Embers would be crazy and all,but he knew the sad truth.They all were there for a reason.Some were maniacs,another ones were assasins,but...Why was she there,on the first place?

 

 

She tried as hard as she could to remember why was she there.But for now,the only clue of her stance there was "An experiment"

 

She knew that those scientist would do horrible things to her,but,even with all that,she didn't showed any sign of fear.Not bexause she didn't wanted to show it,if not because she wasn't scared of them,even knowing what they would make to her...

Embers slowly calmed down, wiping the tears mixed with the blood he had not yet been able to wash off away on his hoof. He looked at lightwing, still teary eyes and sighed, wondering why it had all ended up like this, why had it all had to go downhill. His eyes started to get teary, but he shut them before he could cry anymore. Lightwing didnt seem to mind, so why should he?

Ariel slowly lifted her head, turning her gaze towards the mare that had spoken to her. "Oh... Hi. I'm Ariel," she muttered, her voice just barely loud enough to be heard by the other. "Wish I... could say it's nice to meet you, but..." She laid her head back down on the cold floor. "I don't want to be here at all... I don't belong here..."

 

Tears started welling in her eyes as a choked sob escaped her. "I-I've already said it... I'm not crazy... I shouldn't be here, why am I still here..." She started shivering, the worst of her anxiety and emotions starting to get to her. "I want to go home..." she whined, whimpering like a little foal.

 

Normally, she wouldn't be so terribly emotional, despite the sensitive mare she was - but given the situation, was her fear not perfectly understandable?

After looking at how Embers cried,Lightwing started to ask to herself what was to feel things..

 

Then,she started to think on the other ponies that were jailed too.They were all depressed,like Ariel...sad,like that human...scared...or a combination of all those things,like Embers...

 

While all of them were feeling panic,she was there.Calmed,without showing any sign of panic.Many people would love to love without fear,or sadness.But it's different when you live it everyday,and you see that ponies must have feelings.

 

She couldn't feel nothing,but,she felt that was out of place,even there,with all those crazy ponies...crazy like her...

Embers kept staring at the ground for a few seconds, before getting up and walking over to lightwing, sitting next to her. He looked out the door, at the grass that was waving. He sighed and looked over at lightwing "How do you do it? You dont seem to feel anything, no fear, no sadness...Nothing"

Lightwing looked at Embers,and proceeded to answer him.

"I'm not sure.I'm just on that way....No matter what happens around myself,i can't seem to show any feeling for it"

 

She brushed again her mane,before talking again

"Maybe that's the reason if why am I here...It's not normal for a pony to be emotionless.A normal pony here would be terrified.But me?I'm just like always...No fear,no sadness..."

"It's okay, I believe you. Like I believe that only 10% of the ponies here really are insane. I've been wanting to go home for months now, but I don't remember if I have a home." Angelica sighed and began a process of opening and closing her wings. "I ccompletely understand, after all most of us don't belong here. No matter what kind of crap they do to us, we have to be strong. For the hell of a chance we get out of here. You can do this, I believe in you."

Ariel slowly looked towards the winged female once more, sniffling and hiccuping as she tried to stem the flow of her tears to no avail, and tried to keep herself from trembling with much the same result. The young mare seemed to hardly even care that she was encountering such odd creatures in this place; her concern was more focused on the issue at hoof - or hand.

 

"I... I don't know if I can..." she responded, her voice barely more than a whimper. "I'm not... s-strong at all..."

As they took Nayru in, two more ponies, brought out another character being a pony. A pegasus to be exact as he was thrown in he cursed before he got up. "That was really painful...the hell did they do to me"

 

((It is painful when I have to clean or vacuum  when I am typing and then when i finish I see 9 new replies...))

Embers glanced over at lightwing with tears in his eyes. He sighed and looked at the ground, curling into a little ball that was leaning on lightwing. He closed his eyes and smiled at her warmth, even if she couldnt feel anything, she still seemed nice. Who knows, maybe he could excape from this place. With that thought, he fell asleep

Angelica lifted her upper body slowly to face Arial. She reached through the bars, wincing and grabbed Arial' hooves.

"You can, Arial. I believe in you. You can get through this, you want to know how I know? Because you have some pony that is missing you. And tell me Arial, would that pony want you to go risking your life trying to get away? No. That pony' d want you to stay here, where you have the most powerful thing in the world keeping you alive. Your.... Memories. "A tear dropped out of Angelica's eye and onto the ground.

Lightwing looked at how Embers was leaning on to her.She could've stopped him there,but...what damage was on letting him do this one time?

 

She let him lean on next to her,amd rubbed his head

"I swear that I'll find an answer to all of this,I swear"

 

She couldn't resist neither the urge to sleep,and,although she wamted to stay awake,she ended falling asleep too...

Ariel's ears flicked back in surprise when Angelica grabbed her hooves, though she quickly realized it to be a non-threatening gesture. At the mention of someone that would be missing her, one mare immediately entered Ariel's mind: Galatea, her adoptive mother.

 

Ariel knew that wherever she was, Galatea was probably worried sick... or perhaps not. The two hadn't seen one another since the... incident... and their separation hadn't exactly been on good terms.

