"No, no, no, no...Finn please..." she cried. Everyone was dead or they were going to die and it was her fault. She couldn't and didn't know how to defend herself; she had been useless. Whisper raised Finns' head to her cheek and rubbed against it affectionately: letting her tears speckle his scales. Finn was encased in a golden glow as she put her energy into saving him.