 

But the memories... She remembered. She remembered the exact moment she had snapped, turnrd into a different pony with a lust for blood and suffering. She knew exactly what she did; no multiple personality excuse to hide behind, for it was her and her alone. Her and her insanity.

 

"No... nonono... No!" she cried. "I... I can't... The memories... they hurt... They're mine, but not mine..." She clenched her eyes shut, as if that would block out everything, as a fresh wave of tears flooded her eyes and spilled over. "It hurts..."

"I know, mine... the few I have are painful to. I'm sorry, Arial. If it makes you feel any better I've lost all of my memories. All I remember is waking up in my cell one day, and being here ever since. You are strong, I know you are. I have faith in you. " Angelica questioned herself on why she was being so.. caring.

Nauru was soon thrown back in her cells only she was covered in blood and her left eye was missing and part of her right ear was cut off. Her body just laid there on the floor not moving but lightly breathing.

Ariel paused for several moments in thought. She hadn't considered what it would have been like to have next to no memories at all... The bad, along with the good. The dreaded things one wished to forget as well as the cherished memories. That was a fate almost as terrible, if not more so, than having to face bad memories.

 

She sniffled and wiped her eyes, actually seeming assured by Angelica's words as she gave a faint shadow of a smile. Maybe, just maybe, she could find it in herself somewhere to be able to stay strong...

The young mare was suddenly startled when Naryu was tossed back into the respective cell - and in a considerably rougher shape than before. She gasped in fright, jolting to the other side of her own cell.

 

Then, getting a better look at the battered female, Ariel asked in horror, "Wh-What happened...?" As if she really expected an answer. It was obvious that Naryu was in no condition to move, let alone talk. But... Ariel felt uneasy not knowing what brought this upon Naryu.

Nayru opened her one good eye but didn't move at all. She heard a voice before getting up until she fell to the ground. She dragged her del and leaned against the wall before looking at Ariel. "They...took my eye out...I was wide awake...none of them cared...the just smiled as the slowly and forcefully pulled it out of its socket..." Nayru shook in fright remembering the horrid memory.

 

Flash back

The ponies put her on a table before strapping her in so she couldn't escape. She struggled and tried to get out but was stopped when she saw various tools and everything. "Now hold still...this will only hurt...a lot" The doctor said as he brought a scalpel and slowly shoves it in her ey as she struggled and screamed. She was stopped as another pony came to hold her head still before finally her eye popped out. One of the ponies lost their grip on her and hit the doctor causing him to cut off a bit of her ear in the process.

Embers slowly woke up, looked at the ground for a second and forgiting that he was in this terrible place, he Almost thought he was back home, next to a fire due to lightwings warmth next to him. He shook his head and rubbed his eyes, glancing over at lgihtwing with a slight smile on his face, she also seemed to be sleeping

Lightwing slowly started to wake up,as she saw how Embers was still next to her.

"He's such a persistent guy...."

 

She leaned away from him,and then she acted and woke him up

"I think that it's time to wake up,Embers..."

 

She looked through that window again.They still were on that cell,but she didn't cared...

Embers yawned and glanced over at lightwing with a slight smile "Alright alright, what ever you say mom" He said with a giggle and tilted his head back, looking up at the roof "So, I wonder what kinda of other things there in this building...not just us, but there must be other peaple too, right?"

Ariel suddenly wished she hadn't asked - but really, what sort of answer had she been expecting when asking what happened to someone that was now missing an eye and part of an ear? Nonetheless, the mere thought of it, the mental image it brought into her mind, was enough to make the young mare feel sick to her stomach.

 

She didn't know why this had been done to Naryu, but she had a good idea who. The ponies in white. She thought they were simply doctors meant to keep an eye on the mentally unstable residents of this place. But was it more than that? Did they have a different agenda than what she thought she knew? Was this, what she saw of Naryu's poor state, the fate of the rest of them here? If so, who was the poor soul that the ponies in white would get their hooves on the next time?

 

Was she next?

 

The thought sent her into a panic, anxiety and fear taking hold. Clang, clang! Her hooves clashed against metal as she pounded on the door futilely. "S-Somepony! Please! Get me out of here! I'm not supposed to be here! Please!" she yelled, hoping she would get someone's attention, vainly praying that someone would come and let her out of that accursed cell. "I'm not crazy! I'm not crazy! Please... I want to go home!"

(Angelica is laying outside Arial's cage.)

 

"Oh my gosh...Nayru..." and then she started crying. Which surprised not just them but herself as well.

 

Flashback-

 

The doctor stood over a young mare, who was probably no older than eleven years old. 

 

The Nurse walked up behind the doctor. "Doctor, are you sure this is right? I mean, she is just a little filly."

 

"Redheart it does not matter weather it is right or not. Now, hand me the knife."

"It's going to be okay Arial. I will find a way to bust us out of here...just remember what I said, stay strong."

She wanted to talk with them all,or,even worse,to talk with those who trapped her om the first place here.But it probably wasn't an option.Whem it had to happen,it would happen.
